So so food

Breakfast is best food choice. Dinner options are hard to get different choices except for Enzo. All others are booked 48 hrs in advance. Few Food choices, tastes all the same. Fish nite last nite and there was a shrimp dish and one fish dish.that was it except for some meat dishes. Dessert table was way too small, always crowded, it was only food the kids would eat. Servers were all excellent, a lot of drinks were watered down, beer was always good.. Do not know if I will come back.

Gifted vacation

This vacation spot was a gift- I did not specifically chose this location. The experience was okay. Most of the restaurants were closed and food was only decent in one location. The restaurants have specific times and nothing is open 24/7 for the late night crowds looking for food. The resort is not couple friendly unless you get the royal service- which we did not have. Personally, I’d save your money and stay elsewhere.

I WILL NOT STAY AGAIN @ PARADISUS

We visited this resort in Nov. 2019 along with our kids (toddler & an infant). We went there with very high expectations, however, those expectations started shattering right at the check in. I will describe it later in this review. but the REAL TROUBLE we faced was at the time of check out. The person whose name was RAFAEL told us that he will get our luggage from our room to the lobby. However, even after 30 minutes, our luggage was not brought. Meanwhile, the transportation company was there to pick us up. He was not willing to wait more than 5 minutes as he had to pick up other passengers on the way to the airport. On this side, myself and my wife are shouting about our luggage (my toddler is crying ) but all the service personnel ignored us. Nobody was even ready to listen us. When we asked the person who checked us out (Rafael) he LIED on our face and said "I never said that". We had to beg to the driver to wait. Poor driver had to wait 25 minutes instead of 5 minutes (as per their policy) for out luggage to come. On the day of check in, We did not get the room that i had requested at the time of booking (King size bed). After a long fight with the receptionist finally assigned a room which had a king size bed. at the time of booking i had an option to select 2 queen size or single King size bed. Even though this option was available, i was told that it depends on availability. I am definitely not staying again at this resort. However, after all this i have something good to say about the resort as well. They maintain the resort very well. The essential oil aroma through the resort is just amazing and takes you away in a different world. The waiter service at the restaurants is awesome but management could be much better. Kids Zone activities are awesome.

NOT 5 Star...SCAM!!!

This whole experience feels like a scam. We did our research and chose Paradisus because it had highly reviewed restaurants but this was the worst all inclusive location that I have ever been to - that is not an exaggeration. The value for the cost is absolutely ridiculous and so disappointing that I feel like I have to report to the BBO. The website says the resort has 9 restaurants. There were 3 that were open (not including the little pool hut for burgers). Only two were open for lunch. We tried to get food at normal hours of the day and the one buffet that they had was closed...at 12:00pm!!!!! We went to the pool grill right after to get food...”no veggie burgers left”. There are NO options at this resort. Half of it was under renovation with no alert on the website. The “coffee bar” was a station with a coffee maker. The Gelataria was open maybe 40% of the time I walked by it. Also, they charge $5 for room service....food was awful. Mole, the one place we had to reserve for dinner had terrible food. We went to get sushi at 10:30....”sorry the chef ran out of food”. There are so so many more occasions that these issues happened that I can’t name them all. I complained to the concierge, the restaurant managers and the front desk...no resolution or compensation. I’ve been to Mexico three times in the last 4 years for a nice relaxing vacation and this is by far the biggest scam you will experience. Also, the resort is small... most other hotels have numerous pool locations, this had 2, 3 total - one separate for “Royal Club” which is also a scam because even the staff says the only difference is a pool bar called La Palapa. All in all it was a terrible resort...the food being the most egregious part. Whatever was open was not good. The service was unhelpful ...not all...but most of the service...specifically management. Lastly, we paid for a room upgrade and half the electricity in the bathroom did not work. The response from management...apologies for the inconvenience. I hated this resort and feel so taken advantage of. I have no idea why it is so highly rated. For reference, the other resorts which I’m comparing this to is Now Jade and Fiesta Condesa. Don’t be fooled. This is not 5 star in the slightest and I want my money back. The only plus of this resort is that you’ll lose weight due to the lack of good food.
