Girls weekend

This was my first time using and everything went smoother than I expected! Paradisus was beautiful, quiet when needed and busy when looking for entertainment. We had a swim up room and it was totally worth the money because the pool is the best feature of the resort. The beach was beautiful however the seaweed was extensive but it’s a problem all over the Caribbean and there are excursions to take you to a more beautiful views. We were only there for 4 short days so it consisted of pool time and relaxing. The staff at Paradisus was so polite and friendly! We were talking about going back on the flight home! Looking forward to booking through cheap carribean again!

Our little slice of Heaven

We absolutely LOVED La Perla! I researched for weeks before finally booking this resort. I wanted to find somewhere with multiple quality dining options, fun pools and great service. We tried a different restaurant each night and were very impressed. We did struggle with service one evening at the Market, but I am going to assume it was just an off night and not a true reflection of their restaurant. There were quality food and drink options everywhere we went. We appreciated the variety of it all! The pools are wonderful! Both have a swim up bar that you never have to wait long at, friendly bartenders and EXCELLENT drinks. There is always someone around offering towels, service and asking if there is anything you need. We chose to book the ROYAL SERVICE for our stay and i promise you - IT IS A MUST. You get a personal butler who will answer any question you have within moments via text message, make all of your reservations for you, arrange transportation and customize your room with ease. We were very grateful for this level of personal service. With the Royal upgrade, you also get a private restaurant called La Palapa which ended up being our favorite. The breakfast and lunch there were hands down - the best!!!! It was NEVER busy, there was never a wait and always had the best service. There is also a private pool just for Royal Service guests, which was a little more quiet and relaxed than the other pool. We received complimentary turn down service each night, amazing room service and a really thorough cleaning staff every day - included! There are also fresh snacks and drinks available in the Royal Service tower all day long. Honestly - it was amazing. I would absolutely book this same service again in the future. We did a day trip to Cozumel while we were there and that was also an awesome experience! A cab from the hotel was about the price of one drink and the ferry little more than two starbucks coffees :) for a 40 minute trip to the Island. Definite MUST! This resort is also an adults only resort. Let me tell you how awesome that was!!!!!!!!! When dining at some of the restaurants however, you will run into families because the restaurants are shared with the sister resort La Esmerelda. It definitely reminded me how grateful we were to be at an adults only resort. The only negative thing I could say about the resort was that the beach was extremely disappointing. This really doesn't have anything to do with the resort, because after researching, this is just a common problem everywhere. The seaweed has made all the beaches rather unusable. The water is never safe to go in and the beaches are always lined with gross and stinky seaweed. We really did not care and it did not affect our stay at all, but we were not able to spend any time on the sand or dipping our toes in the ocean at the resorts private beach front property.Additionally, the "resort credit" listed when booking means absolutely nothing. It is not credit, it is a book of coupons for a few dollars off here and there of various things. We didn't use a single one and none of it was even remotely interesting. We had an amazing time and would recommend this resort to anyone. We never came across anyone our entire trip that wasn't kind, smiling and fun! Even browsing the streets in Cozumel or walking 5th Ave in Playa Del Carmen we felt 100% safe and encountered wonderful people! We can't wait to go back!

Beach Vacation

Do's: It is worth every $$ to add on the Royal Service to your package. Food is amazing Staff @ Royal Service pool including towel service, pool bar and wait staff. We had excellent service. Make sure you use your butler for small daily things such as having chilled champagne in your room to drink before dinner or mimosa's for breakfast on your terrace. We used the spa and it was great service and exceptional experience. Con's: No one told us about how bad the seaweed on the beach really was and we were unable to use the beach at all while we were there. The staff works hard all day to get it removed however, they did not tell us so we could decide what to do as this was picked because of the great beach area. I feel like the resort should have given some compensation for this as this was a downfall. Check out process is a little dated took a little too long as it is not completely digital and with Royal Service it should have been as quick as the check in process. It wasn't terrible just dated. Exceptional employees: Abisail our pool bartender took amazing care of us, he had our drinks ready for us to include water before we were even ready, Elias our towel gentleman worked so hard especially on the day it rained he changed out our towels often and he was only one on staff that day then the sun came out and we were well taken care of and Danarus in the Lapilada restaurant, she was amazing and fun to sit at her table each day. Took wonderful care of us and remembered what we loved to order every single time. Also, please TIP these people as they work hard to make your experience great!

Birthday vacation

When I first arrived, they greeted me with warm towels. I noticed that some were offered a drink upon arrival, but I wasn’t offered any. The resort itself is beautiful. Everyone for the most part was very friendly. My butler wasn’t as great as the reviews I read. My birthday was on April 9 and notified Butler. He acknowledged my birthday 3 days later. The room was nice, but not what I expected from reviews and photos I’ve seen. Other then that it was a beautiful resort.

What's to Love

Hanging with other beach-loving adults at this all-inclusive luxury resort.

Drinking deliciously yummy martinis at "M Bar." Cheers.

Unwinding from a relaxing day beachside. Dip in the Jacuzzi on your balcony if you want.

Upgrading room to Royal Service - luxury suites, private pool, Bali beds at the beach. So worth it.

Two full-time staff members that are dedicated to guests' experience, i.e., spoiling you rotten.

What We'd Change

Rooms are modern and comfortable but can seem dark. With all there is to do, you won't be in the room before dark anyway.

Why You Should Go

Once you land, you're just a short 45-minute from beachy bliss.

Lots of party-inspired classes - tequila tastings, wine tastings, tango lessons.

Zen-like activities, too. Pilates, stretching, meditation. Time to disconnect.

Booking time at YHI spa and melting into a massage, facial treatment or the plunge pool.

You can shimmy over to La Esmeralda. You've got access to their amenities.
