Entertainment Staff!!
Resort was excellent! Very clean and manicured pools and landscaping! Loved having a variety of dining options throughout the venue as well! Spent a week there and never ran out of places to eat! The entertainment staff is absolutely the heart of the resort! They hosted several fun and engaging games for both kids and adults while building relationships with me and my family. Second day in the resort and they already knew us by name! So awesome! Shout out to Richardo, Toni, Memo, Felix, and Carlos for making the trip so special for us!

Wonderful Family Vacation!!!!
We took a joint family vacation June 18-24, 4 adults and 3 kids (8,9,11). We arrived in Cancun at 9:30am and at the hotel around 10:45am. We were welcomed warmly with welcome drinks for all and taken to the Preferred Lounge to check-in. Check in was rather quick, as no one else was checking in at that time. We booked two regular rooms, gardenview and partial oceanview. As UVC members, both rooms were upgraded to Preferred Oceanview in building 7, 7310 and 7410. We were told we would be contacted once the rooms were ready. By 1:15, our rooms were ready and someone met us at the lounge again to take us to the rooms. Rooms were nice and clean, welcome bottles of champagne, and cookies. The grounds are large and we did a good bit of walking. There are so many pools that it would be difficult to not find a place to lounge!! We tried all the pools on different days and enjoyed the infinity pool with the entertainment staff the best. We did do the beach twice but did not stay long, as there was enough seaweed to deter us. We didn't love locations of the beach cabanas either, and the beach chairs were kind of set up like sardines, but we didn't mind that much as we only stayed for a little while. The cabanas around the pool could also be obtained if you went out about 7am to get one. We did this one day and did not find it necessary to have a cabana, as we like to be near the action. Drinks and service everywhere was fantastic. We enjoyed the preferred lounge drinks the best, and the bartenders there were always happy to be heavy handed with the pours in our stanleys. We enjoyed plenty of espresso martini's, 1800 and Don Julio. Snacks in the lounge were always good as well. Food was great in most restaurants. We really enjoyed Maris for Breakfast and Asian for dinner (did this twice). The hibachi was also good, as was the French. The buffet was good but always very busy. The room service had Flank Steak that was PHENOMONAL, better than the steak anywhere else. My son ordered this every single day for dinner. We did enjoy the lazy river on several occasions and didn't quite understand all the negative reviews. It was not super slow as many other reviewers have stated and it was never dead but never too busy. The two slides were fun for both the kids and adults. We missed a lot of the shows because by that time, and dinner, kids were exhausted. The couple we went to were very good. Silent party would have been way more fun if done outside and not the theater. I was most looking forward to Salsa night with an advertised Salsa band and was VERY disappointed to know that this was changed last minute to a different band, which was not entertaining at all. We only snuck in the night club one time and probably would have enjoyed it if we didn't have kids with us. All in all, this was a fantastic resort with great employees. It was very clean and our rooms were serviced twice per day. Our bar was only restocked twice but I am sure if we had asked, it wouldn't have been a problem. For excursions, we did the Dophin encounter and would not do it again here with kids. The waves made it less enjoyable and hard to stay upright. We preferred the dolphin experience at the Aquarium. We also did the Catamaran through Amstar and next time would book a private tour. It was too many people, my son got a lifejacket that was WAY too small and it was all around chaotic. Neither excursion was a direct reflection of the resort.
