it's ok

Our plane was slightly delayed. When we arrived at the Sibonne, they were not expecting us until the next day. In another 15 minutes, the front desk would have closed until the next day. I guess we would have slept on the lounge chairs by the pool! You'd hate to think the maid could make or break your stay, but in this case she was so annoying. Even though there was an energy-saving request to hang towels if they didn't need to be replaced, housekeeping took all our towels and then brought back fresh ones about an hour later. *knock*knock*knock "I take towels." "no, only the bath mat" "I take towels" I actually hid from her one day! She was a very nice person, just annoying. We'd be towel-less until she brought them back! The restaurant is not hotel-owned so we had to have a credit card with us to get drinks there during the day. No big deal. The ocean water was much more choppy than usual, which one person told us was a once-every-20-year phenomenon. This is the first time we ever repeated a hotel stay because we loved it so much the first time 5 years ago. We don't need to go back again, but if it's offered at a great price, it's hard to turn down, and maybe the water would be gorgeous again!

The sunset is always good. Worth waiting thru the storm.

Beautiful and relaxing getaway

This is a very beautiful and relaxing place to stay on Gace Bay. I was looking for a place to enjoy the Grace Bay area that was quiet and somewhat secluded. This little hotel ended up being exactly what I was looking for. The views were phenomenal and many times throughout the day, I was the only one on the beach other than a few people who were walking along the shore. This is a "boutique" hotel. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and cool but don't expect them to be overly extravagant. My king-sized bed with soft sheets and plush comforter was more than enough to provide a good night's sleep. All of the rooms have a microwave and mini-fridge to keep a few small items cool. I would definitely recommend opting for one of the rooms on the second floor as the views from your balcony will be breathtaking. There are some convenient shops and restaurants within about a 20-minute walk from the hotel. Depending on whether you want to explore more of the island, you may want to rent a vehicle but it's definitely not necessary. Some of my best days there were simply relaxing around the hotel and grabbing a bite to eat at the Bay Bistro, which is located on the hotel grounds. I will definitely be staying at the Sibonne Hotel again. A big thank you to the hotel and wonderful staff who were extremely helpful and accomodating.

Sweet little quaint piece of paradise

I stayed at the Sibbone Hotel at TCI. From arriving at the airport, checking on to the Sibbone to my departure went off without a hitch. The first person I met on the Island was Dominica at the Sibbone hotel checkin, I just new from her welcoming, sweet and professional demeanor that my trip would be awesome, it was. The hotel is not a 5 star by 5 star standards, however it was 5 star to me. Clean, comfortable beds ( I stayed 2 days in Garden view and 3 days in Ocean view), loved both. Though the oldest hotel on the beach, the up keep is spot on. It is literally steps to the beautiful ocean which I counted 6 shades of turquoise. The pool is small but fitting to the hotel size, I enjoyed it. The Bistro restaurant and its crew were great and the food was amazing, every single meal. Cudos to the chef, I ate the best lobster ever. Went to Danny Buoys a few times for some good ole hot wings The best. Big fish island so dont expect to find two much typical island cuisine at the resorts, they dont raise chickens, goats, ox's or lambs there. You can get these things at selected restaurants outside the resorts. Cant wait to return. Thank you Cheap Caribbean awesome as always.
