First time international travel

My best friend took me here for 4 days for my birthday! I was worried this was my first all inclusive experience so I wasn’t sure what to expect. When choosing a resort it took weeks of reading through tons of reviews. So after much deliberation on location, miles from the airport, beach access etc... I decided to go with Iberostar rose hall suites. Best choice I could have made. The staff were exceptional! We booked excursions at the last minute and they fit us in no problem! It was a easy! The hotel offered private taxis to take us to the city (hot spot) and pick us up. They where literally waiting outside! I had so much fun I will def book here again ! They take very good care of you! FIRST TIME INTERNATIONAL TRAVLERS!!!!! PLEASE BE AT THE AIRPORT 2 HOURS BEFORE YOUR FLIGHT. We were able to check my friend in and I went right after him and couldn’t get on the flight. WE MISSED A WHOLE DAY OF OUR TRIP. And the airline only had flights two days later! I ended up paying an additional $700 for a flight the next day!!!! BEWARE!!! Don’t be late!

Check in time was horrible, waited 3 hours from 3 o'clock check in time. Lunch at buffet was not good. Breakfast was good and the service. Beaches not bad but waves were disappointing. Lazy river was a disappointment. Larger pools to crowded. All other restaurants were good with service and food. Room cleaning, it was like we are always the last room to be done. Always had to ask for towels and wash cloths. Needs more foliage, did not hear or see many birds.

My first bad experience was when we left Chicago late, the layover in Miami where our luggage was misplaced and did not arrive at the hotel until Tuesday morning. My luggage was damaged because a whole side of it looks like it was run over and a wheel was broken off.. I was told in Jamaica that American Airline would not replace my luggage. I guess the final disappointment was on Wednesday, while at the dining hall, there was a roach seen and on Thursday in my nephew's room another roach was spotted.

Most Relaxing Vacation

We were upgraded to the adult only side Grand Rose Hall and it was beautiful. We spent most of our time at Rose Hall Suites with our friends. Staff was friendly and the entertainment was exactly what we hoped. Food options and portions allowed something for everyone to be happy. I would absolutely stay here again in the future. Below is the view from our room.

What's to Love

It's all-inclusive, all-epic-elegance - you'll feel so glam.

The gorgeous Junior Suites: Standard, Sea View, Beachfront and two Presidential.

The grandeur of the majestic staircase in the lobby coupled with the funky furniture.

Descending into blissdom of the Vichy showers, juice bar and Pilates/yoga studio at the spa.

What We'd Change

Booking reservations at the a la carte restaurants can be difficult. Fortunately, with sister property access and on-site choices combined, you have lots of dining options.

Why You Should Go

It's 20 minutes from the airport - drinks for you and yours will happen presto.

Snorkel gear, kayaks and catamarans are all free.

There's Lucy's Club (ages 4-12) and Teenies (ages 13-17) for the kiddos. Book that massage.

You can tee off at the famed Tyrall Club Jamaica & Cinnamon Hill Ocean Course nearby.
