Do NOT book this hotel. Listen to every bad review. I stayed here from 14/11/2025–24/11/2025 and our stay was beyond disappointing. This hotel did not meet expectations on any level and certainly is not a five-star experience. From the moment we arrived the experience was horrific, and every other guest we spoke to said the same. The standards here are extremely poor and completely unacceptable. As soon as we entered our room we were hit with a damp smell and found issues with no hot water, ants in the bathroom and balcony area, and a blocked toilet. The buffet was the worst part of the hotel. Every day the entire buffet area smelled like sewage. Hot food was cold, nothing was labelled, trays of food were being stirred with the same utensils and salads, yogurts, burgers and cheeses were left unrefrigerated. There were always long waits for water, glasses were missing by the drink stations, and tables and plates were often dirty. The pool buffet had flies and birds entering throughout the day, then at night the same space was used as a steak restaurant. The backs of the chairs were covered in bird droppings and were never cleaned. I had stomach issues for five days of the holiday and I am still unwell after returning home. My daughter has now also become sick. We tried the buffet several times and the food was inedible. Nothing was labelled – just trays of mystery food. Breakfast was awful: scrambled eggs swimming in milky water and undercooked, hash browns still frozen in the middle, and no safe children’s options. Route 66 left us waiting 80 minutes with no food. The Italian restaurant had a 60-minute wait. Availability was so bad that as a family of four we were offered times at 9:30pm. There were flies, birds and stray cats in the buffet area. Chairs and tables felt damp and unclean. We spoke to other guests who said they also felt unwell and had the same stomach issues. The hotel’s entertainment is repetitive and loud – the same songs and activities every day. The lobby and pool music is so loud that it’s impossible to relax, and at guest services the volume was so high staff couldn’t even hear me. No one suggested moving to a quieter space to talk. The water park and pools are in desperate need of maintenance. Loose lights and exposed wiring hanging into the pool, broken tiles everywhere, sharp edges, and dirty water. Loose steps at the water park also. The hygiene standards in general are frightening. We watched staff using dirty cups straight out of the sink to serve drinks at the pool bar. We also saw chefs handling food after touching bins without washing hands. I ended up covered in wet paint at the pool bar because there were no warning signs. Why they paint at peak pool times is beyond me. I completed a complaints form in the hotel and spoke to multiple staff members but there was zero follow-up. I have since submitted a formal complaint to TUI. This holiday was supposed to be a family trip, but instead we spent most of the time trying to get support or complain about problems that were never resolved. We are not picky travellers – we travel often, and this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. Honestly, just avoid. I would never recommend this hotel and would never return. Hygiene, safety, food, maintenance, and customer service all urgently need improvement.

    Awful experience

Imad Azzouzi room 4103/4102 Most of the Staff are not welcoming, you don’t hear (you’re welcome or my pleasure) very often, most of them are very serious and not cheerful or happy, and it’s very hard to get their attention if you need something, they just neglect you, some of the servers are even rude. the only exceptions were Pablo from breakfast buffet, he had great service, he noticed my female server brought me coffee with no spoon or sugar that I had to reach out to another table to ask for one sugar, Pablo right way brought me a teaspoon and sugar cady. Also Eliezer from cinicetta and the French restaurant was above and beyond with his service, other than that service was terrible. Their orange juice and sodas are garbage, sodas are flat, I have to take the mini bar bottle with me when I go to eat. A lot of other people do the samething. Drinking water is hard access here unless you take the 1l bottle from the mini bar with you, no small bottles of water and no bottled water offered outside your room. You have to get cups of water from the bar (Possibly tap water). I went to an excursion at 630am with an empty stomach because I was told breakfast starts at 7am, but it wasn’t true, limited breakfast starts at 6am. Room service: the all inclusive items are terrible, the good stuff you have to pay full amount. After 10pm you only can get food from the food truck( Bergers, wings, nachos) not good at all and also they run out of a lot of options before midnight while the supposed to close at 3am, if you are vegetarian or prefer something else you have to wait until the next day. Throw pillows were nasty and stained luckily we brought our own bed sheets and pillow cases. Seaweed destroyed the beach. Mosquitoes are canibals, you have to keep the repellent on your skin all daylong which is not good especially for the kids. Buffet is very repetitive to much food at the expense of the quality. If you are vegetarian you will struggle, same pans, utensils, are used for meat and none meat as well. Juice glasses don’t get washed, I saw servers dumping juices out of the glass, rinsing them and the drying them with towel and boom back on the buffet again, this is how my son got sick probably, hundreds of mouths drinking from same glass, my son had bad rash. Table mats were disgusting. Chairs in elrancho are nasty. Bathroom ceiling was dripping. Bath tubs don’t have plugs. First day right after we walk in our room we notice a mold like smell. Housekeeping came right there to refresh the room. I couldn’t get dinner reservations on my first 2 nights because they were sold out, we had to eat in the buffet, the buffet is very repetitive food they prefer quantity over quantity, 3nd night it was a Japanese restaurant, sushi and spring rolls were never replaced since our reservation was at 9pm and they close at 930pm. The cooking show was alright but the portion was very stingy, it was like a kid meal not adult, we tried to go to the buffet to fill ourselves but it was closed, chef served us food on nasty plates, people around the table were exchanging looks and no one dared to say anything. 4th night, cinicetta was amazing, food and service, nothing to add here. 5th night el rancho, we tried to place our order, we asked for onion rings, the server said we don’t have it, we asked for 4 salmon entrees, the server said we don’t have it, we said ok we will do 4 steaks and also 2 veggie meal for 2 other people, he said we don’t have no vegetarian options, the menu had 4 items on it lol. We got up and left to the buffet again, but this time it was open, we only enjoyed 2 dinner out of 6 lol. We filled a complaint with customer service and guess what? No one reached out or at least apologized, the just didn’t care at all

