Excellent Service

This is an amazing property, the staff are exceptionally wonderful and they make you feel amazing the moment you arrive at the property. I would recommend this property to anyone traveling to Jamaica. However, be prepared to do lots of walking due to there are no elevators in the property.

Not a resort for those with trouble walking.

We had a wonderful time in Jamaica and at Lady Hamilton. Because I myself rely so heavily on reviews before I make a reservation this will be quite detailed: Pro: 1. This resort is massive. It's either the largest or one of the top largest on the island. 2. Beautiful beaches and I loved that we had several to chose from. Some were less busy than others which was nice. 3. The restaurants!! Oh my word! Loved how they were themed AND didn't require a reservation! Except for the actual hibachi (which is fair) though you could still order off the menu. Honestly this was the highlight of our time there. 4. Very friendly staff who always greeted you as you passed by. I hate when staff go out of their way to avoid you so this was wonderful. 5. Mini fridge was well-stocked our entire time there and our room was kept beautiful! 6. Very safe! Even while we were touring the island I felt completely safe. Con: 1. Towel shortage. Get your towel early in the morning if you want a towel for the day. 2. As previously stated, this resort is massive. While I appreciated its size, we loathed the walk from our room to the food. They do have shuttles, however, you have to wait a rediculous amount of time for one. We usually just gave up and walked off the calories we had consumed. 3. No elevators! We were on the 3rd floor and got quite the cardio workout 4. Entertainment was a bit lax. We didn't even know they had nightly entertainment until we stumbled upon the theater. They need to get organized by letting people know it exists, what time, where and what it is each night. 5. So much pressure to go to the spa. In a period of 1 day you could get asked 10 times if you wanted to sign up for a massage.

Not a resort for those with trouble walking. Not a resort for those with trouble walking.

Wouldn’t recommend

The trip wasn’t bad but wasn’t very good either. The beach is blocked within a few feet of the water and the lifeguards will not let you swim beyond there. There’s nothing to do at the resort other then drink and swim so make sure you book plenty of activities. Most activities take a entire day to get to I know the dolphin excursion and the zip lining dose. The only hot tubs at the resort are the one in your room there are no public ones which was disappointing because sometimes the days are colder I went in October and some days were to cold for the pool. The prices are very high which was expected so bring plenty of money. You can use Jamaican currency which is pushed on you but don’t use American it’s worth a lot more there. The excursions are very fun though and they split up people in groups which is nice so there are no long lines. The food and drinks are not refilled daily like your told so don’t count on bringing the complementary peanuts or drinks for day trips. The food is horrible as well so if you have a sensitive stomach you should be cautious I had a bug crawl off my plate. I definitely suggest going to Jamaica it’s a beautiful country but not staying at this resort.

The resort is beautiful and there are many activities and dining options. However, the cleanliness and temperature in the bedroom and lack of customer service impacted our stay. Several staff members asked for tips. The bed was very uncomfortable and the bathtub was dirty on arrival. Room service took two hours. The day we checked out, there was pouring rain and the bell service never came to help with bags.

What's to Love

It's all-inclusive, all-beautiful and all you'd ever want in a beach vacay. Swoon.

The 86,000 sq. ft. infinity pool with four Jacuzzis. You could hang here the entire time & be just fine.

Reservations are not required at any of the restaurants.

Modeled after Roman baths, the epic spa's stress-busting massages, Turkish baths & more.

Teeing off at the renowned Tryall Country Club that's just 10 minutes away. Schwing.

Swooning over the panoramic view of the pool and teal ocean from the Blue Lagoon restaurant.

What We'd Change

The resort is built in rugged country, so the man-made beaches are rocky. Even so, the area is beautiful, and with five pools, finding a place to swim is no problem.

Why You Should Go

It's about 40 minutes from the airport - blink and you'll have a chilly drink in your hand.

You can hop on catamarans, kayaks, pedal boats, snorkeling & windsurfing 100% FREE.

Volleyball, tennis & aerobics are available for calorie burning. (Dip into the ocean to cool off.)

Dunn's River Falls is not too far away and is a must-splash. Jump in.

Since these are villa-style, three-story buildings, there are no elevators. Better than a stair-climber.

BARS/NIGHTLIFE

Most likely, the place you'll plant yourself will be the swim-up bar in the epic infinity pool. However, if you want to dry off, you can hang at a terrace bar with a 180-degree view of the ocean, a sports bar (open 24 hours), a disco and of course, all the haunts next door at the Grand Palladium Jamaica Bar. Cheers.

Unbelievably, there's more: five fresh water pools, with 4 integrated Jacuzzis. Kiddos have their own pool to splash around in. Dive in.
