This resort is absolutely beautiful. The people that work here cannot do enough for you. Gesica the waitress at the colonial pool was fabulous and friendly. Filiberto, Jose, Daniel and Alfredo at colonial pool bar were fun and very friendly. Fern at the sports bar always had a great smile and always welcomed you. I hope these employees are recognized for all their hard work.

New Years Vacation

Overall, great time. We had a junior suite on the 1st floor of 48 building. Room was very clean but had a musty smell, not uncommon for a place with lots of moisture. Got used to it by the end of the week. Air conditioning was so so. Fridge wasn’t working but they fixed it right away. Room cleaning was excellent. We always returned to fresh, clean towels and fully stocked mini fridge. Room was overall above average, but not 5 star by any means. For the price, should’ve been fresher smelling. It was convenient to the the rest of the very large resort and the tram was always close by. Food. Ok. Nothing inedible but a buffet is a buffet is a buffet. Lots of choices for picky kids though and no one went hungry. The Brazilian and the Japanese cooking table were by far the best. We went to Poseidon and food was bland and mosquitos were ravenous. Skip it. Drinks. Plentiful. Bartenders were quick except for NY eve when the bars were greatly understaffed. Shows were good. Great dancing. Kids enjoyed them. People of Palladium staff were fun and engaging. Great vibe at the pool and beach. Photographers were good too. For a large resort, it was nice. Large resorts just aren’t my thing. We went to El CID last year and the size was much better. One tragic thing did occur. There was a drowning on the beach while we were there. The disturbing thing is that after it happened there was absolutely no mention of it to guests or on the internet that I can find. The gentleman was late 50s and had obviously been under water for some time. I and my father in law were part of the group that helped the lifeguards as we work in the medical community. The lifeguards did the best they could by the response time was slow for the resort doctor and EMS to arrive. The guy didn’t make it. This is no fault of the resorts but it serves as a reminder that you can’t let your guard down even in paradise as the quick emergency response time is not there even in well run resorts in Mexico.

Great experience

Great resort! It was our first time at a resort, we normally cruise. The service was great. A few people are hard to understand ( we speak English and most people speak Spanish) but they were very patient. The pools are super clean and drinks are very good. Food was delicious and lots to choose from. We stayed in the romance villa suite and it was very comfortable, right off the beach. They have trolleys that take you to your rooms or the other resort, we stay in kantenah. They had some activities during the day, I wish they had more! It was more of a relaxing resort, not too much partying ( you have to make your own party ) which we were hoping for more of. But if you are looking for a beautiful beach and relaxation, this is the spot for you. Colonial has more fun in their pool. Overall a great place for the price !

What's to Love

It's all-inclusive and all-aahmazing - a beachtastic wonderland.

All the restaurants are reservation-free. You can show up on your own schedule.

The Zentropia spa with Swedish massage & the cold bath "eco-meditative" treatment. Brace yourself.

Relaxing in the hammock area and booze snoozing it for an afternoon.

The food options - if you're gluten-free or have allergies they've got a special menu.

Hanging out at the turtle nesting area - you'll love these sweet little babies.

What We'd Change

Your legs might hurt after all the walking you'll do here, but the beautiful 300-acre property and all the perks that come with booking make it too good to pass up.

Why You Should Go

It's 50 miles south of Cancun airport. It's a drive, but when you arrive, you won't want to leave.

The grounds are massive, so you'll be hoofing it a lot, but there are shuttles to cart you around.

You get four resorts for the price of one - three other Grand Palladiums are a coconut's throw away.

Bring water shoes. Most of the beach is great, but it's rocky where you might want to snorkel.

Six tennis courts along with wave after wave of water sports like kayaking, water polo & more.
