Dec 30, 2025Enjoyable stay but some cons
Overall an enjoyable stay at this hotel. Pros and cons to follow: Pros: 1. The hotel is in a beautiful location. The beach is stunning and the rooms are spacious. 2. Service is generally exceptional. All of the concierge, cooks, waiting staff and entertainment can’t do enough for you. They are a credit to the hotel all of them. 3. The drinks available inclusively are excellent. You can get cocktails made with premium spirits and they have a good selection of beers and wines available inclusively. 4. Sun loungers at the pool are good quality and very comfortable 5. Taxi prices to get around Punta Cana are very reasonable and you can book them through the concierge Cons 1. The restaurants. Unless you have paid for the preferred upgrades, there isn’t a great selection of restaurants for evening meals. You get the choice of 4 (Asian, French, Mexican and Italian) so if you are staying for a couple of weeks you get bored quick. I would personally prefer the buffet to be open for evening meals to provide some variety and break up the a la carte monotony. 2. The food generally is very rich and sweet. This wasn’t to my palate, however when I could use the buffet for lunch and breakfast you could put a meal together that wasn’t, but ordering from a la carte in the evenings it was a lot more difficult. 3. Beach sun loungers. On the non-preferred beach the sun loungers are very uncomfortable. No padding at all. 4. Post checkout situation. At previous secrets properties they have had no issue with us using the facilities and eating and drinking until our transfer arrived. However here they expect a hefty fee (we were quoted upwards of $100). It wouldn’t be an issue were it not an outlier for this brand in my experience. 5. I think overall the biggest issue is the two tier system of preferred and non-preferred. Preferred gets the full hotel. With the prices they charge for the regular rooms I don’t really think that’s fair. I understand a room or view upgrade but food and sun beds seems like real penny pinching.

Dec 30, 2025Returning guests at Christmas were not disappointed
We returned for family Christmas and we weren’t disappointed. Hotel room was great overlooking pool; cool air con when it was hot. Maid was very attentive and discrete turn down service every night. Food was excellent across buffet and all the restaurants we tried. Tops for us is always oceana surf and turf. Bars are super friendly and make some great cocktails high end ingredients. Augustina in the bar continues to bring life to evenings. As last time our concierge Barreto was attentive and helpful and no issue was too small to be solved quickly. He ensured we had some nice sparking wine in the room on Christmas Eve. Thanks to all the elves and helpers that made this Christmas one to remember. Ps do get early one day to get the sunrise beach and experience it is free and unreal! See photo

Holiday getaway
My husband and I had a lovely stay. Our Concierge Gerardo was very nice, attentive and took good care of us. The resort was beautiful and clean. The staff through out the resort were some of the best we've had. Shout out to Juan for the towels and umbrellas, Oliver for beach entertainment and Conan, hostess at the Market Cafe. Thank you

Wonderful Cap Cana vacation
Secrets Cap Anna is our favorite resort in the Caribbean. The food the staff are superior to anywhere we’ve been, but what set this trip apart from the other others was the wonderful service we received from our Butler Miguel. He went over and about to make our trip wonderful. This was our fourth visit and will be returning again this year.

Great for couples
The staff was friendly and willing to go out of their way to help. Our private concierge was definitely the biggest plus, as we used him to book things and answer any of our questions
