  Time to relax and rejuvenate for the new year.

  Stayed in the adults only section, just the right amount of fun, music and not crowded. The staff were great throughout the property no matter what they were doing. Daniel and Emmanuel our butlers were very responsive, had reservations for us as we needed, poolside chairs, and made our stay easy and stress free. Thanks

  An unforgettable family vacation thanks to incredible staff

  Our family of five stayed at Hard Rock Riviera Maya over the Christmas week, and overall we had an amazing vacation — truly made special by the outstanding staff and service. We traveled with our two adult daughters (ages 19 and 22) and our 9-year-old son, who has special needs and is non-verbal. Traveling can present unique challenges for our family, but from the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our son was comfortable and included. On our first day, Norma warmly welcomed us and took the time to listen to our concerns. She made sure staff throughout the resort were aware of our son’s needs, which immediately put us at ease. At Toro, we met Montserrat while waiting for dinner, and she was absolutely incredible. She wanted to ensure our son — and our entire family — had the best vacation possible. She even gave us her phone number so we could contact her if we needed anything. Her kindness, care, and genuine compassion made us feel like family. Alfredo at The Market was equally amazing. He always made sure we had a quiet place to eat so our son’s sensory needs could be met, allowing us to truly enjoy our meals together as a family. Pepe, our photographer, deserves special recognition as well. Taking photos of a child who doesn’t sit still is no easy task, but Pepe was patient, kind, and absolutely fantastic with our son. He captured beautiful, meaningful family photos that we will treasure forever. I am truly grateful to Pepe, Montserrat, and Alfredo — they turned our vacation into a dream come true. Every staff member we encountered was wonderful, and honestly, the service alone would bring us back. We also loved the pools and the lagoon beach. A big plus for our family was that none of the pools on the family side have deep ends, which made things feel safer. We never had an issue finding pool or beach loungers — even on Christmas Day, the busiest day, we were still able to find seating. The food was delicious! Our favorites were The Market buffet and Toro. The Market was especially stunning on Christmas Eve, with beautiful decorations and an impressive food selection. One small note: we did find the rooms a bit damp, but we managed, and it would not deter us from returning. Thank you, Hard Rock Riviera Maya, for helping make our family vacation one we will remember for a lifetime.

  The good and bad Hard Rock Riviera Maya

  Went to Hard Rock Riviera Maya during Christmas Break into New Years Eve. Overall had a very good time, but booking VIP status with a Butler is essential for attaining pool chairs and reservations for activities/dining with a large party. We traveled with 12. Without VIP status/butler get ready for terrible pool chairs or being separated from your group or waiting 1-2 hours to be seated to eat for dinner. We have traveled to other resorts with a large group and have not had this problem. The biggest complaint is the rooms. The rooms are small, drainage at sinks was slow, we were lucky our toilet flushed. We called maintenance numerous times for the toilet and nothing was fixed. Our tub that was never used backed up with water. We had 4 rooms and all 4 rooms had issues. Also, you must wear shoes/flip flops at all times in the room or your feet/socks will turn brown/black. The floors are dirty and you see the dirt. I found a hair ball from the party before us on the shower floor on day 1. The rooms are not clean on arrival. Another suggestion, if you can stay on the adult side of the hotel you should. I felt both the pool and the dining was at a higer caliber and it was less crowded. Adult pools still had entertainment, but not as rowdy. It was much easier getting chairs at the adult pools. Lines were also shorter or non existent when dining. Service quality was also better. I would also suggest renting a cabana on either side of the hotel, The cabana on the adult side had its own shower and bathroom which was a plus. The hotel had many positives. The entertainment was exceptional at the pools and in the evenings. The New Years Eve Party was fun. We had reserved a table, but I don’t think that was necessary. The spa was exceptional as well. The gym was adequate but crowded at times. I am not sure the air conditioning was working in the large gym area and some of the cardio equipment needed an upgrade. Overall, we had a great time, but to be honest I would not return for a few reasons. The rooms need renovations and upgrades, although there is a beach, it’s not a great one and seemed man made enclosed on hotel grounds (lagoon), and getting pool chairs is difficult. This alone is a big enough issue for me not to return. If I returned, I would only stay on the adult side and get VIP status.

  Amazing hotel. We loved the pool games including football and blackjack. Amazing experience with David, Christian. The entertainment staff was also unreal, hector, Braulio, lalo and kevin. We stayed here for New Year’s Eve going into 2026.

  Bartender was AMAZING!!

  Mukul was an amazing bartender at the Heaven Bar. Took very good care of all of us here for a wedding. He is totally a five star guy! Hotel is a four star based on a multitude of things.
