Resort is good but service is average
Staff is not interested in serving people at all. Check in itself took a very long time. Buggy rides are not available at all. Even with the baby we had to always walk to and fro to the rooms which is far from the reception

Disappointed and Disturbed – An Unwelcome Experience at Grand Palladium Montego Bay
What was meant to be a joyful and memorable vacation to celebrate our son’s birthday turned into a deeply disappointing experience at Grand Palladium Montego Bay. This was our third time staying at the resort, and we had previously enjoyed it enough to recommend it to others—including a past trip where 30 guests stayed based on our recommendation. That history makes this experience even more painful. On this visit, our group of 25 Indo-Trinidadians traveled together and collectively spent over $30,000 USD, expecting the warm hospitality and high standards we had seen in the past. Unfortunately, what we encountered this time was a disturbing pattern of discrimination, neglect, and dismissive behavior that left us feeling deeply unwelcome. While the resort itself is beautiful—offering scenic views, clean grounds, and diverse amenities—those positives were overshadowed by how differently we were treated compared to other guests. From being ignored at the front desk to receiving curt responses from staff and being repeatedly passed over at restaurants and bars, we constantly felt that our presence was not respected. A particularly upsetting moment occurred at the hibachi restaurant, where we had a reservation for our son’s birthday dinner. A minor, last-minute adjustment to our reservation was met with visible frustration, and instead of trying to help us, the staff made disparaging remarks in patios—comments we clearly understood. It was humiliating and turned what should have been a joyous evening into an incredibly disheartening one. At many of the restaurants, simple requests—like asking for a drink or an extra napkin—were ignored, with staff disappearing or attending to others while skipping us. These weren’t isolated incidents; several members of our party reported the same inconsistent service, dismissive attitudes, and lack of basic courtesy throughout the resort. Perhaps most disappointing was how our concerns were handled. When we approached management in a calm and respectful manner to share our experiences, we were met not with concern or apology, but with indifference and defensiveness. We have stayed at Grand Palladium twice before and even encouraged others to choose it based on our prior positive experiences. But after this trip, it became painfully clear that our ethnicity played a role in how we were treated. Racism—whether subtle or overt—has no place in hospitality. We did not spend thousands of dollars and travel far from home to be treated as second-class guests. To be fair, a few staff members were kind and professional, and we truly appreciated their service. But those moments were far too few to outweigh the overall feeling of exclusion and disrespect. We sincerely hope this review is taken seriously. Grand Palladium needs to invest in comprehensive diversity, equity, and inclusion training, and ensure that every guest—regardless of race or background—is treated with equal respect and care. Until these changes are made, we cannot recommend this resort to anyone looking for a truly inclusive and dignified Caribbean vacation.

Nice resort
Krysan led a wonderful Lion King show with the kids club. All the teachers there have been wonderful. I wish they would have more gluten free breads, pastries, and dessert options. Beautiful beaches and pool is nice. Facilities need a bit more upkeep/maintenance with room bathroom tiles damages and a missing full length mirror that other rooms had.
