This is a beautiful property that we will definitely want to return to soon. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly and will make you feel right at home. I’ve only been to Hawaii once but I can’t imagine many better places to stay than here.

Jun 12, 2025You get what you pay for
Average Resort at best. The rooms are dated, location is prime if you prefer to be near the beach. The demographic who tend to stay at this resort reflects the pricing. You’re charged a $54 daily “amenities” fee which was not articulated when booking through AMEX FHR. The longboard lounge club breakfast and dinner with drinks included helped mitigate some costs on the island. The pool is small for the amount of guests it houses, however the beach is across the street just a few feet away. The rooms were fairly barebones, but decently clean. I hated the bathroom layout. The toilet and shower is crammed in a broom closet. There’s zero space and I don’t see how a bigger person can even feel comfortable doing business on the toilet. The shower has glass on one side of the shower leaving an opened end which allows water to pool on the floor leaving you with a damp restroom and soaked floor. We had the pleasure at dining at Morimotos and were able to utilize our $100 AMEX FHR credit. The food and service was 10/10. TLDR:great location, plain room, added hidden costs, friendly staff. 6.5/10 At the end of the day these are first world problems. You’re still in Hawaii 👍🏽

Upon arrival, There were only two people at the bell desk, and no one helped with my bags. At check-in, I was downgraded to a lower room category, and no compensation was offered until I said something. When I complained that downgrading me wasn’t right and that they should refund the difference, they then offered to waive the resort fee. The next day, I met a couple who had also been downgraded—they were offered $150 off their room rate. I went back to the manager I had been dealing with and asked about this, but I still never received a refund for the difference. Instead, they offered me a resort credit. This is bad practice. I should have been refunded the difference immediately and also given a resort credit for the inconvenience. They did find me the room category I paid for the next day, however I had to wait until later in the day to get a room What an inconvenience to be on vacation bags all packed waiting to be moved to another room. The rooms were not very clean—they only did a surface clean. The carpets were filthy and overall maintenance was lacking. The Longboard Club’s outdoor furniture cushions were all worn out and not maintained. the one day I spent at the pool they had a DJ pumping out music. By the end of the day you are vibrating as not a chance of relaxation. probably perfect if you are in your 20s looking for a party all day. But not idea for the person looking for a relaxing vacation. They have brilliant marketing positioning themselves as Bougie but they are far from that.

Overall very good hotel to stay at. We got there early and had the option of checking in at noon but our room was not ready until after 3pm. I had to check in with staff in order to get our room. One of the staff was friendly. Gym was great. Overall, good stay and will be back again.

Management was unable to resolve the incredibly loud live music just outside my room; their resolution was to move me to another room that had significant mold issues. If not for the great food and fitness center on site, it would have been a terrible experience.
