A pleasant experience for our 35th Anniversary!

We just spent 2 weeks at the Royalton and have enjoyed our stay. The well maintained gardens, the size of the resort and especially the courteous manners of all staff, from the gardener to the waitresses to the cleaning lady, each and every one had a warm greeting and a smile at every moment. As life goes, there were some issues in our room ( defective light, no internet, sink not draining) but I found that I could place a maintenance request on the app and within a short time, someone was at the door to fix it. We enjoyed all the restaurants, the Café, the buffet, pool and beach and will leave tomorrow with great memories. I was close to canceling our stay due to the very many negative reviews floating around but am glad I didn’t!

Diamond club/butler service worth the splurge!

This resort is well situated, has a great beach with beautiful views. We upgraded our accommodations to include both the Diamond club and butler service. Well worth the investment! Butlers Khem and Earl were so caring and thoughtful. In addition to arranging meals, logistics, etc They were there to assist with any requests, questions or issues that we had, added so many wonderful surprises throughout the week and made my husband’s birthday extra special:). Francess in the Diamond club was extremely helpful both prior to and during our stay. She was essential to ensuring the issues that we experienced with our bungalow early in our stay were promptly addressed so that we did not have to move. Diamond club gives you access to some additional dining options including a full service breakfast at Grazie. Shout out to Nelson, Petagay and Jordana who gave us a warm welcome and thoughtfully remembered our favorite items each morning. If you are considering some of the food & beverage options they offer for an additional Cost, I highly recommend that you treat yourself to one or more of the following which were highlights of our stay: - Romantic private dinner on the beach (in the gazebo). So unique & special. Chef Marilyn prepared the perfect meal For us (her roasted tomato soup was the best I’ve ever had!). - culinary experience 7 course meal prepared by chef Rosalyn was absolutely incredible. Come hungry! These were our 2 favorite meals! Followed by dinner at Grazie. - private cocktail hour. “Ricky Mojito” (Ricardo) is so talented and passionate about his craft. This was both fun and informative. We can’t wait to try what we learned when we get home! Food/Beverage (ie beyond the paid experiences) requires improvement which is why I rated 4/5 stars. It was mediocre overall (with a few exceptions) Additionally, we noticed a pattern with restaurants and bars being out of many key Ingredients or menu items, significantly limiting options. There were no cocktail menus, or signature cocktails atypical for an all Inclusive resort.

  Highly Recommend!!!

We came to The Royalton for a mother/daughter birthday trip. This was our first visit to the island and this property, and we chose to upgrade to the Diamond Club. So glad we did! Our butlers, Beverly and Marcus were amazing. They took wonderful care of us, and they surprised us by decorating our room, and our dinner table for a special birthday meal. Out at the beach and by the pool, Dermany, provided exceptional service with drinks and food. He was so nice and professional! It was a fantastic week on a beautiful property, made even better by the amazing staff!

  Amazing vacation

This is our 3rd time staying at this resort in their over water bungalow. We just love the atmosphere and peacefulness here. Our butler Earl just makes the vacation that much better. He is very attentive to detail and can pretty much source and get you anything your heart desires. On his days off Khem stepped up as butler and was really good. It is so nice to be able to fully relax here. We stayed for 2 weeks and our friend came down the first week. She had so much h fun.

  Dreadful

Currently here. Was here 2 yrs ago was lovely. This time ....not good. Restaurants listed not all open. Lots of food on menu..not available. Standard of resort hugely decreased. Might I mention also .. as Currently here. Entertainment in lobby is shocking. The DJ music seems to entertain the staff but tonight it cleared the lobby by 22 15. This isn't vacation vibes...not everyone wants to listen to the music pounding at full volume that isn't music for a wide variety of clients. Read the room!!!! Im on vacation and the bar was emptied by 22 15?????? Disappointing on all levels on 2nd visit.. 2 more days to endure ...we spent seriously big money to travel here .. never ever again. The staff are amazing...they unfortunately have to deal with so much abuse as management don't afford them the proper food to serve. ..the proper anything to provide a half decent experience! Management here should be ashamed.. this place was ok...not anymore. We have been...twice... We WONT be back!