THE WORST HOTEL I've ever stayed in my life.

THE WORST HOTEL I've ever stayed in my life. Drinks? They're almost never available anywhere except the bar near the reception. Food - If you like eating spoiled food, this is the place for you. Politeness? Apart from the receptionist, good luck, because the staff are either in a bad mood or trying to sell you a visit to see the future hotel so you'll pay something and they'll earn a commission. Room - Uncomfortable and smelly. Pools - Dirty, VERY dirty. Pool bar - If you think it's an environment for minors, THIS is the place for you, because there were babies, children, everything, a complete lack of respect.

Some aspects are great but mainly disappointed

The room was spacious and comfortable, nice and cool after a hot day at the beach. Pools and beach are clean and tidy, well maintained. They offer coconut 🥥 what they harvest from the trees. Bars are great, plenty of drinks to choose from. Entertainment was really good with live music and shows. Food was alright, we were always able to choose something although the coffee machines were always switched off at the bars so the only option was to go outside the pool area and walk a fair distance to the coffee shop to get some coffee which is not ideal if you want to enjoy an ice coffee by the pool. Service was chaotic at the restaurant every time, staff seemed as they had not much knowledge of what they're doing. Running around to set up tables, not fully setting up them such as cutlery and glass missing which then we needed to hunt for. No plates by the food station at the pool restaurant, no glasses by the water cooler/ juice station. Great lack of English speaking, even the reception was struggling to understand me. Not very friendly staff, they seemed as guests being a burden to them. I have raised this issue with multiple staff but seems to be ignored and some staff just even walked away from me. They're expecting to get a tip every time we order something and I'm all for tipping but only if deserved. Themed restaurants are average, at the Mediterranean one we needed to wait 30 minutes before someone told us we need to order from the website which wasn't working, very slow service. I don't find the standard being equal to a 5 star hotel. We came here as we had an excellent experience at Grand Sirenis Mexico but this definitely wasn't up to our expectations.

Mixed Experience: Lovely Property, Lacking in Service

If you’re an adult solo traveler like myself, this resort is probably not the ideal choice. My week was dominated by children and young families, making it difficult to enjoy a quieter, adult-focused atmosphere. Although there were a couple of late-afternoon adult events at the pool bar, the overall environment is clearly designed with families in mind. The resort grounds are attractive, and the range of à-la-carte dining options was impressive. The food quality was excellent—especially the hamburgers. My favorite restaurants were Route 66 (American) and the Mediterranean venue. The Japanese restaurant had potential, but I found the chef’s practice of flinging food at guests to catch in their mouths to be in poor taste and not particularly entertaining. My room in Block 15 was clean, comfortable, and serviced daily. The fridge was well stocked with water, beer, and soda; hot water was always available; and towels were plentiful. I also appreciated the USB wall outlets, which made charging personal electronics convenient. Unfortunately, I cannot speak positively about the staff. I found them unfriendly, disengaged, and slow to respond, often requiring multiple reminders for simple requests. I only saw one staff member smile during my entire stay. Because of this, I would not return. I was also disappointed by the pressured approach during checkout, where I was required to complete an emailed survey before they would proceed. Staff members insisted I mention their names and rate them as exceptional, which felt inappropriate and uncomfortable. As for the beach, the sargassum was constant throughout the week, and cleanup efforts were rarely visible. At one point, the accumulation reached roughly three feet high, and I had to climb over it just to access the water. One afternoon, a considerable amount of garbage washed ashore, cutting my swim short.
