Outdated

This resort was nice but outdated. The rooms were dark and even with all the lights on it was hard to see. our patio was facing the shopping center and employee buildings so having our curtains open to let natural light in was awkward (lots of people walking right by our door). The beds were very hard and the mini fridge was only stocked with the minimum (we had to ask for more then one bottle of water). The resort is also very large which means you will be doing a LOT of walking. Food was average but I highly recommend the Jerk chicken. The "nurse" is a waste of time do not bother going there. We had a twisted ankle and she could not provide an ace wrap so we had to leave the resort and take a cab to the pharmacy. The gym was missing many weights, equipment was old and breaking down. Overall the gym was not clean and I had to use lots of towels just to sit down. The pool was colder then expected, many of the jets did not work which was disappointing. There were not servers so you had to get out of the pool and go to the bar. The beach was beautiful and calm in the swimming area. The nightly entertainment was interesting, it could use some work. Drinks are strong so that a bonus! and staff was friendly for the most part.

My wife and I loved the resort! The food was much better than most of the resorts in Mexico, however it was more difficult to get reservations at a normal time. The water is beautiful and there are amazing beaches, but it can be rocky at times. Try the Jerk Chicken at the outside lunch buffet, is a must. The weather was perfect, and it was the perfect place to get away from the cold Iowa weather. Dont take the bus to Ocho Rios. Just have your resort get you a cab to take Into town. Dunns River Falls is a must, and it is beautiful. We will be going back to Jamaica!

Dining options were great. However most restaurants were booked so we couldn’t take advantage of many of them. Also loved the assortment of vegetables options. But meat had bones - chicken and fish. Didn’t care for meat options in the buffet. Otherwise great place and would return

What's to Love

It's an all-inclusive beach bonanza for every member of your fam-bam.

The white, cabana-ish tents that hug the pool and provide shade while you chillax.

Being greeted by colorful, fresh bougainvillea on your massage table in the spa.

The two coolio, curvy pools that are a coconut's throw from the beach.

What We'd Change

The beach is a little pebbly, so make sure you bring your water shoes. The upside is that it makes for truly excellent snorkeling right off shore.

Why You Should Go

It's 75 minutes from Mobay airport. Don't fret. You'll be greeted with a welcome cocktail soon.

The beach is a bit pebbly, so bring your water shoes.

Before your flight home, hit Club Mobay at the airport for A/C, drinks and lots of spoiling.

Book your airport transfers with us before you arrive. You'll avoid a lot of headaches.

Hotel Description

Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica: All-Inclusive & All-Fam-tastic

When you enter the open-air lobby of this Victorian-style resort, you'll immediately feel the Jamaican breezes wash over you. Next, you'll encounter a sea of white, wicker chairs on the expansive porch (they're oh-so British), where you can sip a cocktail and soak in all the awesome of the lush grounds. Wander through the complex and you'll be wowed by the glistening pools and the cerulean waves of Runaway Bay. Grab a Red Stripe from the swim-up bar while your kids can descend into a splash frenzy at their own pool. Then you can all gather for some Jerk Chicken at the snack bar, where you can plot your next adventures: water sports, nightly shows, and more. When might we expect you?
