Great relaxing vacation
Four of us visited the Alexandra resort for 6 nights. We were disappointed that the other resorts that made up Turks and Caicos Collection, Blue Haven and the Beach house were not reopened due to COVID -19. The Alexandra was a beautiful, clean and well run resort. Everyone was willing to assist and went over and above to make sure you enjoyed your vacation. There were 3 restaurants but only one opened each night. The menus were very good. There was no buffet but plenty of food ! The rooms were spacious, a suite with an ocean view, microwave fully stocked refrigerator and oven top. Housekeeping was terrific and brought you anything we needed There was Entertainment during the day and in the evening. The band Pozitive Vybratiionz was very entertaining and talented. (Rhyme, Romaine, Clive, Rafaelle, Milo and DJ Ding). Other people we wanted to recognize was the Bar staff, Farrah and Chidley, pool staff, Scott, restaurant staff, Theresa, Nicole and Renay , and Verona from the spa. We had a great time and would love to come back when it fully opens.
I just returned from a family vacation at Alexandra Resort and everything was amazing! Our trip was during the islands first week fully opened and the staff made us feel welcome and safe, they were all excited to have us back and we are already planning our return!
Above and Beyond Hospitality
Our first trip to Turks and Caicos happened to occur during the middle of a pandemic, and while many are learning to navigate this new normal, Alexandra Resort has it all figured out. The staff made sure all safety protocols were followed as we were greeted with branded masks and provided a plethora of hand sanitizer available at every table and restaurant entry. The respect they showed for the safety of others was truly impressive. We took this trip to celebrate a birthday, and the team took “surprise and delight” to a whole new level – After helping us coordinate a surprise visit to the Spa, Alluwanna set up a VIP dinner table with beautiful decorations, champagne and a special rendition of Happy Birthday from none other than the Pozitive Vybrationz. Management from Bianca and Milton was extraordinary from beginning to end. There are too many moments to recount, but one to note is that after learning of a dietary restriction in our group, Bianca was able to secure gluten-free options in less than 45 minutes. This is just one example of their effort to make sure all guests were cared for. During our time there, we took full advantage of all of the fun activities and entertainment. The resort provides free watersport equipment including paddleboards, snorkeling gear, tubing, etc. The beach-side team were all smiles and so helpful – shout out to Jimmy who made sure that we had everything we needed (and more) with top-notch service and great conversation. We can’t recommend Alexandra Resort enough, from the unmatched hospitality and friendly, energetic staff to the amazing views and crystal clear water, you won’t want to leave!
Best Entertainment Ever!!!!
Let me begin by saying we were the first to arrive at the Alexandra Resort after months of being closed due to the Corona virus. As we pulled into the resort, the entire staff greeted us with music, drinks, food and dancing! We were overwhelmed with excitement to finally be there after months of waiting for the island to open up again. The whole resort and staff took every measure to sanitize everything, and really put our safety as their highest priority. We cannot say enough about the entertainment!! Their band "Pozitive Vybrationz" was awesome! The whole group of "Fun Pals" were super hospitable and brought so much joy to our vacation! This was our first time in Turks & Caicos and we are already planning our next visit! You will not be disappointed!
Great resort, bad "policy" when it comes to refunds.
Room was fantastic, staff was very friendly and the beach was the best we've been to. Only two issues we had were that they absolutely would not give us a refund once Covid hit and we were required to get tested and purchase insurance before arriving. We never agreed to getting tested and buying insurance when we booked the trip. They should have refunded our money when requested. Also, we paid to have multiple restaurants to choose from with the all inclusive. Once we arrived, we were told the shuttle service was closed to the other resorts. So we basically had one restaurant to choose from. Again, not what we paid for.
