What We Love
- Fancy duds throughout the resort that create that stylish level of lavishness you want.
- A private beach where the views are endless and the beach bartender already knows your name and your favorite cocktail.
- You can keep your beach bod looking svelte with a session or two with one of the on-site trainers at the fitness center.
- Traveling with the fam? Perfect, because Kids & Co. will take care of the young tykes - they want to have a little fun time, too.
- Vegging out at the spa with a beachside massage - leaving the beach would require too much effort - remember it's your vacay!
Things to Know
- The resort is away from the hustle and bustle of Montego Bay - you're drive is about 45 minutes from the airport and oh, so worth it once you arrive.
- The Adventure Park has all kinds of fun activities - zip lining, rock climbing & trampolines.
- You're close to some of Jamaica's favorite spots to see - Green Grotto Caves, Luminous Lagoon, Dunn's River Falls and Dolphin Cove & you'll find an excursion desk on-site to help you plan all your adventures.
- On those nights when you'd rather enjoy dinner on your balcony (and in your jammies) then 24-hour room service will be your thang.

A welcoming slice of heaven
This was my fist visit to Cuba and my first visit to a resort of any kind and we enjoyed it so much we are already planning on returning next year. If you are looking for a relaxing retreat away from a highly commercialized area with friendly staff and excellent food, this is the place for you. The food is excellent in both the buffet and the a la carte restaurants and even a slightly fussy eater like me found plenty to eat every day. The coffee at the lobby bar is excellent and since they are open 24 hours a day, even early risers like me can get a fresh cup when they wake up. We had breakfast at both the buffet and the a la carte restaurant and both were excellent, but I would recommend the buffet, as the chef at the omlette station is a master of his craft! The rooms are clean and quiet, he beds are very comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. The beach is short and the wind was blowing in a fair bit of seaweed when were were there, but the water was bath tub warm and my partner saw an incredible number of fish while snorkling. The resort gym was surprisingly well equipped and the yoga instructor did a gret job of leading relaxing classes. What makes this resort really shine though is the people. The staff are so friendly and welcoming I felt like I was coming home. Great beaches and excellend food aside, I think the people are a good part of what keeps people coming back to this resort again and again. On our visit we met someone who was there for the 99th time! That, and the comments on the resort guest facebook page provide clear evidence of how great the staff are here. I can't wait to come back next year.

Beautiful place, beautiful people.
We have been visiting the Jibacoa area for the past 15 years. After many stays at the resort next door, this was our 4th stay at Memories Jibacoa. We went despite travel advisories and we are glad we did! We experienced no shortages of any kind, no fluctuations in power and no mosquito bites. The rooms have been upgraded since our last visit, the grounds are beautifully kept as always and the food has never been better. If you tire of buffet food and line ups, I recommend the upgrade to premium which offers you breakfast and lunch service in the à la cartes. The staff at this resort are incredibly friendly, hard working and professional. We travel with our adult son who has autism and he is so well looked after and happy and comfortable here. We’ve travelled to other tropical destinations and stayed in higher end resorts and honestly nothing beats Cuban hospitality. Memories Jibacoa is a true gem.

Enjoy!
We loved it, we came for two weeks. The staff are lovely, which was really nice as we’d read they would be before we arrived. Sea was lovely, warm and great snorkelling. Room was great, bed comfortable and clean. Food was just what the doctor ordered! Enjoy.

Overall good, our favorite all inclusive
Overall good. We have been to Memories Jibacoa about 12 times. However, some problems: Missing pool tiles an ongoing problem for years, sharp edges hazardous to feet in pool. They are working on it. Needs to be repaired once & for all. Of 2 hot tubs only one working for years, cold water only, not heated. Hot tubs when used are often dominated by Cubans, who set up for the day, loudly play their own music, even eating in the hot tub. More & more Cubans present, that's not a problem, but a problem when, they play their own loud music at the pool or beach, they pile up food on their plates & tables, then don't eat it, they butt into lines at bars & food stations, not waiting their turn. At one point even the Cuban manager, who was having a bad day, said he was having many problems with the Cuban quests, while shaking his head! The resort MUST maintain its ambiance as a quieter, relaxing, adult place to stay, or it will lose its customer base. Workers & staff are generally warm & wonderful, with the exception of a man & a woman who work at the pool bar & tend to be quite surly, as though you're bothering them to get service. The drinks served vary widely in contents & quality depending who makes them. When classes, events were cancelled, there was no announcement to guests or a replacement staff made available. Get Nelson the omelet man new & more fry pans!! In the mornings the wait staff had to go too far for single cups of coffee. But, the coffee had improved in quality. The quality of wines offered could be improved. Especially in the buffet. Need to get the sail boats fixed, get more sail boats & peddle boats that are operating, extend their operating hours, they quit at 2 pm !! No scuba diving on Sundays, this shouldn't happen when there are days during the week there's no diving due to weather. Some of the best weather days, Sundays, there was NO diving available. Villa Tropical/Jibacoa next door dive 7 days a week. Sometimes there are not enough dive guides available. The dive regulators need better servicing, especially o-rings & mouthpieces. Leaks even from high pressure hoses. I know it's Cuba & parts are hard to get, but safety is paramount. More newer loungers needed around the beach. There was less variety of entertainment, no opera, no aqua ballet, no acrobats, etc. What they had was very good though & well done. Dancers work very hard & are very good. Flamenco dancers were a high light. Musicians very good. Missed the piano player in restaurants & piano bar. Grounds & rooms are well cleaned & maintained. Maids & gardeners work very hard & are very pleasant. We still love the resort & most of the workers. Just, don't let it slip! These are areas that need addressing & soon. Despite all, we will be back as we still enjoy it overall.

Checked all our boxes and more
This cozy small and quaint resort has everything you would ever want - what makes it stand out is the staff - they make you feel like family. Just outside the front gate Mario Sr has a horse and carriage to take you on a ride or Mario Jr has three horses to take you for a ride (50min @ $20us), basketball court, tennis, pickleball. It’s well worth the Premium Class if you book it in advance- especially if you choose to use the spa (close to 50% off if you do. Snorkelling is super great simply 15-20’ off shore (saw 20+ different kinds of fish and you can scuba from the shore for only $25 - swim through coral tunnels and all within 50’ off shore - if you want to go out on a boat, you need to wait for others as the boat won’t go out u less 5 people go. In short we will definitely come back to this resort.
