Everything exceeded our expectations. We will be back for sure. 40 year old couple who left the kids at home with grandma for a few days. The palace was amazing, great buffets, great ala carte restaurants. Most accommodating service you could ask for. 10/10

Excellent stay at a tremendous resort
We took our young teenagers and joined some friends and had an amazing trip. Great spot for excursions, or just to chill on the beach or by the pool.

Amazing family vacation at a gorgeous resort!
Barceló Maya is everything you would dream about! The resort is absolutely spotless, including guest rooms, and the staff is amazing. Our family would return to the resort in a heartbeat to enjoy the gorgeous weather and comfortable, relaxing amenities. Hopefully see you soon!

Went here on a family vacation with two young children ages 6 and 3.5. While the facility is nice and the service is great, there were a few things that other families with young children should be aware of before considering Barcelo. First, smoking is allowed pretty much anywhere except a few places like the restaurants, lobby area, and elevators. This means that it's highly likely your family will be exposed to the smell of cigarettes pretty often, even inside your room or balcony since smoking is allowed on the balcony. If you have a neighbor who smokes, you'll likely be smelling it more than you want. From what we experienced and saw, smoking and non-smoking rooms aren't separated. We've never experienced this at other resorts, and we've been to nearly ten before this trip. This was definitely not expected and will keep us from coming back again. Second, there is no poolside food service and room service is not included. Part of the all-inclusive fun is to enjoy some burgers, tacos, fries, and other unhealthy foods while sitting out in the sun between dips in the pool to cool yourself off. Unfortunately, you won't be able to enjoy that here. You'll need to dry off before going to the lunch buffets and eating everything there before heading back to the pool. Third, the complex is almost too big for a family with young kids to really enjoy the whole place. At other resorts, my wife and I would either order room service or one of us would grab some food at the late-night eatery once the kids are asleep. The problem here is that because the resort complex is so big, you'll need to walk 15+ minutes each way or ride the shuttle to go to the 24-hour buffet at Strikers if you're staying at the Maya Palace. For families with younger children, it might even be better to stay at the parts closer to the Mayan Mall and be closer to main part of the whole complex. While we still enjoyed the trip and had lots of fun, these are some things that we hope will inform other families before they make their decisions. For us, we will likely not return here nor recommend it to our friends with younger children for the reasons stated above.

Fantastic 10 day stay at the Barcelo Palace Quintana Roo
We had a fantastic vacation from November 4th to the 14th. It is always a pleasure to go to this resort we know very well. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet at night. We always eat very well in the buffets where the staff is amazing, providing the best service. The beach is beautiful and it is a pleasure to walk on the fine sand every day well maintained. My husband and I we enjoy sailing on catamarans and thanks to the great team at the nautical club, we did so from the first day to the last. It was marvelous! Many thanks to Yaremi, Carlos, Josue, Demian, Romeo and Manuel! It made our vacation really exciting! David et Rosa-Maria
