Nov 24, 2025Memories Jibacoa - Safe and Sound
We have been to this hotel many times and it really is our second home. I usually write about how great the staff is and how the tennis pro Alberto is the best tennis instructor that I have ever met and how the entertainment staff try to make your holiday everything you are wanting it to be. This is all still true but there are 2 things probably more important that I want to address. The first is that you have probably heard about the 4 diseases that are being carried by mosquitos. I asked about them before we went and were told that they are a problem in the towns but not on the resort because they spray, cut the grass and don't allow garbage to collect, We were there for 2 weeks and I never saw a mosquito. I would still suggest you bring extra bug spray, use it every time you go out in the evening and leave it for the Cubans when you go home. The second thing I would like to comment on is food, I think this is a big worry for people going to Cuba these days. the truth is that inspite of their best efforts there may be a few items that they can't get at a particular time. For example this trip they didn't have tonic water for a few days. This hotel is very proactive at ensuring they have most current and future food needs met. You hear stories about Varadero hotels running out of things for days on end. This is not the case at Memories Jibacoa. They rarely run out of anything and if they do it is usually available again in a few days

Amazing vacation.
I have fabulous 2 weeks vacation.There so many wonderful staff, always help you with anything .Thank you Kiki . Also I just want to said thank for all hard working employee. The room are old but comfortable and very clean,food was very good nothing was short!!!!.The baker made the best bread and pastries. 👍👏 Ala carte restaurant they have also very good food. The resort have beautiful landscape with its lush mountain and beach. Thank you once again everyone and I hope to see you again😘

Another amazing vacation!
Returned from another fabulous vacation at MJ! I cannot say enough about the incredible service and pure joy this resort offers. Kiki, Daniel and all the staff ensure that every guest has the best possible experience. You will enjoy each morning greeted by the lovely Oralys while sipping on a cappuccino! If you enjoy snorkeling this resort is for you. Having travelled the Caribbean extensively the snorkeling directly off the beach at Memories Jibacoa is phenomenal. We did not experience any food shortages whatsoever. I am Celiac and the staff went over and above to ensure that my dining experience was safe and enjoyable. The food was fantastic!! Please check out the Spa. We both had incredible massages, something we look forward to every visit. From the grounds keepers, house keepers, customer service to the entertainment staff and all other staff, you will be treated like family! We can not wait to return again and again. Thank you MJ for making sure we were well taken care of and ensuring we enjoyed every moment of our vacation. With Love, Angela and Andy Sargent

Amazing resort
Amazing resort. All staff works hard and provides the outstanding service to the guests. Special thank you to Yordy from the entertainment team , Gilberto and Isaymi from the buffet 😀. We don't want to go somewhere else after visiting this resort. We definitely planning to come back.

Go once and you will go back!
I have just returned from another memorable trip to the lovely Memories Jibacoa Resort. Everything was just as I experienced during my last 10 visits. We arrived very late and were greeted by the warm, friendly reception staff. They checked in the large group of arrivals very efficiently and in no time we were off to our room. Thanks to the Bellman who carried up our heavy luggage AND showed me how to use the safe. Our Garden View room was clean and comfortable, it overlooked beautiful gardens and surprisingly, had a generous slice of an ocean view too! I love that view! The beds were super comfy and our sweet maid JuJu, kept everything perfectly clean and tidy during our stay. Thanks JuJu for all your smiles and efficient service. Mornings I started with a hot cappuccino in the lobby served by Oralys who greets everyone with a wonderful smile. The lobby bar is the hub of relaxing fun for me, every member of their team is to a person, fabulous! Memories Jibacoa has absolutely delicious food, plentiful and varied. My favourites were Nelson's morning omelettes, the perfectly done grilled meats, the homemade buns and pizza, and the ice cream. I was so happy to see Janet, Idania, Neyda and to meet Indiana. We sat in their section daily. But really you can sit anywhere because all of the Memories Jibacoa staff are top notch. I also had outstanding meals and service at the Italian and Le Gourmet. It was wonderful to see all their familiar faces. Thank you to Heidi and Manuel ( was that his name? he advised me on how to have the steak, medium, which was perfect for me). Again I'm forgetting names and again I must say everyone is top notch. I always enjoy the piano player and this year he was accompanied by an amazing singer ! My thanks go out to the amazing, amazing entertainment team, they bring the fun all day long!!! Marcos, Yordy, Bryan, Yendry thanks for all the fun and Memories. Erhling please take a bow for the team you have created. The face of MJ is the incomparable KiKi!!! KiKi can make anything happen, he can answer any question and can solve any problem ( but really there are no problems to worry about - I mean it!). I can't wait to return ❤️
