  Great Beach, Decent Stay, but Falls Short in Key Areas

  Here’s a polished, traveler-friendly version tailored for TripCentral—clear, fair, and helpful without sounding harsh: ⸻ Grand Sirenis Punta Cana – Honest Review Our recent stay at Grand Sirenis Punta Cana was enjoyable overall and met the basic needs for a family vacation, but it’s not a resort we would likely return to or recommend over other options in the area. Rooms: We booked a family room, which offered adequate space, but the setup isn’t the most family-friendly. The room included a king bed and a pull-out sofa, which wasn’t ideal. A bunk-style layout (queen on the bottom, single on top) would make much better use of the space. The room itself was clean but a bit worn, similar to what we’ve seen at many all-inclusive properties. Food: There was always plenty of variety and the presentation was consistently nice, but overall the flavors fell short. The effort is clearly there, but the resort could benefit from a stronger culinary direction to elevate the dining experience. Staff: Staff were generally friendly. Wilkins at the beach bar and our waiter at the French restaurant stood out for their great service, and we had pleasant experiences with staff in Samana as well. Beach: The best part of the resort. Lots of shade, easy access to the water, and never overly crowded. A beautiful, relaxing spot. Overall: We enjoyed our trip and it checked the major boxes, but it wasn’t one of our favorites. With so many excellent resorts along this stretch of beach, we’d be inclined to try a different property next time.

  Read all bad reviews it’s all true avoid! Wish id listened

  Do NOT book this hotel, listen to every bad review it’s all True im here now and dispite desperately trying to get a flights home early we couldn’t so have stuck it out but …. Unfortunately, our stay at this property has been beyond disappointing and did not meet our expectations. TUI say it’s 4 star I wouldn’t give it 2 and that’s being generous! From moment we arrived when horrific and I’d say every other person we spoke to all say same. Some Managed to move hotels I have an open urgent complaint with TUI who are no help but have told me they’re aware there is issues at hotel!!! I’ve also spoken to hotel manger! Check in was a long drawn out process staff messing about, joking with each other taking private calls not dealing with what they were supposed be doing, just rudely bang on iPad for you to enter all your details. Then told a rough direction of room it’s so poorly lit couldn’t find our room for ages and then out bags were to follow took an hour to get Bags why could of took myself it’s all just for tips Got in room immediately got with a damp smell that was mixed with vomit! Bed felt damp floors dirty shower dirty! Safe don’t work we were starving so just took valuables and went buffet , hot food freezing cold nothing labelled one spoon serving multiple dishes so nice cross contamination, salads burgers cheeses not on refrigerated like plates so just warm and left out, flies every where birds pecking at bread! Youll wait ages for water, a drink salt tables are dirty Once in room tried get safe work to lock up valuables so could go for food, safe was broke this took multiple phone calls so had carry everything around with us that first night then nobody as promised at pre arranged time to fix safe However the main issue is the standard of food quality and safety TUI you advertise on your website a 4 star resort two buffets multiple a la cart reasturnats in short false advertising only 1 buffet open most restaurants closed ones that were open had book on App that didn’t work and most closed for renovation which you did not make us aware of otherwise we wouldn’t of picked this hotel!! 1st night Went to buffet as only option that time of night on first night carrying all our valuables with us as safe was broke - food was minimal, not labelled, what we could work out was inedible, freezing cold and slops from dishes beside each tray of food was mixed in to its neighbouring tray so cross contaminating so didn’t eat that first night. Next day went to pool at lunch went to snack bar ordered a burger - raw in middle asked if they could put back on grill the guy serving us full of attitude like it was such a inconvinance to cook food About an hour later started to get a bad stomach I belive this is down to the food not being cooked correctly and then having to go back on grill. Tried buffet again food was inedible nothing labelled so just trays of mystery food and cooks using same spoon to stir each tray food so again cross contaminating everything . breakfast only option is buffet scrambled eggs that are swimming in milky water extremely under cooked extremely unsafe to eat! hash brown that should Of been piping hot as just opened freezing still frozen in middle, We did get some pizza from snack hut which was fine - during the whole time from arrival We tried constantly to book the bookable as advertised a la cart reasturnats, not a single booking available later we have found out if you tip Concierge they’ll magically get you a booking, they also told us the hotel app was broken so can’t book that way! Nobody at hotel communicated this App didn’t say was down or anything so again lack of communication. tried food truck, as approached we watched the cook started sneezing and I’m talking snot and mucus hanging out his nose running down his hands as he tried to wipe it away, so he sneezing spraying it all over the counters in food truck and everything . He then just wiped his hand on a rag and went back to cooking!! Didn’t wash his hands decontaminate the counter tops or throw away the food he just sneezed or snotted all over! How on earth is this safe food hygiene 4 star luxury or even acceptable the snack restaurant - dinner time no food ready again they eventually started cooking burgers massive wait been waiting over 20 mins and they had 8 patties half cooked on grill then the cook put another 8 raw patties on grill next to half cooked food all touching raw meat juices running over half cooked burgers then he used the same spatulas to touch both the raw and cooked Route 66 - broken booths dirty walls mould on ceiling staff don’t know what they’re doing you might get what you ordered what we got came without its sides or sauces or drinks ! The main buffet area had an unpleasant sewage smell every day, and the staff could not provide an explanation. We also noticed flies, stray cats, and even cockroaches in the buffet area, which was unacceptable for a resort of this level. The à la carte restaurants were equally disappointing. Most of them were closed, and those that were open had no availability for reservations. Actually feel completely upset and unsafe here , felt unwell had ate very little spoke to some other guest who said they also had similar issues and tui told them this hotel was on their list of hotels they were watching! The activities were poorly organized and felt more like random games than real entertainment. The water park is in urgent need of renovation. The pools are also poorly designed - one is for VIP guests, one is too deep (7 feet), and the other is for small children (1-3 feet), with loose lights and electric chipped tiles no safe place to get in apart from shallow end. Honestly just avoid! We are not picky travellers we travel a lot and this is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever been to any where in the world ! The flies in buffet and most restaurants are horrific Pool is dirty, broken lights just float in water or hang with wires loose, loads tiles missing all over so sharp on feet. In the day if they run out of something it’s not replaced till next day, pool bar had 3 days straight no coke or anything from soda machine. Also music is so loud round pool so if you want to relax not a chance as speakers are placed every where ! Also same repetitive activity same songs every day for 2 weeks in pool. In buffet they will put a tray out when it’s gone it’s rarely replaced so you’ll not get a chance try things. Not all food is labelled on buffet just some dishes so enjoy mystery meat. You’ll wait ages on a morning for coffee Etc when buffet opens there still setting up, why this can’t be done prior to opening up we don’t know every morning your scrambling to get cups, a fork etc. Same on buffet we waited 15 mins for them to put serving spoons out so we could get some food. Housekeeping - she might leave you towels and drinks/water if your lucky in two weeks shower and toilet haven’t been cleaned once or floors absolutely vile I’ve had to buy wipes and clean myself ! If you leave a tip daily will get a better service though. Over all just avoid, I’ve spoke hotel manger he’s aware of issues and has been brought in to try train staff and get this place sorted ! It’s on TUIs watch list also. Most people will say oh I’m moaning or being picky I’m not we are well travelled stayed in 3 star basic in Spain that’s better than this.

  My home away from home. People are great, staff are very friendly, and rooms are very nice. Highly recommend you try this resort.
