Great Hotel
This is a great Hotel! The vibe is amazing, its high energy but not over the top. The night time entertaiment area is huge with two stages, 24 hr sports bar with a full menu is fanatstci. Ony this thing we didnt like was how hard it was to book a resevation - we only had one a la carte the whole week. Management needs to ensure all guests have access to at least three of these - they should be booked upon check in.

Best RIU so far!!!!
This place was hands down the best RIU I’ve ever been to, between the swim out room, the entertainment staff and the food, this place was amazing. The steakhouse made the most amazing cheeseburger with Brie that was simply mouthwatering. The neon party had something for everyone and didn’t disappoint. The entertainment staff was always on 10 despite the long hours they work. The beach party is also not to be missed. I thought I was giving up something staying at a resort without room service, but this place is lively, clean, and always jumping. Definitely will send clients and revisit myself.

The staff makes this place incredible!
We highly enjoyed our stay at this location! We were first met by the wonderful "bellhop" Chad, who had and incredible personality and was super helpful - a great way to start the trip! The entertainment team of Shackile, Quwayne (Cuban), Oshin (Shin Shin), Gail (GG), Bryan and Shadow each day by the pool and every night in the theater was unmatched with any other vacation we've been on. The amount of work, energy and skill these people put in is unbelievable. The pools were always clean (thanks in large part to Javel the wonderful lifegaurd). The pool bar staff (Raheim and Tyrese) were super. The rooms were well taken care of and very nice. The food was decent, not outstanding but definitely better than most. We even fit in a wonderful couples massage at the spa - so relaxing! We look forward to coming back again soon.

DoNOT stay at any RIU hotel!!! They are liars and crooks!!!
I booked a stay at RIU Negril, the booking comes with a free transfer from the airport, unfortunately I had to slightly modify my travel plans because of work and would be arriving a few days earlier than expected! All I wanted was confirmation of my FREE transfer! So I contacted RIU directly and was literally treated like garbage! The refused to guarantee my FREE transfer! They literally told me that they don’t care about me! Don’t care about my family! Don’t care for me to stay with them! They told me directly that they don’t Want my business and urged me to cancel all because I want confirmation of Transfer! I reviewed their policies on the transfer and found zero information about not guaranteeing my transfer! They keep me on hold for over an hour! Hung up on me twice and had two managers essentially tell me F off!!! Unbelievable!!! I planned this family vacation for my daughter and now we can’t go because of RIU’s lies and disrespect!!! I had to cancel because I refused to pay money to treated like trash!!! Times are tough and money is tight but I still scraped together enough for this special family vacation!!! Why would RIU lie and treat me like garbage???? Whatever you do? Unequivocally DO NOT stay at any RIU hotel! They are liars, scammers and cheats!! Ruined my family vacation bethel refused to guarantee my transfer fro the airport to the Hotel!!! Who in their right minds would travel to a 3rd world country that is under travel advisory by the US government with their family and have ZERO guaranteed of a transfer to the hotel???

Just ok… was expecting a better experience
Good afternoon, I am writing to share feedback regarding my recent three-night stay from February 13 through February 16 at your resort. First, I would like to commend your staff, who were extremely courteous and helpful throughout our visit. Our room was ready upon arrival, which we greatly appreciated. However, there were several concerns that impacted our overall experience. Housekeeping service was inconsistent. We requested additional pillows but did not receive them until our last night, and only one was delivered after multiple calls. We also discovered blood on the sheets that same evening. In addition, we had to repeatedly request extra towels, and housekeeping only visited our room once during the three-night stay. Another concerning issue was that staff members entered the room without knocking on multiple occasions. This was unexpected and uncomfortable, as standard hotel practice is to knock and wait for a response before entering. Additionally, although checkout is listed as 12:00 PM, someone knocked on our door before 9:00 AM on the day of departure to ask if we were leaving. I found this to be extremely inappropriate and disruptive, especially given that we were well within the stated checkout time. We also experienced difficulties with recreational equipment. The process for using kayaks and sailboats was disorganized and confusing, with long lines and no clear system. Guests were unsure of their place in line, which led to frustration and arguments. For a resort of your size, there did not appear to be enough equipment available. Despite waiting several times during our stay, we were only able to use the kayaks once because everything was consistently checked out. Making reservations for specialty restaurants was also challenging. We were only able to secure a reservation at the steakhouse on our last night. We could not initially get a reservation at Luigi’s, yet when we walked over, the restaurant was approximately 75% empty. After waiting 15–20 minutes, we were seated, and many tables remained unoccupied throughout our meal. This made it unclear why reservations were so difficult to obtain when seating was visibly available. Finally, it was discouraging to see that guests were allowed to reserve pool and beach lounge chairs by placing towels on them and leaving for extended periods. This occurred daily, both by the pool near our room and at the beachfront. Many of the best shaded or oceanfront seats remained unused for long stretches while still being “held.” Most resorts enforce time limits and remove unattended belongings after a period, and implementing a similar policy would make access fairer for all guests. This was my first stay at an RUI resort, and unfortunately, these issues affected my impression. I hope you will consider addressing them to improve future guest experiences. Thank you for your time and attention.
