I would't choose this resort again.

I don't really have anything horrible to say about it, I just didn't love it. The layout was weird, the service wasn't fantastic, the food wasn't great... we spent a lot of our time off the resort to eat better food which in turn, cost more money. The location of it was good - right next to downtown - so that's a plus!

Expected More

I have stayed at the Breathless Resorts twice in Punta Cana which exceeded my expectations. I also paid extra for the VIP Exhale experience. However, because I had such an awesome experience at the Breathless Resorts in Punta Cana, I wanted to booked again in Los Cabos. Breathless is known for LIVE entertainment, great service, and food. I was disappointed at the Breathless in Los Cabos because I paid it Exhale VIP experience and did not get my money worth. All restaurants were closed early and there were no activities and entertainment on resort. The DJ stopped playing music around 7pm every day. I paid for all inclusive on the resort but there was absolutely nothing to do. We have to oay extra outside the resort to enjoy ourselves. I wished I knew it was going to be like that before I paid the extra money. I would not recommend paying for Exhale VIP because it’s not special just extra money wasted. Beautiful resort but NOTHING to do or entertaining.

A good quick stay

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Breathless Cabo. Cons: The resort has an odd layout. It is long and skinny with non resort shops & restaurants in between the buildings. It doesn't really feel like there is a center. There were some good activities such as the fitness class and the spin class but I would like more activities like a pool table, shuffle board etc. The beach. I wouldn't describe myself as a beach person but found the public beach area was very small and there weren't any water activities like paddle boarding. Pros: The view is incredible! We were in the least expensive room and our view was still exquisite. I could watch the marina for hours Room service: Can be ordered through an ipad, is fast with good service and great selections The ipad: Not just for room service! It had all the hotel info including day activities so very convenient. The room: I liked the minimalist style. There is a desk area behind the bed with seating and space to put all the suit cases so when in the main area the room still looks tidy. You can see the view from the bed, the couch, the 2 chairs by the bed or the chairs on the balcony so lots of options. We had the least expensive room and were right over a bar so there was very loud music and the Sunday night singer was pretty awful but then again you aren't supposed to be in your room at 11:00 pm on vacation, right? We laughed until midnight and then went to sleep. The bathroom: Yes the bathroom is part of the room but I liked it so much it gets its own section. It has three sections with toilet in its own section with door, main area with dual vanities and then a separate huge rain shower that might have been the nicest shower we've ever been in. Rooftop: We went dancing on the rooftop and the DJ was awesome. We danced for hours. The food: Overall very good. The only exception was the lobster bisque at Bites which wasn't a bisque and visible lobster or lobster flavor. We really liked Bites for pool side service during the day and also for dinner. The portions were very small and my husband usually ordered a couple of appetizers and two entrees. There was also a Mexican night buffet by the infinity pool that was very good and also nice to have a Mexican option. There is a Mexican restaurant onsite called Ocote but the price was seriously about $1000 a person for a 3 course meal (yes $1000). We didn't eat there. The buffet was smallish but the food was very good. Fitness class & spin class in pool were both great. I especially liked being able to work out in the pool. Pools - there are two infinity pools. We stayed at the "Infinity" pool more often because it was quitter, close to our room and right by Bites. First day we were in the pool around 11:00 am and we had it all to ourselves for about 30 minutes.

Another Great Breathless Resort

We spent 6 nights at Breathless Cabo and really enjoyed our stay. Keep in mind this resort is much smaller than the other Breathless Resorts and the lay out is a little different. It still has the party atmosphere that Breathless is known for but it is a scaled down version. But if you need the wild and crazy late night thing, the downtown/bar/restaurant/nightclub area of Cabo is only a few steps away. Very walk-able or an inexpensive taxi ride ($8). We stayed in an Xhale Club Marina view suite and could not have been happier with the room and view.Be sure to look for Poncho, the resident Sea Lion, who foloows the fishing boats . There are 2 pools, one the party pool and one a quiet pool. Both nice depending on what you are looking for that day. Pool wait staff was always around and there was very little waiting for drinks or food poolside. The 2 main bars (Wink Lobby Bar, and Rooftop Lounge) were also well staffed. Food was as suspected it would be. Typical all inclusive food. Certainly fine but if you are looking for gourmet 5 star dinning you may be a little disappointed. There are 4 restaurants open for dinner most nights and a buffet for breakfast and lunch only. Plus a really good BBQ stand with burgers steaks chicken etc for lunch around the pool most days. The food wait staff was very friendly but could at times be slow and not as attentive as we felt they could of been. Like having to ask for coffee, or water 3 or 4 times before they would refill or bring it. But certainly nothing that caused us to be too upset. The resort beach area is small but nice, not at all rocky or treacherous like some areas of Cabo can be. We saw lots of snorkeling going on. All in all I would say this is a great resort and will more than likely return for another vacation.

What's to Love

Ultra swank. Minimalist decor. Chic. It's a locale for adults-only, not excluding party animals, curious humans and beach vagabonds.

As of June 2018 you can bring your furry friend along!

The famous El Arco is just one small mile away. Serious photo opp.

It's front and center on El Medano, the safest swimming beach in Cabo.

Uber stylish suites (with a sweet pillow menu) boast either a private furnished balcony or terrace.

Rooms with breath-stealing views of the ocean or the marina.

The Bachelorette Party Package - the last fling before the ring. Boom.

Body-soothing bathrobe and slippers.

Pampering yourself with ambrosial Gilchrist & Soames bath products.

Tantalizing treatments such as a Jojoba Oil Salt Glow, Chocolate Body Wrap and Papaya & Pineapple Mani/Pedi. Muah.

What We'd Change

The resort is lively with lots of fun couples and singles, so if you're looking for a peaceful vacation, this might not be for you.

Why You Should Go

Just 45 minutes away from the airport. Your epic par-tay is waiting.

Upgrade to the xhale club, where you are treated like Hollywood stars - access to a private club along with afternoon hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, and more. Ooh la la.

There are seductive monthly shindigs like Play with a Hot Bunny and weekly par-tays like Anything Can Happen.

Brush up on a few basic Spanish words before going - gracias, de nada, donde esta el bano, for starters.

Doctor on call 24/7 - perfect for hypochondriacs.

Water sports galore: Kayaking, windsurfing, catamaran and paddle boating.

And there's more: basics of Djing/mixing and massage lessons (separate, not at the same time) and tequila tasting sessions.

For the more actively inclined: boot camp on the beach, water aerobics and yoga.

You can always run/walk on the beach, which is (of course) free.

Hotel Description

Breathless Cabo San Lucas: Beach, Drink, Dance. Repeat

Picture this: you partying on Cabo time with only adults, no meetings or conference calls. The only thing on your only agenda is having fun along with letting the teal waters where the Pacific meets the Caribbean hypnotize you. (It's not surprising Sammy Hagar opened a place here). You are torn about what to wear to the Dirty Dancing Night party. Do you go all-out Jennifer Gray or just stick to your always-stylish classics? Then you realize that your drink is empty. It's a crisis. But not one that will break you, as in the distance, you see a friendly beach servitor headed right for you. Everything is A-Okay, the A standing for awesome.

At Breathless, this isn't a fantasy. It's time to Live Big. Breathe Deep.
