The Aston Waikiki Sunset pool area will be closed for maintenance work and repairs to the pool tile and deck Feb 24, 2013 - Mar 15, 2013. Work will be restricted to 8:00a.m. - 4:30p.m. Monday - Friday.

Great place. We had a very nice room with a great view. The kitchen and two bedrooms made our stay very convenient. Clean and well kept room. No issues with the room during our 8 day stay.

Sep 02, 2025Horrible Hotel and Horrible Experaince !
I was highly disappointed as we paid a lot for this hotel through Priceline. The first night we arrived, we were given a suite with two twin beds and saw many buildings. (which we paid for a king bed and ocean view) The room smelled. We went downstairs to complain and were told there were no other rooms available and that we would have to wait until the morning to speak to someone. The next morning, we had to visit the desk three times before we were assisted. They would not answer the phone when we tried to call from our room. Finally, they changed our room with no price discount from the night before. Next, the televisions in both rooms continued not to work, so we had to have a technician come and fix them. We asked for clean towels two days after we arrived there (even went downstairs). We were given an attitude, and it took over an hour to get our towels. There was nothing special about this hotel as it was old, absolutely no accommodations, and customer service was horrible! I would not recommend this hotel and I definitely will never go here again!

I booked a room on Agoda, and my payment already includes amenity fee. I was charged again the amenity fee when I check in at the counter. I told the staff that I paid the amenity fee to Agoda already, but she still forced me to pay the amenity fee again, otherwise I cannot check in. This is cheating and not acceptable. I’ll never come back to this cheating hotel and won’t recommend it.

Place was great for our family. Great location, only 5 min walk to the beach. Friendly staff. Everything was good except pull out sofa bed was not comfortable at all. Bed in the room was great very comfortable.

Do better with parking
The place was amazing it was in a good spot. The room was beautiful there a was plenty of room for our family. Just the security guards need to be more friendly. Everything was awesome the kids enjoyed the pool, the close walks to the beach. Definetly would come back and stay. Just make sure to do a little better with your parking spaces as well. There were 5 cones covering parking spaces that we could've utilized with our infinity. I scraped the top and couldn't go any higher.
- AdvisoryPlease be advised that effective immediately, the Aston Waikiki Sunset will no longer be able to accommodate parking for oversized vehicles. Any vehicle larger than a minivan will not fit into the garage. Please take this into consideration before making a rental decision.
- AdvisoryThe City and County of Honolulu, Department of Planning and Permitting implemented Revised Ordinance 22-7 (Bill 41(2021)which, among other things, requires all guests to sleep in bedrooms or a living room with a sofa bed, no more than 2 adults per room.
