Jan 20, 2026Travelers Beware: Bed Bugs
The crib provided by the hotel for my daughter had bed bugs. Photos clearly show this. We noticed the issue on our last day and informed staff at check-out, explaining that we would have her examined to confirm the bites we observed on her body. We were advised to submit a formal complaint to the chief concierge. I emailed the hotel with photos and videos but received no response. For privacy reasons, I am not posting photos of my daughter’s bites here, though they were shared with the hotel. Since returning home, we have spent countless hours sanitizing every single one of our belongings, and our suitcases remain quarantined to ensure we did not bring bed bugs back with us. This has been extremely stressful and time-consuming.

Jan 19, 2026Great stay, AMAZING service from ABRAHAM and LAURA
This was the perfect escape we were looking for. We travelled with 20 other friends and their families and this resort was the perfect size. The two highlights of this resort was the service (every staff member we interacted with was incredible) and the food. ABRAHAM and LAURA were two stand out staff members that ensured everything we needed or wanted was provided literally within minutes. The rooms are somewhat outdated but extremely clean. The pools were perfect, and the hot tub was drained and cleaned every evening. The beach was beautiful and walkable, perfect for all ages that were with us. I highly recommend this resort for families, couples, older travellers. It really does hit all the marks.

Love!
We just spent our third vacation here and just love it! The food and staff are amazing! A very special "thank you" to Gercon & Miseal (our "preferred beach" servers) for making our vacation as relaxing as possible!! They truly went above and beyond for us. We already have another reservation booked!

I have been to other dreams resorts...this one is really old. Small pools, can't find chairs outside. Don't buy into the hype of upgrades. The picture of the beach, not there. Was taken out by a storm last year. Was though, nice water once you got in, around the large rocks. Rooms are average, kept clean Buffet really small. Speciality restaurants were very good. Wait staff were really good.

Great staff, excellent service
We had an incredible experience at Dreams Sands. The service was quick and the staff was always looking at the small details. They had everything perfected. We loved the Explorers Club for our 4 year old son. He loved teacher Itzel who was so incredibly kind and welcoming. He never wanted to be picked up from the kids club because he was having so much fun! Great staff!
