  Unforgettable cabana experience thanks to Jahvonie!

  First, the positives; the location is absolutely stunning. The resort sits on a small cove with crystal clear, calm water that truly feels like a private beach. It’s picturesque, peaceful, and the grounds are beautifully maintained. The natural setting alone makes it a very relaxing place to unwind. Unfortunately, the resort itself could use some attention. The hotel felt a bit rundown in areas and is clearly in need of maintenance and updates. Throughout our stay, there were recurring issues that were hard to overlook. Several restaurants ran out of certain food items nightly — for example, the steakhouse only had one type of beef available. We also experienced multiple instances where certain types of alcohol were unavailable at the bars. Public restrooms ran out of toilet paper on more than one occasion, which was disappointing for an all-inclusive property. With some improvements in maintenance, better inventory management, and more attention to guest experience, this resort could truly match the beauty of its location. The setting is five-star worthy — the operations just need to catch up. On the other hand - our cabana experience was absolutely amazing, and our attendant, Jahvanie, is the reason why! From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcomed, taken care of, and ready to enjoy every second of our cabana days! Jahvanie went above and beyond all day long — always attentive, incredibly friendly, and full of great energy. He kept the drinks flowing, the food coming, and the vibe FUN. Our cabana turned into the best party on the property thanks to him! It was exactly what we were hoping for and more. Renting a cabana and requesting Jahvanie is a must!

  Great resort other than lacking in the food department

  The resort was fantastic with a lovely beach and beautiful pools. We paid extra for Diamond club to get priority bookings to restaurants and quieter pool areas along with butlers to assist with bookings ect. Emerson and Dyamond did an amazing job looking after us making sure we had everything needed and that we were relaxed. And keeping us informed to what is going on. The room was perfect and serviced at least twice a day and the fridge was kept topped up daily with everything we asked for. The one thing that seems to let this resort down is food choices and availability. The 1st night I tried to book a restaurant only to be told the only one available was the buffet as the rest were fully booked. So I asked if they could book the next night, accepting we only arrived that afternoon, only to be told they were still fully booked. After complaining ( which I never normally do) they managed to get me booked into different restaurants each night at very random times. I have to say for a 5 star resort the choices in the restaurants was very limited and out of stock on a lot of the menus. In the steak house the portions were very small and again with a lack of choice. Flank steak or mixed grill other than fish, chicken or pork ribs. They do offer a 14oz rib eye at extra cost ( $50us ) which I think is a rip off considering that is a surcharge after you have all ready paid for a meal. It’s the 1st all inclusive holiday I’ve been to where you loose weight. To expect people to return they really need to up the ante. More restaurants with more tables and greater choices. Even the buffet had far less choice than any other all inclusive we’ve been to by a long long way bearing in mind this was the most expensive one.

  Beautiful Resort & Location - Food needs improving

  We travelled with 4 couples. We all booked same type of room, but 2 couples definitely did not get the room they paid for. Grounds were stunning, beach gorgeous and rooms were ok. I mentioned it was my husbands birthday, they never decorated room with even. Towel swan. Now on food, even though I was able to mange to eat, there definitely needs to be an improvement on variety. Same stuff at buffet everyday. They never replenished quick enough. In a 7 day stay I had to ask for bacon at least 4 times and then they bring me out a plate. Bring the whole pan out as I’m sure others want some too. Yogurt I asked for everyday, one small bowl and when finished they never topped it off. Staff that worked at buffet I would ask them for yogurt, they say I will go get it, but they never come back. À la cartes were ok, Grazie was the best, but again they run out of stuff I,e, dessert, red wine…. I don’t even get it. Coffee shop was great, amazing coffee and service. Shout out to Ovenia! Plenty of chairs at beach and towels. Everyone told me chain is amazing, umm really? We met 3 couples that have been to other Royltons and they said, this is by far worst one. Disappointing as I really wanted to experience the hype of a Royalton.

  Beautiful property lacklustre front desk staff!

  The property was lush and the grounds were beautifully kept. The rooms were standard and our bathroom had some peeling paint and rust on faucets and shower but the pressure was fantastic. Except one day when there was only SCALDING hot water or nothing in the taps in the whole hotel which took hours to rectify. We had requested a room change to a higher floor with a view. We were on 2nd floor behind shrubbery and overlooking the overhangs with bird poop. A baby cried for 2 days straight but the front desk was Terrible! Pathetic! They did not want to help at all, kept saying they would check with room coordinator and to check back! Sooo disappointed! The buffet had a variety of items and I didn't find trouble but it was repetitive! Same Chinese noodles and rice everyday at lunch and dinner! The fresh fish was good but they often ran out of items like bacon, yogurt, beans fruit at breakfast. The restaurants were good quality and Grazie had amazing carpaccio and Osso Bucco. Service was very slow and several nights we weren't offered dessert or there was none left. The reservation app did not work but we waited in line in the morning to make a reservation daily. Antoinette was fun at that desk. The coffee shop was awesome and we went twice a day Sarah and Oveinia were fantastic! We went to the beach at 6:30 am to get chairs in front with umbrella. There were plenty of chairs but no real shade at pool. The beach was gorgeous, clean and raked every morning. The vibe entertainment was super energetic and we enjoyed the shows! Overall a beautiful property but some definite hiccups with our stay.
