Beautiful Resort!
5/5 The resort was beautiful and clean. It has all the amenities to make our stay wonderful! The service was excellent! Abiguil made check in a breeze and got us into the perfect room for our family. Nayeli was our server at the pool and she went over and above to make us feel welcome! All of the staff was friendly and helpful.

Relaxing, zero complaints
Amazing service and friendliness throught the entire trip. My 3 kids especially enjoyed the fantastic activities team (specifically Tony Rodo Valeria) to keep everyone active and entertained. Will be back again!

Issues Spoil this Beautiful Resort
The hotel itself was quite beautiful, but it's hard to appreciate the initial beauty when your wrist key doesn't work four times!!! We had to go back and forth four times upon check in only to be told each time that our wrist key card was now fixed and working when it wasn't. Very frustrating to wait at your hotel door with all of your luggage after a long flight. Day one for the pool, I got up early to play the "chair game" where I claimed my pool loungers at 7am by placing personal clothing and bags on the loungers. Then we went for breakfast where we waited in line for 20 minutes before being seated even though many of the seats were empty. Apparently we took too long to eat because all of our belongings were gone when we returned (only a one hour absence grace period is allowed before your belongings are removed from the chair. They clearly don't take the long line ups for the breakfast into consideration). I did notice that the Elite members had grey towels and they were allowed to leave for several hours without consequence. Obviously a two tiered system. Overall the food was pretty good, especially the pool side menu but it was annoying to have to sign for every food/drink item where you had to either add an additional tip (even though is supposed to be included in the all inclusive) then write the total at the bottom. It felt like I was being shamed into double tipping. Regarding dinner options. The options were not bad (two required reservations and the other 3 didn't but you had to line up). If you tried to go for dinner later than 6pm you would be told there would be a 1.5 hour wait so we always lined up at 6pm. By 8:30pm my daughter and her friend were ready for dessert but they were turned away most of the time as dinner service was nearly completed and the servers didn't want to let them in. Forget about eating later. If you don't follow this schedule you will have a long wait. I had to wait 1.5 hours for a steak when we came late on our first night (yes after the key fiasco). So would I return? No...After all the issues with the lineups and getting sick for three days (and not being able to eat at all) I would probably look for a different hotel closer to town so I could experience all the wonderful city restaurants we had read about. Also we could then eat later and make a reservation (no reservations allowed at the buffet) but I did see people slipping the hostess money and getting seated immediately. Also the adult pool was not heated and freezing. Lastly, dinners were often priced at $4000-6000 pesos for 4 including starter salad, main course and 2 glasses of wine for 2 (ridculous for those not on the AI plan).

It is a very beautiful place. The opportunity to see whales was an opportunity to check off an item on my bucket list.
