This was our second visit to this property. And we were not disappointed. We loved the cabanas and the attention we received there on the beach. The buffet was always excellent and changed every evening. Always found plenty to eat and drink. They are constantly cleaning and everything seemed shiny and spotless. We can’t wait to go back another time.

Highly recommend
We stayed at the 2 nights Marival for the first part of our trip as the Riu Vallarta was booked up, and 5 nights at the Riu Vallarta. About the Riu- it’s beautiful and clean. The people are happier. The rooms are nicer. The food is excellent with more options and better quality. The resort layout is better. The staff are friendlier (we tipped well at both regardless) and there are more staff at the Riu who seem to work very well as teams. Housekeeping is awesome. The beach is amazing. There are wayyyy more loungers and Pepe’s is a great extra option for food around the pools. The bars are well staffed and quick. Reception is very fast and friendly and you’re checked in quickly without having to wait for bracelets and a set up pitch for timeshare presentations. The entertainment is way better and the daily activities at and around the pool are plentiful and awesome. It just has a better vibe and more luxury than the Marival. The restaurants were all open and excellent-both food and service and the budget is huge and fantastic. We stayed at the Riu Palace last year and the Riu’s have the right balance of everything. There’s always something fun going on there while keeping it classy and family friendly. We’ve already booked a trip back for next year and trust their business practices and look forward to the experiences

For a family friendly resort the noise level was too high late into the night. The rooms are too close to the stages for performances and partying.

The hotel is very nice .couple of things we didn't like bathroom not enough of u had to walk a ways to get to one .my bed was to hard for me. The buffet food was good .
