This was my 1st all inclusive vacation I have ever took, it was a girls trip, I have to say I was very impressed, when we got there and they knew it was a get away from family and kids they upgraded us to a quieter part of the hotel which was nice, also I never felt unsafe security was great, our excursion they made sure we were wear we needed to be, yes the hotel was large but they made it for the most part pretty easy to get around! I would definitely go back we were there for 4 days and would really like to have more time to enjoy the resort, the food at the buffets were good and a huge variety, we did a spa day and they were great, truly have no complaints which is huge for me!!! One thing was they did screw up on our sailing excursion, however they reimburse us our money right away and we did something else parasailing And swimming with dolphins which was right on the resort and it was amazing!!!

Don’t come here if you hate the heat

There isn’t as much air conditioning in the common areas as you would hope for a hotel. It was hotter indoors than out at some points. Our AC went out the second night, they fixed immediately but the room smelled like mildew every night after. My mom who also had a room had the same issue, the mildew smell coming from the vents were horrible. Staff was very nice but be careful of everyone trying to sell u a timeshare. Trams are awesome but sometimes it’s hard to figure out where they are going and if a driver is going to get off soon he will leave you NEAR your destination and not at it. Won’t be using Bahia Principe again

Great place

We were upgraded no charge to Tulum closer to the beach. Beach practically in usable now due to seaweed but hotel workers were working daily to clean. Great place hope to visit again

Grand bahia principle coba

The resort itself is lovely..fairly clean..family oriented...staff is friendly and helpful. Housekeeping and waitress/waiter-staff work hard. The only thing that really bothered us during our stay was the constant soliciting from the resorts salepeople. They constantly ask you to view thier other sister resorts and the companies trying to sell excursions.. the buffett was just ok...not super great (kinda disappointed in the mexican food selections since we were in mexico). But overall i enjoyed most of the stay. Just be prepared to say no to soliciting alot

Tourism has been instrumental in driving the economic and social development of the region. In an effort to continue to preserve, conserve and beautify the destination, the Municipality of Solidaridad has implemented a small environmental levy on visitors effective September 1, 2017. Hotels will collect 20 Mexican pesos per room per day on check out; the proceeds will be deposited in an environmental trust to fund local projects. The Municipalidad of Solidaridad thanks you for your understanding and support of this worthwhile endeavor. Thank you and enjoy your visit.
