Jun 06, 2025Great place to relax for the day.
We visited on a day pass from a cruise ship that was docked nearby. The drive was a little longer than I anticipated, but it was well worth it fo rthe peace and quite we had at this location. They checked us in, and everyting was smooth. Went to the beach, and got chairs and cover right away. Then we hit the beach. Drinks and food were included so we kept hydrated and even did some water wports during our stay. Before elaving we had a quick bite to eat from the buffet. Spoke to other who were stying here and told us they enjoyed it and would come back/ Hopefully we have a chance to return one day as well. Great place to relax, lounge, eat, drink and frolic in the water with no hassles or people pestering you on the beach.

We are here from May 29th for 10 nights. We want to thank Andrea Vega - customer service representative for her help and dedication. She helped us to arrange a Birthday event and on many other occasions. Thank you Andrea, you made us to feel home away from home!

We didn't want to leave!
I have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Allegro Playacar with my family. From the moment we arrived, the service was first class. Our luggage was taken directly to our rooms and check in was seamless. The bedrooms are very well proportioned, quiet and set in blocks of 4. All rooms are within easy access of the pools, beach, restaurants and entertainment. They are also well equipped with a safe, tv, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, coffee machine, and minibar (restocked daily). The restaurants and bars provide a good selection of food and drinks throughout the day. All of the staff are very friendly and work incredibly hard. Big thanks also to the chefs who took me around to tell me what options were gluten-free. There is entertainment throughout the day as well as good quality shows in the evenings. The entertainment team are always on the go - I highly recommend aqua gym, zumba and bingo! The beach is beautiful. We did not have any problems finding sunbeds on the beach or around the pools. Pool towels are provided. I can also recommend Pro-Dive who are on site. My husband and son did a few dives with them, and they also cater for beginners, offering try-dives in the pool. We will definitely visit again and hope that the style of the hotel does not change in the refurb. Thank you!

The overall customer service needs improvement. We had a leak in our room twice. We found our room flooded with my clothing and luggage wet after being out a few hours. I reported to the lobby and they simply came to drain the water and mop the floors. Never did they mention if we wanted a room change or if we needed something. My clothing was wet and no drying service was offered to me. The next morning before we did our room check out, we noticed the same leak starting. The ladies at the front desk did not really care for customer satisfaction. We were very excited to celebrate our honeymoon with Allegro, but unfortunately we will not be coming back in the future. Forgot to mentioned, that the security before getting to the hotel is insane. We almost did not make it to our reservation because I did not have my hotel reservation in hand. I had signal problems, I called the hotel over the phone so that they can confirm that I had a reservation and explained that my internet was not loading up. The only thing they said was "we are sorry but you need to show reservation confirmation to enter". I was so confused, we were able to load up my email. Overall, very bad experience.
