Totally Met Our Expectations
We have truly enjoyed our stays at the Allegro Cozumel. We’ve done two RCI exchanges here, and each visit has been a pleasure. The staff is exceptional, always going the extra mile to ensure you have a wonderful vacation. A special shout-out to Ian and his colleagues at the Occidental desk, along with Oman, Luis, Eristian, and Alfredo in the Santa Rose lounge. The cleaning and attendant staff also deserve recognition for their hard work. As an all-inclusive resort, Allegro Cozumel allows you to fully relax on the beach or by the pool without a care. If you're interested in day trips or excursions, the tour desk in the lobby is quite helpful, and there's a taxi depot conveniently across the street for quick cab arrangements. There might even be a small car rental spot there—I'm not entirely sure. Being avid SCUBA divers, we enjoy using their on-site provider, Pro Dive, for diving and unwinding. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and comfortable, featuring generous outdoor areas equipped with hammocks and seating. The lower-level rooms cater to smokers and guests with disabilities, with towel bars mounted on the patio walls since there are no railings. Daytime entertainment is vibrant and encourages guests to have fun, and kids will definitely enjoy the kiddie pool with its large waterslides and splash features. Each night concludes with a lively show in the outdoor theater. One downside we experienced was the noise, especially during evening shows and from guests in higher-up units. The walls and windows are a bit thin, and the design of the thatched roofs doesn’t help much. It’s manageable, but if you’re planning for an early tour, dive trip, or flight, don’t expect complete quiet at night—though things do settle down by around 11 PM. Like many all-inclusive resorts, the food is good but not outstanding, which seems to be the norm. The specialty restaurants—Mexican, Italian, and Asian—are nice, and reservations are generally available. However, we did notice a limited selection of vegetables and vegetarian options in the buffet's hot dishes. Most seemed to include meat or seafood, even in salads that could easily stand alone without them. Would we stay here again? Probably! I would be happy to return in the future, knowing what to expect.

Great experience
Mexico has always been at the top of our list but we had never been to Cozumel before and it did not disappoint. The wildlife, sea life, beaches, locals, food were phenomenal. The daily entertainment staff at Allegro- Arby, JD and Diego were engaging, inclusive and so much fun! They had genuine interest in your conversation, remembered your names and went above and beyond to ensure you were having a good time. The resort was beautiful, good layout. Room are clean, spacious but sound travels. Food at Allegro could be better but you will find something you like. We went to the carnival down town and it was such a site to see. The locals are friendly and we never felt unsafe. The food at Palmeras down town was outstanding and it was super easy to get a taxi to and from. Keep in mind this is a cruise ship stop and some days will be busier than others. We also went to Alberto’s down the road from the Allegro resort (20 minute walk) their food, drinks and view where great but the cover bad they had that night was the best I’ve ever herd. 10/10. Cozumel is our new favourite and we will definitely be back

Quiet, Peaceful, Poor Food
This is a small resort that never felt crowded. The room was smaller than expected, but well located with in the resort. Our expectations for the food were not high and we were still disappointed, especially by the restaurants. Restaurant reservations are limited (only 1 for a four night stay), even though they operate at 25% capacity. The food felt like the normal buffet food, but with table service for the entre. Would I go back? No. But we met a woman who has been coming for 20 years.
