    Exceptional service, wonderful experience

We have been vacationing here over 10 years, at Tradewinds level, they never disappoint. The staff in the Tradewinds is so attentive to your needs, the breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings are always well planned, deliciously prepared, and the staff is constantly checking to see that items are replenished. Special thanks to "Jackie" at the Tradewinds, she's always ready to help with dinner reservations and any other issues that may arise. Also want to mention Nik Hernandis, Front Desk Supervisor. He is definitely a "hands on" manager, always asking guests if there's anything he can do to make their stay more enjoyable. There is renovation work going on throughout the property, the noise is minimal, I wouldn't let that sway anyone from staying here. Lobby bar has nightly entertainment and a wonderful gelato stand, it's addictive!!! The pools are well kept, grounds are immaculate, beach is nothing short of beautiful. We've tried other properties, this is definitely our favorite!!!

    AWFUL MARRIOTT EXPERIENCE!!

Unfortunately, we came during renovations and this was not known until after booking. The construction rang through the entire resort everyday including constant fire alarms. I called when i became aware of the construction because my sister has bad migraines and allergies asking to be away from any renovations. I was told this would not be a problem. This was not the case after spending many days and nights in a dark hotel room, I started reading that guests were being relocated to other properties. For first timers to Aruba and a Bonvoy member I will never stay at a Marriott property again. Knowing my sister’s medical conditions Marriott never offered an alternative nor did the check in on her. Also room service was not consistent and short staffed- we decided to hang the do not disturb sign almost daily. Disappointed and no longer a member…. NY vacationer

Zero ability to rest equals zero stars

I’m writing this at 1:00 a.m. on our second night of a six-night stay, unable to sleep—again—because of the nonstop pounding bass from yet another party somewhere nearby. Last night, it was a deafening event with fireworks next door at the Ritz that lasted until 10 p.m. Tonight, it’s the same relentless thumping all over again, location unclear, but the result is the same: zero rest, zero peace. During the day, the hotel itself blasted poolside music so loudly (via DJ?) that even inside our room, we couldn’t escape the noise. The walls may as well be made of paper. Resting, reading, or simply relaxing in quiet is entirely out of the question. Our 4-year-old cannot sleep, and neither can we. The property is visually beautiful, but looks only go so far when you’re trapped in an unlivable soundscape. This is not a luxury resort—it’s a club scene with beds. If you’re a family with young children or simply value rest on your vacation, avoid this hotel at all costs. If your idea of a getaway is partying until dawn and being surrounded by constant noise, this might be your place. For us, this has been a maddening and exhausting experience—and we’re only one-third of the way through it. Zero stars. We deeply regret booking here.

    Lobby Bar Show

Great shows with Amy Sorinio every Tuesday and Friday night! She sings a great variety of music and interacts excellently with all members of the audience. So wonderful how she encourages everyone to dance or sing with the show. She wanders through the crowd interacting with people and encourages requests. Her opera pieces are inspiring. Thanks Amy for making our vacation that much better!!!

    Another great vacation

We arrived at the Marriott and immediately received a welcome drink. I went to the desk with my voucher for a handicapped room with two queen beds and a garden view. My partner has a problem with his leg and can't get into a tub. I was informed that the handicapped rooms were filled, and nothing was guaranteed. This was never explained when I booked with my travel agent. They offered me a walk in shower with a king bed and a roll in cot. This was not a solution to me. Then after a discussion in the office she offered a room overlooking the adult pool with two beds and walk in shower. Since it was a lower class we received a resort credit. While we waited for our room to be cleaned we went to Waves for lunch. We were greeted by Lisette who remembered us from the past two years. Good food and service. When our room was ready, we realized it overlooked the roof of the walkway to the adult pool. It did turn out to be a quiet location so we settled in. The next morning we went down for breakfast and were greeted by Missy, the resort cat. She is so special. The hostess, Vangie, gave us a warm welcome. It's amazing how the staff remembers you from year to year. She just started off our day with a smile. Our first waiter was Pope Francis. He blessed us and the weather was sunny after that. We also had Jose , Maybelline and Anna Lucia. We kept asking for our favorite, Elizabeth and finally she was working in the morning. We took a picture with her and ended our vacation. Hopefully we can solve the reservation problem and go back next year.
