Beautiful March Wedding!
What a great experience! We hosted our daughter’s wedding at Bahama Beach Club on March 16. I cannot say enough great things about the entire event. Kellie, Serenity, Natalie and Vanessa did an outstanding job coordinating all of the details. We had a large group (over 80) so there were many details. The rooms were beautiful, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding and the venue was beautiful. It really was an perfect event, start to finish. They hosted a welcome bonfire and cocktail hour and were very accommodating when we decided to combine that with a cookout on the beach. The beach venue for the ceremony was so beautiful and the grounds made terrific photo backdrops. To say the reception was fun would be an understatement. BBC knows how to throw a party! Kaci did a great job as DJ and the food was plentiful and delicious. The entire staff truly went above and beyond to meet all of our needs. The event staff went out of their way to engage with the guests and were super friendly. My only regret is that we didn't have another hour. Didn't want it to end. We have so many great memories from our four days at BBC. We are already talking about a return trip! Thank you so much for making Abby and Chason’s day one they won’t forget! I have posted numerous pictures because pictures of previous events held at BBC were very helpful to me and my daughter when we were planning her big day.
When we got there No help with bags. Just given the key. No info about restaurants etc. We had to go get ice and soap and asked for trash bags. No cleaning service. Had to wash towels every day. Beautiful view. Spacious rooms. Needs to be updated. Pool ok. No beach towels. Chairs and unbrellas are on the beach. Pain in the butt to rent paddle boards. If you are coming for the basic living come here.
Beautiful beach and spacious condos. But, Warning don't use Freeland Rolle as a taxi!
I just returned from Bahama Beach Club yesterday traveling with my Mom and Daughter. I want to start out with a negative so I'm sure that's it's seen and this doesn't have to do directly with BBC. We had a taxi driver named Freeland Rolle pick us up from Treasure Cay airport upon arrival, he seemed very nice and offered to drive us during our stay. He even showed up at BBC while we were having dinner to confirm that he was taking us to the airport the following day for our departure. We agreed and he showed up. He drove us to the wrong airport (Marsh Harbour) and then when we arrived we said this doesn't look like the airport that we remember flying in to. The drive seemed longer but we were jet lagged arriving after a red eye and a 5 hour flight delay by Silver Air. He dropped us off, drove away and the lady at Silver Air checked our flight and told us we were at the wrong airport. Within 5 minutes she called Freeland Rolle for us and told him to come back. He said that he wouldn't. She even gave him a piece of her mind and said that wasn't right. This ended up costing us $200 instead of the $35 it should have if he would have taken us to the correct airport. I will certainly take some of the blame for not confirming that he knew where he was taking us, but I felt like it was a scam since he didn't make it right and take us to Treasure Cay airport. Regarding Bahama Beach Club. The condo was great, very spacious and perfect for large families. The location is fabulous on a spectacular beach (and I've been to a lot), the best spot on Treasure Cay. The service at BBC was average, not extremely friendly as I have read. I actually found the people in Nassau and the Exumas to be much friendlier. For the price, I expected better service. The food is average, drinks good. Be sure to get a golf cart so you can get to local restaurants and the grocery store. Bring your own beach towels, they don't provide them. If I come back, I would stay here or rent a house on this beach.
Bahama Beach Club
I would definitely recommend this vacation destination to others. It is nice and quiet. The pool is nice but the beach is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are nice and neat and there is plenty of room for our large family. If you are used to more of a resort feel this may not be for you. We like to cook a lot of our own meals and spend most of our days on our boat. There are restaurants but not many close by. The ones that are here have excellent beach views. I will definitely be coming back.
Just returned from our second stay at this property. We stayed in a three bedroom condo on the restaurant side (not pool bar side), which we preferred. Our condo (2071) was well appointed, clean and comfortably accommodated four adults and two children. The beach is unparalleled. The calm waters make for a great spot for children and adults alike. This is not the place for you if you are looking for shops, spas, restaurants, and nightlife. It’s remote, tranquil and ideal for relaxing. There is plenty to do on the water however - island hopping, fishing, diving, etc. to keep all ages occupied. This is an ideal spot for multi-generational travel. We had several meals at both the beach bar and at their theme nights. The food was good, though I wouldn’t say fancy. The atmosphere is quite casual and servers friendly. It is expensive and there can be occasional glitches. We suggest renting a golf cart to get around in TCB. Advance rental may be best during busy weeks. SUP and kayaks can be rented and delivered. Again, advance rentals may be advisable. We rented a SUP and found it to be lots of fun exploring the sand bar and small island off sand bar. Boat rentals are fairly easy from marina. Provisions are limited, so if you have any special items you had best carry it in. We bring all dry goods with us and buy fresh fruit, vegetables and meats at market daily. The market is expensive and limited. Beware of holidays, as the markets close or have limited hours. Water is not potable, so be sure to buy bottled water. The beach bar will often supply you with water if needed. We strongly suggest flying Delta into Marsh Harbor. We had problems with Silver Airways and met a number of families who experienced several days, yes DAYS, of delays. Beware that access to and from the island is limited and not particularly reliable. I would recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any issues (we use Travelguard), as these “issues” can be very costly. If you are able, charter a flight into TCB. In terms of things that could use improvement, our condo could have used more dishes - we ran through ours at each meal with 6 people. Our washer had problems but it was resolved fairly quickly and the BBC did our laundry at no charge in the interim. More info should be given to new guests about things like water, grocery access, etc. All minor issues though. The staff was always very friendly and accommodating. We loved our time on the island and hope to return again soon!
