Avoid this place at all costs if you plan to eat at all!
While some of this is not the resort's fault, we had a comedy of errors and mishaps on this trip. We booked sister resort TRS Cap Cana and apparently that resort closed on the day of our arrival unbeknownst to us. There was no communication, so the airport shuttle third party company, which we prebooked and prepaid, was also unaware and brought most of our group to a closed hotel. We get the to TRS Turquesa and we had all booked swim up suites only to find out, guess what, we're fully booked only to be told "You should have called to rebook." How could we when we didn't even know?! We accept the smaller second story rooms and start the vacation. We booked a photograapher from the resort to come take photos for a surprise engagement and they no showed only to call 2 days too late and ask when to show up. Then they decorated the newly engaged couples room - the WRONG room and for an anniversary! While the resort is pretty and well kept, the FOOD is the thing that will make me tell everyone to NEVER come here - even with the two sister companies attached there was not one place with a decent dish. We were all sick half the trip, most of the food was not cooked enough, flies are all over the buffet lines, nothing is sanitary. We travel the world and I'm not a picky eater, but I could not stomach the food at any of the restaurants. We booked El Dorado for a "nicer" steak dinner and ordered a NY strip only to get the thing in the photos - we could not even cut through the fat enough to eat more than a couple bites. Beware leaving property - a tour into Santo Domingo had a reroute due to protests and civil unrest. Do not Uber, an uber driver tried to cancel the trip while en route and demand cash. It's just not a safe country right now. While most of the staff was super friendly and helpful, be aware that English only speakers may struggle. I am bilingual and had a blast speaking to the crew and a good $$ tip here and there goes a long way. The spa was a great day and facilities were great, but again, the food was awful there too.

Bad service
Bad service at the bars, with the exception of the secret pool bar. The butlers treated us very well, and the excursions we went on were really fun.”

EAST coast Kitchen Party
Air Canada East Coast Kitchen Party. I was one of the musicians. The staff were very professional. Especially my butler Jean.

Great Place To Stay
Awesome trip. Just returned from 10 glorious days. We had no issues while here. Our butler Norielis was awesome along with every staff member we came in contact with. I would definitely go back

Wonderful hotel. Highly recommended.
The food, service, and friendliness of staff, were all exceptional, as was the property itself. We have stayed in several hotels in DR, and this was one of ( maybe even the best) that we have stayed in. It gets really quiet at night though, so you may have to bring your own entertainment. Either that, or visit one of the other 3 properties in the group. There is also a Casino and Disco somewhere on the premises, but you would have to take a trolley in order to get there.
