  Fun party environment!

  Riu resort was very fun and enjoyable. Miguel was apart of the party staff and made everyday by the pool super fun. Would recommend this resort to anyone no matter the occasion!

  Amazing Experience!!!

  The trip has been absolutely amazing! The highlight of our trip has been Miguel the fitness instructor here. We have had the best time! From Aqua fitness to some 40 famous musicians to Magic Mike on the stage, it’s been amazing! We’ve been from Cancun to Port Morales to Playa to Cabo! This has been the funniest experience! ❤️

  BRILLIANT SERVICE ALL ROUND!!

  We had a lovely experience at this Hotel, despite a few problems with the room. Check in was quick and helpful. I was disappointed that we didn't have a pool/sea view room, but they did meet two of requests out of the 3. We were on the 7th floor and looked over the roof top of the next hotel and all you could hear was the sound of the ventilation units, so not quite the idyllic view we were hoping for, so we kept our balcony door closed most of the time. Unfortunately we had a few issues with the room, first night the fridge was constantly running so didn't get much sleep, reported next morning, a new fridge was installed without delay. The smell of the shower and sink drains and water never went away, used bottle water to clean our teeth. Although my Sisters Bathroom was fine, she was on the 4th floor. Toilet cistern top was also cracked, and had been repaired previously. The clothes dryer on the balcony was coming away from the wall, which was immediately fixed, however had to report again as was coming away again, again was dealt with quickly. The casing on the door lock internally came off twice showing the wires, again this was dealt with immediately. The electric socket by the balcony door came off the wall when we tried to charge our phone, again was dealt with promptly. One of the Bath Robes in the wardrobe was stained with either blood or chocolate and was never replaced. You may say why we didn't request to move rooms, yes normally we would, but we were just so tired from the long journey and adjusting to 5 hour difference to UK time. They had a coffee maker in the room, but no kettle. We had to ask for a kettle so we could make tea in the morning, but this was classed as an extra, luckily they had one available, but you did have to sign a form, for the kettle, as if you failed to return the kettle you would be charged 500 pesos!!! My Sister was not so lucky in getting a kettle, eventually after persisting with her request, after 5 days approx, one was obtained for her, but with the wrong plug on!!! Really think the Hotel needs to change and cater for us British who like a cup of tea in the morning and not coffee, and have plenty of kettles and not to have to sign your life away for the privilege of having a kettle in your room. My case my heavy enough without taking an old kettle home!!! Couldn't get the air conditioning to work, but this was due to the balcony door not closing properly and was again quickly sorted. So if you get room 757 not much should go wrong now as most problems were dealt with. I think the Reception Staff were excellent, got to know me quite well!! As per previous reviews the rooms definitely need updating especially the electrics, not enough sockets in the room. We slept well in the beds they were very comfortable even the pillows were comfy. Room was kept very clean, always given fresh towels every day. The real bonus for me was we were left plenty of water in the room every day, and if you needed more water or fancied a snack Lounge 24 had abundant supply of water bottles and food. The fridge was restocked every day so that kept my husband happy as he had a regular supply of beer. The optics in the room were a novelty and used most evenings. The food was excellent, we didn't try the themed restaurants as we enjoyed the good choice of food in the main buffet restaurant. Absolutely loved the Art Décor in the Bar and Reception, beautifully designed. The Staff were excellent with an excellent service. On the whole we had a lovely holiday, thanks to the all the Staff.

  A Perfect Getaway

  Spend our Christmas vacation at our favorite hotel in Cancun and it did not disappoint ! We were welcomed from Eddie to our room with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, now how can that not be the start of a wonderful vacation , THANK YOU The housekeeping was amazing with turndown service which really made it special. The Christmas Eve dinner at the buffet was spectacular; from , shrimps, lobster , octopus and caviar, all kinds of grilled meats to turkey with all the trimmings, salads to cheeses …never ending desserts and fruits . The staff at the buffet remember your drink choices and are extremely nice. We always enjoy the no reservations restaurants, Japanese. Krystal is amazing as well as the steakhouse. Excellent beachside drink service. The adults only ; perfect beach and center of hotel zone , this is the prime spot for an amazing relaxing stay you will not regret The reasons why this is our go-to-hotel.

  Best ever!!@

  We had the best experience at this hotel. The hospitality was amazing. The food at Krystal was the best food I've ever tasted. I highly recommend the the potato truffle and poached egg appetizer. Our waiter Eder was absolutely fantastic! This was the best experience I've had in cancun and we come twice a year.
