I have mixed feelings about this resort. We went for a week in February with our kids, age 5 and 7. We stayed in a Villa. The Villa was lovely and our private pool was well-used. It was not heated, until I asked several times, and then it was a lovely temperature. The main pool was too cold, but there were lots of people in it. The waterslide pool was warmer, and the preferred club pool was perfect. While the villa was lovely, it got a lot of noise from construction next door. Also a lot of noise from several rooftop weddings at night. The showers were hot for maximum 5 minutes, then cold. Not what you would expect when you pay top dollar. The butler service was nice. The restaurants were average; the buffet was very good. Echoing other comments on here, the onion soup at Bourdeaux and the pad thai at the Asian restaurant were excellent. I had no worries about food preparation and I ate sushi and ceviche. As others have mentioned, the resort is showing a lot of signs of wear and tear. The beach is not nice but that is a regional problem. But the vibe here is a good one. The people work hard and are gracious. This place could really benefit from a proper cafe/coffee place. My latte milk was heated in a paper cup, which I found strange, and the espresso came out of a premixed jug. Don't advertise fancy coffees if you can't make them. I won't return, but that is less a criticism of this resort than of all-inclusives in general. I think this is as good an AI resort as any.

Great weather, rooms, food and pools!!!! IVAN took such good care of our party of 6 every day at the Buffett! Whether it was breakfast lunch or dinner…he was ready for us! He turned us onto virgin passion fruit mojito, SO GOOD & REFRESHING!!!

Excellent service & kids club
Our 2 kids (8 & 4) loved the kids club. The girls working there were so kind & there was so many excellent activities for them to do. The staff were excellent. Our 8 year old daughter is coeliac & the guys in the World Cafe, Omar & Jeremy were so good looking after her. They arranged gluten free pancakes every morning & GF fries & sweet corn at lunch time. Our daughter, & also us loved the GF Pad Thai in the Japanese restaurant. We ate in El Patio one night & it was delicious. Daniel our server was excellent & Enrique the chef was also excellent. They arranged GF tortillas for our daughter & she loved them. The hotel is a little bit dated but the service & food & activities make it a great place to go.

Beautiful Relaxing Resort, stunning sunrises and Great Restaurants.
This is a beautiful resort with very friendly staff. We celebrated my husbands birthday with friends and had dinner at the Teppanaki Table. It was fantastic. Bordeaux has the best French Onion soup I have ever had. Blue Water Grill has everything good, especially the Ribeye for dinner. Barefoot Grill by the pool is not good. Take the time for lunch at Blue water or the Buffet. I don't like buffets, but what I had was good. The Pools are cold, but warms up as the sun getting hotter. The rooftop pool is heated, but not refreshing on a hot day. Rooms are comfortable and good shower pressure with the rain showerhead. Only downfall is the entertainment, Crowded theatre room and had a smell.
