3 star experience at best

Pros: - Beautiful views from pool. - Workers constantly cleaning and maintaining property - Service at beach bar was great Cons: - Incompetent front desk. Took an HOUR to check in even though we were first in line. They use outdated paper system to find all the reservations and couldn’t figure out what to do. No comps no apologies, AND missed dinner reservation window due to front desk incompetence. - Front desk promised to call back with dinner reservations and kept passing us around or hung up on us after the check in fiasco. Horrible customer service at the front. - Food takes FOREVER. Be prepared to spend a minimum of 2-3 hours at each place. Portions are tiny at some of the restaurants like La Palapa so just order more up front. - Pool is HOT like hotter than the 90 degree humid outside weather. - Bugs in room. - Definitely not worth the money.

Very good, but some things to be aware of

First off, this place is beautiful. The setting is great, and the staff goes to great lengths to make sure it is spotless at all times. The beach is very large, but understand that if you dont have very tough feet, you will NEED shoes. It's not fine sand, but more like coarse crushed coral. Kind of sharp. The beach is swimmable, but it gets deep very quickly. Not recommended for young swimmers or less-than-strong swimmers. It was great for me, but I would have been very nervous with little ones. Pool service was very good, but the pool chairs get taken up very quickly, and the staff does not remove towels from abandonedchairs, so you can never really tell what's empty, You'll need to be a little aggressive to claim chairs. The dining options were a mixed bag, with the top spot belonging to Mole (Mexican fusion, Raul is the go-to guy, he is so intuitive you'd think he had a hidden mic at your table). Bana (Japanese) was excellent as well, with very good sushi. Breakfast buffet is great if you are traveling with little ones, but is just standard for adults. Nothing special. The outdoor restaurant was just ok, and the heat made it not worth it. Best advice, make your reservations for dinner as soon as you get there, they fill up quickly. Now for the bad....when we checked into our room, we discovered blood on our comforter cover. Not a little bit, but a pretty good splash of it across about 4 feet of the comforter. Some had even hit the wall, and there were a few drops leading into the bathroom. I'm not talking crime scene blood, but it was clearly obvious. It really looked like maintenance or housekeeping had cut themselves while prepping our room and just hadn't cleaned up after themselves To their credit, the resort bent over backwards to make that right, replaced ALL bedding immediately, and hyper-cleaned the whole room. Still shouldn't have happened, but they made it right with us. All in all, if I return to Cabo I will probably try another resort, but I would not be opposed to staying here again.

Beautiful Resort but Improvements Needed

While the resort is beautiful and the staff is friendly, there are many areas of improvement for this facility to focus on. The first area that should be attended to is the food. The availability, variety and quality of the food needs attention and improvement. The number of bees at the facility is unreal. This is extremely concerning given that my husband is allergic to bees. We have been to other tropical areas (Hawaii - 4 times, Jamaica - 2 times, Cancun, St. Thomas) and have never before experienced such a swarm of bees! The activity information on the activity app was not accurate. In addition to the activities not accurately listed, more evening activities/entertainment is needed. The beach area is much to be desired. While there is plenty of sand area, the swimable area is comparable to a kiddie pool size.
