First Class Property

We had a Junior Suite Ocean View and the room was perfect. Wonderful shower and bed was comfortable. The pool was relaxing and if you wanted socializing there was plenty of that as well. Drinks kept coming and the tropical ones were tasty. The beach area was nice but water had a lot of seaweed. Water was warm and beautiful. We enjoyed the restaurants except for the fact that we were wine drinkers and the house wines were not what we expected. So they had upgrades which were very expensive. This is the only thing we thought could be better. Maybe have a wine club and there would be better wines available at a reasonable cost. The entertainment was very good and the other amenities were very good as well. Overall - it was a very good trip!

Beautiful resort with great service

I spent 4 nights at Secrets Cap Cana and was impressed with the property and the service. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They also thought of all of the small details- when it rained briefly, someone rolled a cart around the lobby with board games, they bring around fresh fruit or ice cream at the pool, my concierge would touch base with me in the morning to see if he could help with anything, etc. My only negative is that the food is mediocre. There are abundant options so you can certainly find something to suit your taste, but the quality just isn’t that great, especially given the caliber of resort.

Great Resort

We loved this beautiful resort! The service was exceptional and very friendly and accommodating. We loved the infinity pool that looked right out onto the beach and ocean. The temperature of the pool was perfect. Fantastic views! Everything was top notch! The room was beautiful and the maid service was fantastic! Room service was great! Our only thought was that the food quality could have been slightly better. The food was good, but nothing fantastic. Enjoyed the different restaurant selections. The poolside grill could have had more variety. Though we thought the portion sizes at the restaurants were perfect. The food staff was fantastic! We did like the desserts. The poolside service was very attentive and friendly. Gift shop prices were very high. Gym was great. Would have liked more of a selection of clothing in the Secrets clothing shop. We enjoyed the outdoor music at night that we listened to from our balcony. We will definitely return to this beautiful resort!

The Saddest Christmas Story Ever

Okay here goes. I’m 27, the only single girl in my entire city (or so it feels) and work a very high stress job 89 hours a week. The holidays were looking like a dark cloud coming my way, so I did what I thought was like the coolest thing ever and booked myself a trip to Punta Cana for Christmas. I was picturing Carrie Bradshaw on her honeymoon after being left at the altar as far as mood, but as far as fashion I was picturing the second movie’s Dubai vibes. This website made it super easy to find a great trip at a great price and book it with no issues. It took me like two minutes, and then my whole mood changed and I felt like a cool, edgy, chic woman who flees the country on holidays because she can. Fast forward to the morning of my trip. I had eaten nothing but white fish and green beans for 10 days so my beach body was looking great. I went to grab my passport on my way out the door and realized in horror that my 16 year old face was staring back at me on my expired passport. It was at that moment that I realized: my current passport was in my ex boyfriends safe! It’s four in the morning, my ex boyfriend hates me, what am I going to do to make this flight?! So I start blowing him up in very creative ways (since I’m blocked from most normal means of contact) to try to locate this passport. No response. Hours go by. I’ve missed my flight at this point. I called this website for help, the girl was great but informed me of the unfortunate news that because it was Christmas, there were no other flights I could get on. She also let me know my resort has a 100% cancellation penalty or whatever it’s called when you get absolutely no refund. At this point it’s early morning, my little sister (who was acting like Marisa Tomei in My Cousin Vinny) goes directly to my ex boyfriends parents house to find out where this passport is. He and his new girlfriend (aka the rebound that never ended) come to the door looking like they’d slept under a bridge, to inform my sister that they do not in fact have the passport. It was thrown away with many of belongings “a long time ago”. At this point it’s important to point out that the new girlfriend looks like she has been eating everything besides white fish and green beans. My sister leaves, horrified at the scene which looked like it could have been an audition for the role of the parents in the new Matilda movie. So unfortunately, CheapCaribbean.com, I have very little feedback on the actual trip itself. It remains only a fantasy in my head, being decked out in expensive swimwear, a bunch of hot island men serving me Patron & Soda at the beautiful Secrets Cap Cana resort. However I will say that this website has very cheeky automated prompts on their Customer Service hotline, which did not go unnoticed. I am a big fan of the overall marketing vision. I may be alone on Christmas morning watching Vanderpump Rules and writing a review of a vacation I never went on, but I do appreciate good marketing strategy. Here’s hoping my PTSD calms down by spring and I can book another vacation via your website. Until then I will continue to freeze in my single misery in Upstate NY. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! Love, Martina
