A romantic weekend almost spoiled by indifference and bad wine.

Attention in general was very good. Friendly. Food in general was good. We had an excellent romantic dinner and Josue was a super excellent waiter. The spa was very good. Heidi at concierge was very good to work with. Thanks to her help we got the photographer from dreams named Rodrigo who also was excellent and professional. However the photographer of secrets named Ricardo was a total disaster. Not at all serious about his work. We met a concierge named Alexis who struggled with our request for a second umbrella and could only say “no, one per room” even though the hotel was 50 % occupancy. Very significant since this was all inclusive was the house wine. It was absolutely terrible. Merlot, cab sauv and white. It was acidic and spoiled. Vinegar. Three different days we tried their wine and in various restaurants. Disgusting! There was wine for purchase but was way overpriced. Double what you pay in Mexico City where we are from. We have been here before but never again. We won’t return and will let everyone know to stay away. There

    Feels like home

Feels Like Coming Home – Another Amazing Stay at Secrets Huatulco This was my second visit to Secrets Huatulco, and from the moment I arrived, I felt like I was being welcomed back as an old friend. The warmth and hospitality here are unmatched, and it’s clear the staff genuinely cares about creating a memorable experience. It was such a joy to reconnect with familiar faces from the entertainment team—Daniel, Ximena, Amir, Alejandra, and more. Their energy and kindness made each day even better than the last. I especially enjoyed archery sessions with Ximena and Alejandra—they made it fun and engaging, whether you were a beginner or more experienced. On the sports side, Daniel and Amir are an absolute force on the pickleball and volleyball courts. Their enthusiasm is infectious, and they know how to bring people together through fun and friendly competition. The bartending staff and wait staff are excellent. Secrets Huatulco continues to exceed my expectations. It’s the perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, and genuine connection. Already looking forward to my next visit!

We cannot wait to get back; I've been checking the Hyatt site every day since returning

My husband and I stayed at the resort for five nights during our honeymoon. We had such and wonderful and relaxing time that I was genuinely distressed when we had to leave for the next part of our journey in Mexico City, frantically checking the website to see if we could extend our stay! We didn't, but we WILL be back. The dining was excellent, especially the raw tuna at Oceana and the tlayudas at "Mexican Night." The pools were great, although many guests obnoxiously reserved loungers at the crack of dawn each day. The room was tranquil, the views were breathtaking, and the coati parade at dusk was one of the most memorable parts of our stay. Drinks were good and the entertainment team and staff really made us feel welcome. Special shout-outs to Daniel, Amir, Oscar, and Alejandro on the entertainment team and the servers Juventino, David, Angel, Ricardo, and Enrique. Carlos at the front desk also had a lot of patience with us when we got confused about a charge for wine. The only downside was that the beach was closed about half the time we were there, for safety reasons. We hope the ocean is safer next time as I'm looking forward to doing some paddle boarding next time!

    They don’t care at all

Cons: Food is terrible Alcohol is tampered Entertainment non existent Wifi, the worst ever Pros: The rooms are great The views and beach, awesome This was my first AMResort and the reason I have visited all secrets resorts and many dreams and now resorts. This was my third visit and last. Too bad we became sick due to bad food. tampered alcohol, food has become terrible. The pools were dirty, lack of service, I could go on listing the bad things. I prefer to go to Dreams Huatulco that even though it is an older hotel, they treat us as royalty and food and alcohol are top notch. Secrets Huatulco should close or allow all staff and management from Dreams Huatulco to take over. NEVER COMING BACK

    Awesome Anniversary Trip

This place was fantastic! The view from our room and the skybar made me stop and stare. The staff (heyyy Yael and Alejandro!!) made this trip so memorable. The spa was so relaxing, especially the hydrotherapy pool. Loveddddd kayaking on the ocean and my husband enjoyed all the volleyball. The rooms were clean and we had such a wonderful 20th anniversary trip! We’d love to come back.
