Nice
Great resort. Great room. Food okay managed to find something to eat. The beach is beautiful. The mangrove and wildlife are beautiful. Staff, some were very standoffish. Seems if you tip well you get better service. We tipped daily room cleaner buffet staff and the bell boys when they delivered and collected our cases. Undecided if I would return.

Dominican Republic better than Cuba?
I been to Cube many times and this was first visit Dominican Republic. We usually go 7 family vacation, we have 2 elderly and 2 teenagers. When we arrived Punta Cana Airport we been looking for the transfer bus to resort. This guy asking which bus and we brought our luggage all the way to loading this guy asking us to put them there and start loading, I thought he was bus driver or tour guide from sunwing this guy was nobody i guess and this guy asking tip to my teenager son(which i didn't know at that time, he didn't have any money) and I was about to get in to the bus and guy call me asking tip so I gave him and he was asking my dad for tip again in front of me. I don't see why sunwing let this happening in front of their bus. Any way when we arrived caribe deluxe princess we got 3 rooms, 1 room for my parents and my sister and 2 rooms for my wife and 2 teenagers which has connecting door in between. We ask maid to open this middle door and she told us 5 minutes and we have waited long and we meet another maid in a hallway I ask to open this middle door and she told me 10 minutes we call lobby to open this door and nobody came about 2 hrs. While waiting for this door opening ceremony (we have ask about 15 different people who work in this resort to open the door, they don't speak English, they don't even trying to, they only speak Spanish) we find out one room is hotter than the other room and we lower the AC all the way down and full power fan it's still hot. So I call front desk and ask for the connecting door to be open and AC not working and front desk send AC technician to the room doing this and that and hold hand by the vent and cold air in a minute I put my hand by vent and I don't feel it at all, so I ask him to come to next door which we have go out to hallway and open next door to get in and I put my hand by vent and told him this is cold air not that. So we move back into next door put hand by vent and told this is warm air not cold. This guy call another technician to fix and they couldn't. Since they can speak English they call front desk and told AC is not working and they told us resort is full and they will see what they can do and another waiting. My sister went to lobby and came back with someone who can show other rooms but told her there is no connecting door. AC is more important than connecting door and we went to see the rooms and one room is less cooler than ther room but AC works and there is connecting door and it was open. So right away we pack our stuff and move into these rooms. My parents room is too cold, set temp. higher or low fan still max cold. Only way to control is on and off. But no complain, better than no AC. When you get to the room make sure balcony door lock in our 2 room which don't have glass shield one room has to close in right position to lock and second room doesn't lock at all. I didn't make big thing out of it, because I don't want everyone to know it's unlock anybody can walk into the room. I am tell now since I am not there any more, you should watch out, I used hotel umbrella to block the balcony door to open. It fits bottom of the door. ANOTHER problem with caribe deluxe princess is their mine fridge in the room can't make ice. We have my son's medication has to keep cold. We travel with 3 ice gel packs to keep them cold for this medication to be spoiled. We need to freeze this ice packs to rock ice on the way back home. But mini fridge in the room has no ice section and its not cold. We had to call lobby to send ice to keep medication cold. We sandwich this medication with ice top and bottom and kept it in mini fridge. Guess what ice melts in this mini fridge. We have to get ice one in the morning and one in the evening. One problem after another, or maybe they don't want me to call again from day 2, our phone in a room don't bother 2 rooms 2 phone call out or in I had to go to lobby to ask for ice once in the morning and in the evening. Day 3 I get furious keep telling them phone doesn't work and I have to come to lobby to ask ice in the room twice a day and I don't want to hear 5 minutes 10 minutes again. Finally I sat with guest service that wasn't the first time, Melody, she told me she will send new phones to the room( find out to be it was the line not the phone) our phone was fixed next afternoon. Also Melody offer us complementary dinner for my family, so we had good dinner at seafood restaurant. Thanks Melody. This year there was so much Sargassum seaweed in the water this is nothing to do with resort it's all mother nature. But it didn't stop us going in where less seaweed presents. Other hotel clear seaweed better than our hotel but seems like with water way moving less seaweed built up on other hotel. We had to walk about 500 meters to get there. It wasn't much but it was very hard for my mom. Over all it was OK. And there is nothing you can do to mother nature, at least they tried. And also in pool bar I had 2 day they ran out of beer and no more mojito guess ran out of mints. I haven't seen run out of beer in Cube before. And their coke doesn't taste like regular coke even the bottle in the fridge it's kind weird, because Coca-Cola recipe should be same where ever you go. Regular coke tastes like zero sugar coke, Sprite seem taste right but white label regular coke taste different. It's some what in between no name coke and zero sugar coke. Weird. All my family agreed no more Dominican Republic. I say Cube is some what better, Cube we bring our own ketchup and sauce need to enjoy food better. At least Cuban speak little bit better English and very willing to help. Cuban never say 5 minutes and 10 minutes and don't show up for 2 hrs 3 hrs or never show up. It not a language (English or Spanish) it's willingness to help people.

