Best state ever!

My husband I traveled to the Sunset at the palms for our 4th anniversary and it has been the best stay ever. The customer service, food, hospitality and other guests were awesome. The private super clean beach had to be our favorite part. It was both of our 1st time in Jamaica, we have been to other caribbeans islands but after staying in Jamaica at the Sunset at the Palms, we decided we want to make this an annual trip. I can be a picky eater however the food at this hotel has been the best food, at an all inclusive resort I have experience even if you don't have a chance to make it to one of the specialty restaurants the buffet food is all 5 stars. I even enjoyed the late night entertainment that was provided the bartenders go above and beyond in making sure you get what you want. I enjoyed that the hotel was an adult only resort the rooms were beautiful, very cozy for just you and the other person, i really enjoyed that the shower water stayed hot long enough for me and my husband to shower including washing our hair. The Plams include ClubMobay, you will be grateful for that! If I could rate more than 5 stars I would. I recommend this hotel to my family and friends! I will definitely be staying here again!

Best state ever!

First All-Inclusive Trip

Where do I start? As someone who has many stamps in her passport book, I can say I had no idea what to expect at a) an all-inclusive resort, and b) traveling to the Caribbean. Going into this trip, I had some nerves (new country, culture, customs, etc) but I cannot believe how incredible our experience was. Sunset at the Palms was absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious, especially the beach side grill- awesome items to choose from and right there on the beach! SATP security officer, Loretta, is your girl - she'll do anything to keep you happy, smiling, and was a pleasure to get to know. I think what was so unique was that the resort was even better than the pictures - sometimes you can't be sure if paradise can be that perfect looking, but let me assure you, it's even better. The tree house style accommodations were so fun, it made me feel like a kid again. The wrap around porch with day bed and hammock was home to many afternoon naps listening to the rain hit the leaves. Each tree house unit has its own air conditioning unit so sleeping was comfortable and cozy. The bathroom was spacious, room to hang your belongings, and an in-room safe for those that need it. Loleta at the customer service desk was SO accommodating, especially ahead of time prior to arrival and setting up our excursions to make it as easy, and painless as could be! We did make reservations for Lotus Restaurant one evening and I highly recommend it - the dishes of the evening were out of this world. We also purchased the Romance at Sunset package and I CANNOT recommend this enough for the ultimate relaxation. We received an hour long couples massage in the outside cabana, a private candle lit dinner in a secluded setting, breakfast in bed one morning, and a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries upon arrival - it was literally the epitome of pure relaxation and indulgence. It rained/stormed every single day and I didn't even care. This place was paradise. The only con that we experienced in our 6 day/5 night trip was the mosquito's - they were in full force, and we did not think to come prepared with repellent - which the resort does mist/spray for on a regular basis. My advice: this place is certainly not "primitive" by any means, but it does involve being surrounded by nature in a tranquil setting, and doesn't come with all the bells & whistles of resort nightclubs, and party crowds. SATP prides itself on its "sensory filled magic" that focuses on relaxation, adults-only, quiet, one with nature experience. So if you're looking for rowdy, steer clear of this gem. Book today, I promise you will not be disappointed. We cannot wait to return!

Love Sunset at the Palms

We were there to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Sunset at the Palms was a great get away. The treehouse rooms added a special feeling to the entire week. It was like we had our own little piece of paradise. Staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Every morning started with a jiggy coffee. Brandi makes them the best! We used the gym everyday also. Though salad bar could use a bit more selection, it was always stocked with fresh ingredients. The fish tacos down at the beach bar are delish! Not particularly impressed with Lotus Leaf, but the Chef's dinner was great. The buffet was always great. Remember folks, this isn't a buffet in the US, so don't be suprised by all the local selections. The resort does a great job of showcasing regional food at every meal. Loved it!

SnoozeFest 2018

I stayed June29-July3 2018 with my husband. I didn't do my usual due diligence investigating the reviews. The resort is beautiful with lots of foliage. The room/cabin was clean and WIFI is offered throughout the resort and beach area. CONS: TV is very small - no in-room liquor - food is served on a strict schedule, no food options on the resort during multiple hours - extremely quiet 7am-9pm, no music at the swim up bar - same "entertainment" each night, live band playing to no more than 8 ppl each night - for things to do, you HAVE to leave the resort and pay extra - gift shop closed at 5pm - lizards and ants everywhere including in my room - walk across the street to the beach AND the beach was off limits after 7pm! PROS: the beach is clean, not overcrowded - Jerk stand on the beach for food between 11 -6pm, food was great - lobster man was right next door ready to cook up a live sea creature for $25-40 (worth it) - no kids - staff were friendly; except 1 young lady at the front desk - room was quiet, balcony was nice My expectation is that if I stay at an all inclusive resort, I want to have access to everything round the clock or at least to 1am. This resort seems like it's only for ppl who want to relax, meditate, NO partying NO pool side games :( I made the most of my stay, but I feel I overpaid for what I received at Sunset at the Palms
