Great Service in Cancun
The accommodations and service were very good. Michelle was a superstar, she ran great activities especially water aerobics! Carlos at the teppanyaki was fantastic and Noe was also great! The resort was very family friendly.

I love the activities being organized by Diana and Michelle and the entertainment team were so talent and fun group.
The main pool was fantastic to do lots of activities. The service was amazing because of the staff who took care of me. Check in was incredible we got our room quicker with an upgrade and check out was so easy the staff brought our bags down. The view was great because it gave us a chance to see the ocean. The rooms was so clean and easy to ask questions and the hallways were so quiet. It made us feel like home and was very clean to the point of feeling good during the trip. The atmosphere was so cool. The location was stunning. The value was good.

Do not stay at dreams sands
Only thing that is remotely nice about this resort is the tiny patch of beach. Sand is clean and water is clear but very small area to sit and see the ocean. Otherwise horrible experience, we paid for 4 nights and left after one. Food is very poor quality (even though it was an all inclusive we were willing to leave property and pay for outside meals if we could not move hotels). Honestly we left early because we were not willing to eat French fries for 4 days and that was the only thing edible. Pics of rooms and hotel are deceiving, very run down and smells of sewage. Staff rude and unhelpful in the restaurants.

A huge disappointment, despite nice beach, good service and location. Old, “cheap” and smelly hotel.
We chose this hotel mainly because of the kids-friendly beach and pools and Kids Club 3+. We also stayed few times in Dreams in Tulum. I read the comments since months back and was aware that there will be some downsides but I thought “well, it just can’t be that bad”. Oh it was!! The hotel is old, it’s just falling apart and instead of investing in a good one time renovation, the management chooses to ignore the needs. It smells bad everywhere - chlorine by the pools, old frying oil by the restaurants, humidity in the rooms. The Buffet food is a 3 star hotel level, the queues to the restaurants in the evenings are around 40 min. Kids Club is a joke - a small room, which is also used as storage for entertainment decorations, has old and worn out toys and board games. God, how hard can it be to creat a nice, clean space filled with different stations? It’s just such a pity Hyatt management chooses a business model based on “old good fame” and presenting it as Luxury hotel, which is absurd - instead of actually creating one. Everything just feels cheap but it is far from it, price wise. The hotel has a big potential, good location, very nice beach, put a lot of effort into good service and entertainment, but fails at the core - to create overall pleasant, memorable customer experience, where guest feel safe, comfortable and get the experience they paid for. P.S. a note for hotel staff, please don’t do your typical “copy paste” comment that you will take into consideration the above info and pass it to the maintenance team as in the last past years not much seems to have changed, as per the comments that guests leave.

Great Family Resort
This is a lovely resort close to the airport with a beautiful beach. We had a Deluxe King Balcony Partial Ocean View - the view was probably only partial because of the trees but simply spectacular- ocean front to me. The resort is clean, food is good, and there are lots of activities to do. They do not take reservations for the ala carte restaurants so the wait was usually 30 mins. Bring a drink from the lobby bar and enjoy the view while you wait. We did not upgrade to Privilege- we travel 2-3 times a year to the Caribbean and never upgrade and we are never disappointed. This resort is very family friendly, and you will see a lot of littles around. The main pool was heated. Abraham was our server and drink specialist at the beach- he was always there just in time to keep my drinks filled and even got my raft blown up. (Bring a raft for the beach- the lagoon is amazing) My last morning he surprised me with an Expresso Martini- fantastic! The entertainment team was great! Lots to do and great smiles.