Not worth it at all
Never again. I do not see how this could be a 5 star hotel honestly. I am actually here right now spending a few days (june 25). Pools never seem to be fully clean, rooms present AC issues over and over (my parents had to be relocated to another room…AC was working there but the room had a heavy mold smell, my room is still with AC issues despite having asked the staff to sort it a few times over 2 days - really bad nights of sleep without AC!). Staff are generally impolite, when you ask something most of them are grumpy and it feels like they are doing you a great favor and that you should say you are sorry for being born! Pool bars have no menu so You have no idea what you can order and when you ask the bartender what is available, get ready for more grumpiness! I have been to several all inclusive resorts in Brazil and Asia and I can say for sure: you will have a much much nicer experience there!

Best place in the world
We stayed at Caribe deluxe princess in February for a belated honeymoon and upgraded to platinum upon arrival. We were given a beautiful room with a great Seaview. The platinum lounge was a huge hit for us, the a la carte breakfast & lunch here was incredible every day. Agustin, Cepin, and Andres work so hard all day long and really made our time special. The sports bar has great snacks and is nicely air conditioned, we enjoyed watching the England six nations match here one afternoon. Pools are incredible and the grounds are so well maintained with various wildlife around the hotel, everywhere is cleaned to a really high standard and the beach was such a highlight for us, the platinum sunbeds are fantastic. The ice cream & coffee shop are also worth mentioning, lovely fresh cakes every day and usually a peacock hanging around the terrace. The shuttle bus was a helpful way to get around but we did prefer a walk most evenings after such great food, i cant comment on the buffet as we did not eat there with so many other options. The A la carte restaurants were so good we visited all of them, some more than once (Mexican, seafood & tepenyaki). To anyone reading the reviews on here and being put off this hotel, i must say go and experience it for yourself, we had a great 11 nights, it was the best time in paradise surrounded by such lovely fun people, we enjoyed it so much we have booked to come back again in December 2025 with our children and can not wait to return!

