Oh wow. Just don’t stay here. It’s not worth the cheaper price tag. I tried to leave the resort. They wouldn’t give me a refund. The toilets constantly broken-spending over an hour waiting every morning to make dinner reservations-lack of snack foods and lack of gluten free options. If you don’t wait an hour for a reservation-your only option is the buffet-which is VERY lacking.

Jul 29, 2025Do Not Book Premium Rooms - Will Get No Sleep
I honestly I have not had a good time at all. Our TV did not work and had a short in it. That caused it to shut on and off by itself and we had to completely take it out of the wall. We made a complaint to the front desk and they said they would move us (they didn’t). They also put us near the pool where people party all day and all night. All premium rooms are near the pool by the way, right next to the speakers. Additionally, the pool bar would play music early in the morning around 8 am, and way past dinner (when it was supposed to close) with extremely loud speakers and it’s so loud I can hear it through the wall, through my noise cancelling ear buds, into my ears. This hasn’t been a relaxing experience at all.

Jul 22, 2025A happy holiday that o would love to do again soon.
We stayed at the Allegro Playacar for 10 nights and had a wonderful experience with this hotel, the room was comfortable with a very comfortable bed and all you could ask for for comfort. The air conditioning was a little noisy but the bed so comfy soon fell asleep and didn’t wake us. The staff are so accommodating, cannot do enough for you. Hilario the head Barman next to the buffet restaurant was so friendly, remembering my name and making me so welcome. Plenty of variety for food with so much to choose from, and the food was delicious. Waiters and waitresses always on hand asking if we needed any drinks etc. Pools are clean and no problem with getting subbed. The only thing that made the holiday a little disappointing was the sargoza ) seaweed ) this was constantly being cleared, and to be fair not the hotels fault, just an act of nature and would apparently normally of gone by this time of year. All in all would highly recommend and would go back.

Family Vacation at Playa del Carmen
Since I arrived to the hotel I could see everything was neat, clean, and well organized. The foods and drinks were delicious, tasty, and varied. The staff gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home. The buffet, cleaning and other staff were friendly, respectful and ready to answer our inquiries or doubts.
