Jamaica has blown me away 🫶
This holiday has been the most incredible experience, and a big majority of this is down to the people at the RIU Negril. Everyone is polite, hard working, and do what they can to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. From check in to check out, we have smiled from start to finish. The location is sensational, rooms are superb, we upgraded on arrival to a sea view overlooking Bobs beach bar, stunning view every morning. Pools are great, although we spent most of our time on the beach, buy a snorkel as the sea is full of life, I even managed an encounter with a nurse shark amongst many other fish. I found the food to be great, Mandalay was really nice and no booking needed, didn’t manage to get into the other 2 restaurants but never felt lost for choice, the main buffet restaurant was very well stocked with lots of really nice food every day, the BBQ was great, tacos and Jerk Chicken are the best! Sports bar is a great atmosphere, food in here isn’t that good but it’s great for a few drinks and a game of pool, staff in here were lovely. The entertainment is great, wether on the beach, at the pool or in the evening, always something for everyone and it’s made even better with the entertainment team, who really are the life and soul of the party, and damn they can dance 💃! Few tips: Take a flask for water, the bar staff will gladly fill with beer or pop, and you’ll find iced drinking water at all the bars. I tipped in US dollars, and the value ranged from $1 to $5 per tip randomly throughout the holiday. We did leave a good tip for the cleaners who left our room absolutely spotless every day, and the room mini bar service who kept us topped up with our preferred options. USE FACTOR 50 sun cream if you’re not generally a sun worshipper, I dropped to a factor 30 for one day and got away lightly thanks to pure Allo. Book Club Mobay at the airport, it will save you a good hour and half getting through security. Private transfer also got us to the hotel a good 3hrs before the package holiday coach. We used Dowie Tours, he was great. He also organised our boat trip to Ricks Cafe, definitely recommended which included reef snorkel and cave swimming on route, this was incredible. Smiles, fun, laughter, excitement, great food, drinks, sunshine, clear sea, it has it all and I’ve got a thirst for more! We can’t wait to return in 2026, Jamaica and the RIU Negril has blown me away. Thanks for an awesome holiday 🫶🇯🇲

Experience 9/10
A few names that helped me and my husband have a golden experience. Monique and Tafari from the front desk were very helpful and knowledgeable about their property. It was always a pleasure conversating with them. O'Neil and Ruien from Jammin bar they are full of life they always had good conversation and laughter for me and my husband before and after dinner. They are also very attentive. My hand was never empty, and I never was thirsty, lol. Chad and Martin from restaurants they were the go-to guys. They are fast, professional, and very seasoned in their restaurants. Especially Martin, he works well under pressure and always remains professional he controls his environment. But our MVP of it all was Demoy!!!!!!!!!! He had great knowledge and awareness of the property. He was very pleasant and attentive every morning when we had breakfast and every day we had lunch. He remembered what we liked from day one and never had to tell him ever since. He is most definitely the definition of hospitality!!!! There are a few things that were disappointing for us, but it didn't ruin our vacation. 1). There were no elevators in the villas, and we were on the top floor. However, the bellmens are very helpful and willing to assist. 2). The restaurant Kulinarium was very accommodating with the last-minute reservation. However, it was disappointing the food was very cold and also not seasoned. The menu items also did not pair well with one another. However, the Steak House, The Seagull, and The Green Island buffet were our favorite restaurants 3). The 24hr Sporting bar was my go to hang out spot it is air conditioning plus it has pool tables and amazing French fries but very disappointing Buffalo wings was on the menu but our entire stay they didn't have any. After a few drinks, fries and wings hit the spot. They do have a great veggie burger, though. 4). No spicy food options. Coming to a Caribbean island, especially Jamaica, we were looking forward to more spicy options

A little piece of paradise
What a fabulous time we had, a little piece of paradise. The food, drinks, room and staff all amazing. All the restaurants are great lovely food, lots of choice and the staff were very efficient and polite. The only very small complaint was the room was sometimes cleaned a little late and some ignorant guests smoked in their room and the alarm went off. The entertainment staff were full of energy and interacted with all the guests during the day and on an evening. If the entertainment wasn't for us we just went to the bar in reception or back to our room, which was very comfortable. We went on 2 trips one to the Blue Mountains and Bob Marleys house it was a long day but we thoroughly enjoyed it. And river rafting which was a great experience. The quiet pool was just next to our room in block 2 and was exactly that quiet. Loads of sunbeds, the water was warm and Bob's bar a couple of minutes walk away. We loved it and will definitely be back.

Return to this hotel after 14 years
We first went to this hotel 14 years ago we tried to book it last year, but the hotel was undergoing a refurbishment, so we ended up booking the palace next door so this year we managed to book back here. On arrival, We managed to book a swim up room I must say the person we dealt with at the reception was brilliant. It was a young man. Can’t remember his name the room we booked was 2018 in block two the room itself was very nice. The only complaint we had was the room was cleaned very late in the day between 330 and four we would come back to the room after spending the day on the beach. and all you want to do is get a shower but we had to wait for housekeeping to come with fresh towels we did on a few occasions tell her to leave the room and just and just took the fresh towels. We found that if you left the shower till later there would be no hot water so we liked to have a shower about 4 pm. Think this must be a bit of an issue with the water on speaking to a few other people in the block said the same. Food. We have stayed in lots of RIU hotels over the years, the buffet restaurant you can always find something you like we used the steakhouse restaurant twice while We was there that was nice. Bars. We only used two bars when we was there one in reception and the sports bar the bar staff were brilliant. I will post a picture of the staff they are Credit to the hotel they really made our holiday with laughing and joking. Staff. Wherever you go, you get a good staff and they bad staff. Sunbeds. One thing I liked is the amount of sunbeds there was on the beach and around the pools so there was no need to get up early to get one. Overall this was a brilliant holiday I would even go to say it’s better than the palace down the road which you pay more for. I will definitely recommend this hotel to people. This was really enjoyable. Return to this hotel.

Wonderful stay
Just returned from 2 weeks here. Was a fab resort , food was excellent , staff were friendly , pools clean and rooms cleaned everyday to a high standard. Locals on the beach friendly and respectful. Fabulous seaside for snorkelling. Only couple of downers were, room smelt very damp on arrival , but there was no damp anywhere. The Italian restaurant is advertised as a la carte but it was definitely not . One lifeguard was particularly rude a couple of times. Tui reps were wonderful. Would stay again if fancied a nice all inclusive break for relaxing and snorkelling.
