  Fabulous Family Vacation

  We visited Allegro Cozumel for a family vacation the week of January 26, 2026. It was a fantastic experience for our group of ten, including 5 kids under the age of 13. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the food in the restaurants was always fresh and delicious with a variety of options. In particular, our experience at the Teppanyaki restaurant was an entertaining and memorable evening. Arbey, JD, Diego and the rest of the entertainment crew deserves special recognition for making our family feel welcome and running fun poolside activities. The evening entertainment was excellent, particularly the Prehispanic Show which was a fabulous exhibition of the Indigenous culture of Cozumel. Special shout-out again to Arbey for making bracelets for all our kids and treating us like family here at Allegro!

  Incredible Memories!

  This was our second trip to Allegro Cozumel and it was even better than the first! What a great resort - the beach is amazing, the staff are incredible, and the food is excellent, cold drinks and lots of great entertainment. The last night there was a Mayan stage show which was one the best performances of Mesoamerican Indigenous culture I have ever experienced. Lots of opportunities for excursions into town or to cultural sites and shopping on the island, and the Nexus Tours staff (thanks, Francisco!) will text you confirmation so you never have to worry about missing your transportation. Our trip was also made extra special by "my man" Arbey, who got us up dancing, popping balloons, shared his sense of humour, and greeted us every day with a smile and wave. He even made a special necklace for my daughter and bracelets for all the kids. You're the best, Arbey! We'll be back next year! Highly recommended for couples or families with kids. Incredible memories made once again.

  great hotel to stay at while diving

  This is a lovely hotel to stay at while diving in Cozumel. The rooms have individual patios with a hammock and coffee table. The room itself plenty spacious for one person, great for couples, but a bit tight if you're travelling with a friend (as there is only one sink, one place to put a suitcase, one closet - or maybe there are rooms with 2 beds and more closet space that I have not seen). I LOVED the very soft bed, soft pillows, substantial covers (nice blanket, not just sheets), the full blackout curtains, and great water pressure. My favorite part was the hammock on the terrace in front of the room. If it's a windy day, beach time is COLD in January, but you can always retreat passed the lunch hut, or even further back by the kids pool (which has it's own bar for thirsty parents - awesome!), which are both out of the wind. The food is very well seasoned. Not very many choices, but there is always rice, some kind of potatoes, meats and salads. If you're a foodie, this may not be your cup of tea, but whatever is there does not require extra seasoning (says me, subjectively). I did not go to the restaurants, only ate at the buffet. Great service. Very fast. Lovely staff. Indoors, and AC (yes!!!) Some of my orange vodka tastes like orange juice made from concentrate (at the pool bars, not at the bar by the restaurant, by the way). It's fine, you can just ask for more vodka or another juice. Pineapple juice I thought was good. Bartenders were very pleasant. The beach is lovely, soft sand, a water area to clean your feet on your way out. The water is calm, sandy all the way to the swim line, and ok for snorkeling. No coral or rock formations, but some fish and crabs do stray away from the ocean. The lifeguard has a functioning oxygen tank and some lifeguard supplies, which I found to be a pleasant surprise, as a medical person. For me, the hotel was delightful. I wasn't there to be spoiled. This was a sport-oriented vacation. I was there to dive 4 times a day, and 1/3 of the time I got benched because the port was closed (north winds apparently bring high waves by the time they get to the end of the island). When I could not dive, the hotel was a very pleasant and relaxing alternative. I cannot comment on the night shows because I was in bed by 8, but I saw the theatre while walking (it is outside, no cover, no AC).

  Great Time At Allegro Cozumel

  Our 3rd time, in a word AMAZING, Front Desk staff member Andrea, a lovely young lady who recognizes you and is very attentive to your needs. Dining, Natalie, Daisey and Ingrid, fantastic ladies we had so much fun!! Cannot forget Carlos, he is great very informative and a very hard worker. Danna, beach server OMG she is the best!! what a great gal and what a hot job You Go Danna !! Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, lots of hot water, lots of bottled water. Food was great, not a complaint, there is something for everyone. Bartenders, hats off to you.....busy busy busy with a smile. location outside of San Miguel, taxi ride in but if you don't care about that you will love it. there is also a great swimming area just for the littles in your family. check that out, they will love it, we heard lots of laughter from that area!! well worth the cost, great value for your dollar.   Fun experience and cheap!

  Diego is the best! Nice guy and very nice. The beach was wonderful, very fun activities, food was great, love the grilled food. Diego was the highlight of the stay
