We have just returned from 2 weeks The hotel is fantastic with amazing, hard working staff. We had a problem with our door and it was sorted before we had chance to return to the room. It’s exceptionally clean and it is all day, constantly cleaned and swept. The toilets were immaculate in the outside areas . Room was large with clean towels and sheets daily and a mini bar replaced daily, lots of bottled water given in the rooms. Amazing beach, cloudy sea but very clean and again all day it is constantly cleaned. Kayaks to hire free of charge. Food was great with a different theme every night. Entertainment was good, there are plenty of spaces around to enjoy a cocktail with a game of UNO 😃 I would definitely recommend the Santo Domingo trip booked with Amstar in the hotel lobby and snorkelling with nurse sharks and stingrays. Overall a a fabulous, chilled hotel with first class service. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

5 star atmosphere
This place is so neat. It’s along the water in a gated area so you will feel extremely safe. All of the employees are so friendly, they drive you to your room and help you with your bags, rooms are cleaned daily. If there are unexpected issues don’t be upset. The staff will work hard to keep you satisfied. Even the servers at the buffet, bars and lounges help keep a smile on your face. They make it a great place for all ages to have a good time. Pick the all inclusive, it’s worth it

just arrive from bahia principe la romana we had a wonderful time rooms were nice also clean the food was great the people who work there are kind and wonderful all i have to say it was real worth it also mini club was excellent with the children the pool was clean and wonderful the beach was nice the restaurants were very good also the buffets were excellent cant wait to go back ty bahia principe la romana see you soon .

Feb 04, 2026General personal views of Bahir principe grand hotel
If I had gone golfing I would have appreciated it more as it looked a good venue for golfers enjoying a society tour with all inclusive deal. The fact I was there with mh wife and another couple changed my view. Firstly the rooms on the normal rate looked shabby, tired, they really needed a major overall. We didn't accept first room we were put in, after the reception guy said ill put you in a good room, probably after a tip, we got the to a very dark room, a massive tree towered right outside first floor balcony, doors wood just about shut, front door and toilet door badly warped with big gaps all round so mosquitoes could come and go. Door fasteners poor repair. Bathroom appliances, basins and baths marked, gap in sink unit base, trying to fall away. Ceiling tiles dirty and dusty. Mini Fridge, ceiling fan and air con noisy. Restuarant buffet as fine, nice variety of food, well cooked, service good except for a good hot cup of tea or coffee. Gourmet restuarant very good, Italian restaurant good but El Pescador pretty poor, pool and beach good, pool bar acceptable drinks. Sunbeds OK, good towels. Day time entertainment quite good with pool games beach type activities and beach bar. Gym small but ok for holiday workouts. Casino, late night music club and snack bar. Entertainment some decent some poor. There was an option for 15 US dollars each per day to up grade to Bouganville side with extra choice restuarants and free pool table etc but did not take it on.

Overall great but very disappointing ted by clarity of the ocean water.
Disappointed ocean water was not turquoise..that was why we came. Pool was refreshing and clean. You must claim your deck chairs by 7:00 am. Exercise and dance lessons are basically for fun don't expect a workout. I was very careful and picky with my food and drink, yet I still got a mild bout of diarrhea. Lots of bottled water available. No shortage of alcohol if that's what you are looking for.
