    Something for Everyone

The grounds are beautiful and the beach is breathtaking. The pool water is very clean and warm, service is immaculate. Shout out to the morning Yoga teacher from NRG2GO, Sarah, who took us through a wonderful routine each morning before breakfast; a great way to start the day. Quite a few kids at the main pool on some days but there are numerous quiet pools and areas tucked away everywhere, something for everyone here.

Beautiful resort but has some major drawbacks for certain visitors

This resort had some major pros and cons for our trip. Overall I would highly recommend it if you're looking for a quiet, romantic, wellness-style vacation and as long as you don't need any dietary accommodations. If you're looking for a little bit of social or upbeat energy, or if you have allergies, this is not the place to go. The pros: - absolutely beautiful grounds and aesthetic. The landscaping, pools, rooms, beach, dining areas, etc. are all incredibly well done and feel upscale - the main infinity pool is salt water and overlooks the bay, which had a ton of whale sightings (at least in January) - everything was immaculately clean and tended to - the spa/wellness activities were excellent, a special note of appreciation for Bren with morning yoga and Gustavo with the sound bath; also the fire dancers were cool - some staff are exceptionally kind and helpful, a special thanks to Alberto and Elizabeth at Blend and Anibal and Isaac with the food staff (if you do decide to go with allergies, these are your people to talk to) - rooms are spacious, well set up, have comfortable beds/bedding, and have great views; we were in a 'garden view' that overlooked a pool and we could still see the ocean from it - there are lots of little touches that were appreciated, such as a welcome bottle of wine and snacks in the room, rolled towels in all the common area bathrooms, plenty of variety in beautiful seating areas to spend time in with fire pits and views The cons: - a massive challenge with having allergies accommodated. Specifically for us, that was Celiac Disease. We spent hours each day fighting to find someone who understood and could accommodate for a safe meal to eat. The staff would ask if you had any allergies when you arrived at each spot, but then would not follow up or do anything about it. The buffet and several restaurants (Silk and Al Forno) said I simply could not eat there at all. Blend and Essence were able to provide meals, but the selection was extremely limited (I ate the same meal most days and had to speak to very specific people to get help with it), it took significant effort to get that food, and the service for it was very very slow. We tried speaking to concierge and management about it, who were kind and understanding, but their support unfortunately never trickled down to the actual service side of things unless they handled it themselves. If you have an allergy, I would strongly encourage you to consider a different resort - they rope you into a sales pitch immediately upon arrival where they push to sign you up for a 90 minute tour for VIP membership, which in my opinion would not be worth the 'perks' they give you in exchange for your time as there is always an additional service charge associated anyways - this resort seems to be having a bit of an identity crisis. They are not adults only, but there isn't much of anything kid-related there for the kids to do and the pools do not allow speakers, balls, floaties, etc. They also have a range of activities, which upon booking looked ideal to us as we wanted a mixture of spa/wellness and upbeat energy, but once there the spa activities were a hit while the upbeat ones fell flat. Moses was heading up the entertainment and he's amazing, friendly, and engaging, but he's fighting an uphill battle as most guests ignore the events/activities entirely. The demographic was largely couples and middle-aged/older groups, which did not seem to align with some of the afternoon and evening activities offered (e.g., no engagement with floating beer pong or blackjack, very few people got up to dance during the evening entertainment, low socializing, etc.). - this perhaps doesn't apply to everyone, but when booking through Westjet/Nexus we were supposed to have a rep on site and we did not the entire time we were there, so we struggled to figure things out through their virtual assistant on the app, which was very time consuming and frustrating when trying to book a tour and determine our transfer. Additionally, once we did get a tour booked, they booked us in wrong on their end, so an in-person rep would have been very helpful - the wifi is a bit unreliable, depending where you are on resort it can cut out easily In short, super stunning resort with excellent wellness vibes but little-to-no social/upbeat energy and significant issues with food accommodations. Would definitely go back to this bay for the beach and views though!

This place is Mexican bliss and filled with amazing staff.

We just returned from Armony with memories of an amazing holiday. Whoever does the hiring at this resort deserves much praise. The staff are incredible. We cannot say enough about them and wish I took note of more names. From Victor who greeted us so warmly when we arrived and departed to Moises who is involved in any fun event (and there are many activities to keep you busy) to poll concierge Sandra (and the young man who works with her) who book the 5 course Divum restaurant and the cabanas (highly recommend) to Daniel and all the great servers and bar tenders who work poolside and of course Jessica, Catherine and Oscar at La Brise (the buffet) and another woman whose name I forgot but she seemed to be working everywhere). So many stand outs - we didn't meet a staff member who didn't treat us well. I noticed some guests who treated the staff poorly which was my only frustration with the resort. Look after the staff and they will look after you and treat people with the respect they deserve. The location is great for a relaxing holiday, the beach is excellent for sunrise and sunset walks and the water is very swimable. There are big waves to move through before you reach the calm waters so it's not kid friendly. We saw whales every day and they also have lounge chairs and umbrellas at the beach which are meticulously set up and tore down every day. The buffet was excellent with something for every diet and far more food than you can imagine. Divum is the 5 course menu and the short ribs could be cut with a spoon and and rich in flavor. Good idea to go early before it gets busy. The pizza and pasta restaurant was also a stand out and you can watch the sunsets. I will be dreaming about their lasagne and focaccia bread. Again, staff are great (shocker) Blends is your go to morning coffee stop and evening bar. The shrimp and fried provolone small plates were tasty and they serve great pizza at lunch. They do have a signature drink that is made with the costacomati fruit which wasn't our fave BUT the costacomanti tree is beyond unique (of you are into that) and you can learn about them on the nature walk. The gardens are the best we've seen at any resort. The gardeners are out every morning tending to the green magic that fills this resort. They are probably the unsung heros - them and the young girls who keep the washrooms so clean. I almost forgot about the sound healing sessions. It might sound out there but they were a favorite activity. Beyond relaxing. They also have a spa which looked great but seemed a tad on the pricey side. The chairs by the infinity swim up pool have towels on them to save them by 7 am despite the plentiful signs that ask guests not to reserve BUT it's a common practise at resorts. If you can't beat em, join em. There are other pools in the resort or you can rent a cabana. If you want a restful holiday this is the place. There were a group of young women who looked like they were there for a bachelorette - they were having a good time but it isn't the place to party, unless its at the swim up bar in the afternoons. If you are a member the booking process is a bit of a challenge but worth it. We loved it and can't wait to go back! Muchas gracias Armony.
