Old Beds lacking back support!!

This was a wonderful resort with the exception of the fact that we had asked for a King bed and were given two full size beds. We asked for them to provide the king size bed but they said they were not available. The beds were absolutely awful. Poor quality, sagging in the middle with no back support at all. Painful back each morning. However, the food was outstanding, the pool excellent and the staff were friendly.

Mexico All inclusive deal

The Sunscape Resort was very nice and quite the bargain! All the staff were very nice and friendly. The food was okay and the bar service was great. The room we had was okay. Just your average hotel room but clean and roomy. The hotel was a bit shabby inside. Bad paint jobs or needs to be touched up. Other than that, the only thing is trying to get away from the concierges hard sales for presentation. All in all, a very nice, relaxing time!

Incredible stay

This was a quick girls trip and we had a blast! So the pros of this resort: it’s small your not spending half of your time trying to figure out where everything is, the service is amazing, every staff member we engaged with were friendly and eager to help, even with a language barrier they worked hard to accommodate. The food was good, especially for a resort, there were always familiar options on every menu. It’s only a 15 min ride to and from the airport and downtown. The beach area here is perfect! Not to big not to small. I would recommend upgrading to the sunclub the lounge is a great way to get a snack and a cocktail. Also you get dibs on a section of the beach. The downside of this resort. The pool was ok, they pack lounge around it, so if you like laying right next to the pool(which I do) you will have to get to know your neighbors because they will be very close. I would like to see them create a sunclub or adults only section of the pool area. But this was minor and not a huge problem for use, but if you don’t like people, don’t plan on being at the pool. The restaurants were good, I wouldn’t recommend the buffet, but would the others dining options. There isn’t a lot of different place to eat on the resort, but downtown is so safe and cheap I wish we would’ve went there more often.

Another great experience at Sunscape!

This is the second time we have visited Sunscape & we were extremely pleased, just like the first time! One of the things we find most impressive is how clean the facility is kept. If you keep an eye out, you will notice that the employees are constantly working to keep things clean. They do not just do the obvious (like keeping the bathrooms clean & the rooms clean) but you will see them power washing the concrete early in the morning before people start to come to the pool area & in the hallways in the evenings wiping down the door facings & moldings. This is not the newest resort in PV, but they take extremely good care of it! We have never met an employee at Sunscape that was not willing to help get what we needed or answer a question. They are all extremely helpful & have great attitudes! Our favorite waiter this time was named "Dulce" - he made sure we always had a drink in our hand when we wanted one & that we always had plenty of water to stay hydrated while we lounged by the pool - we never had to get up from our comfy lounge chairs! I have visited another resort in PV but I would say this is my favorite for the reasons above but also because: - the beach at Sunscape is fantastic (plenty of room on the beach, not rocky, beautiful view) - the food is great (plenty of variety - we mostly eat at the buffet because we like trying lots of different options) - the shows are high quality (the shows at the other resort we went to were okay but nothing too impressive & were performed in an indoor, stuffy room - the shows at Sunscape are performed on the beach as long as the weather permits & they are good, quality shows) Sunscpae is a family-friendly resort so you will see lots of families with kids. Both times we've come to Sunscape, it was just the two of us (myself & my husband), there to just lay on the beach & enjoy some quiet time. Even though there are tons of kids & families, we've never felt like they were distracting or overwhelming. There is so much room for everyone that we never feel crowded or overrun by kids. We are considering bringing our kids back just because there are so many fun things for them to do. But I still think it's a great place for a mom/dad getaway as well! All in all, we have to say that we think this place is AMAZING & a GREAT deal! We will definitely be back again!

Another great experience at Sunscape! Another great experience at Sunscape!

What's to Love

Family-friendly check-in Hollywood style - red carpet stairs and yummy welcome treats.

Resort passports that send the kids on their own adventure.

With the Sierra Madres & Banderas Bay as the resort's backdrop, your selfies are going to break the Internet (hey, they might!)

Spa luxuries like a Chocolate Body Wrap or a blowout that will make your hair shine.

Golden sandy beaches where you can kayak, windsurf or kick back while the kids make sand castles.

The kids will love the waterslide at the pool!

The Marina Vallarta Golf Club is within walking distance to the resort. Hopefully you won't be yelling "Fore!" too much!

What We'd Change

Booking a Sun Club room would have given us a few more perks that we would've liked, especially room service at night. The kids were completely worn out from all the fun in the sun, and ordering in would have been a treat! Luckily, the restaurant let us take food to-go!

Why You Should Go

You'll have a drink in your hand in no time since it's only 10 minutes from the airport.

El Malecon is nearby with shops, restaurants/bars, art, & clowns performing tricks. (not the scary kind).

Surfs up at the Punta Mita surfing school where the whole family can take on the waves.

You can rent a boat and check out the famous Love Island at the Marietas.

Historical San Sebastian is a short drive away.

Swimming with the dolphins is a must and in the right season, the whale watching will blow your mind.