An experience to remember
Summary I was a little worried when I first booked due to the varying in reviews. However, I would always encourage people to experience things for themselves as perspectives can be subjective. With that being said, despite my fears this hotel was an absolute dream. I have been to an array of all inclusive vacations and this one falls in my top five. Immediate attention was given from arrival to departure. We were greeted with welcome drinks, the workers at the lobby was extremely helpful and accommodating to my family of eight even switching room three times for us to accommodate my grandmother who has issues walking. The staff at this hotel was always very kind towards us, greeting us every morning. The cleaners were sweet leaving flowers in the room and a stocked fridge. I have read reviews about the pool chairs always being booked but for my family we always got seats despite how crowded the hotel seemed. Food The food at the buffet was highly repetitive and got tiring after some time. The buffet was actually the reason why I gave the hotel 4 stars instead of 5. The waiters and waitresses at the buffet was really nice especially Ana who always greeted us and ensured we were well taken care of. Because of the buffet not being our favorite we opted to visit two restaurants instead that being Nopal (Mexican) and Fogo (Brazilian). At Nopal we waited almost forty minutes for our table despite having a 8:30pm reservation, we then waited an additional hour for the appetizers and found out that the waiter only wrote 5 appetizers instead of 8 for my family of 8. We then waited a really long time for drinks having to ask a number of times for them. The entres were okay and as time went on we realized that we were the only ones in the restaurant. A family of 8 came in almost an hour and a half after us, They sat beside us and received there appetizers, entres, desserts and left the restaurant while we sat there still waiting for our desserts. The staff were nice but it seemed as if there were no order or communication. It felt like we were begging them for food because at every point at the a la carte we had to ask for our food. Like I said the staff were really nice but their lack of efficiency was visible. I would think twice before going here but I would recommend one experience it for themselves, your experience may be better than mine. On the positive side, Fogo was completely different, the staff was efficient and the experience was unreal. My family couldn't stop talking about how wonderful the restaurant was. We got our table at the time we reserved them for, the moment we sat down we got our appetizers and drink and from there it was an experience unlike any other the constant service of food, check ins from the waiters just added to the galore. We were served on swords of meat and every aspect of this restaurant was an absolute dining experience and I recommend everyone try it out. Kanalla the sports bar has really nice food and is delicious for a midday snack. I loved the wings there. The beach bar has amazing food as well for anyone wanting a quick snack while in the pool or beach. We visited the coffee shop almost every day and the pastries and drinks were always delicious, the ice cream shop was also very enjoyable offering a variety of unconventional ice-cream flavors as a picky eater I encourage you to try. Fun Since researching this place I wanted to play mini golf, and we did and it was so much fun. We ended up getting the entire course for our selves and it was such an amazing experience and a must try when visiting. The foam party was another thing I was super excited for and it exceeded my expectations, I had so much fun at the party and I hope others get to experience it as well, it was on Wednesday at 3-5pm. The only disappointment was that I saw on the hotel's instagram that during the party balloons were shared. However, none was given on our day which was a slight disappointment as I was looking forward to it. It is important to note that bowling is not free despite no warning of it being a paid activity, my family went to bowl as it was listed as one of the activities there and then we found out it cost $10usd per person to play. The animation team tries very hard to differentiate themselves and I appreciate that a lot. They do so by offering an array of various entertainment such as a circus, a show, a beach party and a dance party. There was always something new to look forward to every night. Gift Shop I heard many say that the gift shop was overpriced and some items seemed so but others not so much. Basic souvenirs like bracelets ($6usd) , magnets ($8usd) were not overpriced and so I purchased those. I even purchased a handmade fan which also didn't seem over priced at $12usd. T-shirts and handbags were definitely overpriced at $30-$40 usd so you may want to look elsewhere. Miscellaneous The wifi at the resort worked well for me and my family despite the reviews, we did not have premium wifi and was still able to do all that we wanted to do with the basic wifi. I was able to get wifi at various points at the resort with no issues. The beach was filled seaweed and despite efforts you were still unable to bathe in their which was unfortunate. There is an outpouring of mosquitoes. I killed countless mosquitoes in my room during my stay so please walk with insect repellant. The train at the resort was very convenient especially for my grandmother, it does not take long to get one and they take you to various points at the resort. I personally enjoyed the animals, it was a joy seeing a flamingo and peacock in real life for the very first time. My dad was also very fascinated by the amount of iguanas at the nature section. Overall It was an amazing vacation, my family had an wonderful time. It did not feel like a budget or cheap hotel but a well deserved five star hotel. Yes the food at the buffet has some areas of improvement but other than that everything else was simply outstanding. I enjoyed every moment and aspect of this place and I do recommend you try it for yourself. You won't regret your stay at the Caribe Deluxe Princess
