Drink in hand in the dazzling Dominican - this could be you while your kiddos are off squealing and sliding in their splashy pool. This all-inclusive earth-heaven is swimming with all the water sports, entertainment, good grub and good eats your amazing fam can wrap their sweet sandy heads (and bodies) around. Seriously. It's a Memory Fest just waiting to happen.

Great Beach and Pools, rooms need upgrading
This resort had great beaches and pool’s, service was good, the staff were friendly, not enough of the staff spook English Fluently, the Japanese restaurant was the best, the Italian was good, the French restaurant sucked, the breakfast buffet was good every day and the main buffet was hit or miss somedays ok other days not so good and for lunch the buggers and hotdogs are way different than American buggers and hotdogs, the buggers were rubbery and hot dogs were awful, one bright spot the fries were really good. I got diarrhea 4 times.
The Rooms need to be updated, took 3 rooms to find one that didn’t smell so bad, the room doors looked like someone tried to break into them several times. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was ok, the sliding doors for the balcony were very had to open and close.
If you are looking for great beaches and pools I would recommend this resort, if you are looking for good food I would say go somewhere else.
Hope this helps, this is a very honest review of this resort.
This resort did not feel like a Caribbean escape...every meal gave us cramps, we spent more time in the bathroom than the beach, and we were constantly worrying about having fresh food options for our next meal.
Drinks are all premade, so if you ask for a pina colada or anything you get hot liquor poured into a mix that immediately melts the ice in the drink and boom. The drinks were so bad we truly did not drink the entire week we were there. I also asked for alternatives like vodka soda and was told it wasn’t something they had????? With a full bar?????
Staff was extremely rude. Seemed like they didn’t even want to be there.
Also NO WIFI. Is it 2019 or not? We had to bribe staffers with tips or good travel reviews to get these little papers with codes that lasted 12 hrs and you had to enter the log in stuff every single time you opened your phone. Beyond annoying.
The beach was the only redeeming quality. The beach was truly beautiful but I would not return to this hotel.

Is round trip transportation to and from the airport included in the all inclusive package?
3 years, 39 months ago
Michigan
Round trip transportation can be added but is for an additional cost.
CCGreg
When you book the trip you'll have to pay for that service. They'll be a bus at the airport where a representative from the company takes you to the bus and they drop you off at the front door of the resort and they'll arrange a time to pick you up also and drop you off right in front of the airport
Albaaa
No, we got it when we reserved the trip.
BobBob
Yes, if arranged by your travel person.

We purchased that separately when we booked trip. I think it cost about $50 for 2 people round trip. Otherwise can to airport from hotel is $40

We golfed at Punta Blanca course, which was nice. Punta Blanca came and picked us up at the resort. We were trying to decide to take clubs or rent. We rented. Golf and clubs were just $85, after 1pm. Cheaper than paying to bring clubs.

Yes, nightly shows. Michael Jackson review was very good. Heard the circus was excellent

Very Very little nightlife. The disco is in the basement and it was almost always empty or a handful of people. No dj's or singers at bars at night. The have an instrumental guy playing until 1000
sunshine7777
There is a board with activities going on throughout out the day. The last one is at 5pm. But then there is either a show or beach party around 9pm. After that you would have to go to the disco. Pool closes at 7pm so it gives you time to shower and enjoy your night.

dress code for buffet? i see it says no shorts or sandels makes no sense, do we have to dress for breakfast lunch and dinner?
2 years, 34 months ago

For dinner in the restaurants -- I always wore capris, t-shirt and scandals -my husband always wore khaki shorts with a short sleeve button shirt or a golf t-shirt and docker shoes - not a problem at all . Breakfast & Lunch Buffet was very low key -- every morning I wore my bathing suit with a cover up and flip flops and same for my husband.
Cat123
Casual. No tank tops, shorts or beach sandals are allowed. Men aren't permitted to wear sleeveless shirts. Please check with the resort directly as it is their dress code. If you have any further questions, you may contact the resort directly or call and speak to one of our Beachologists at 1-800-915-2322.

Spring Breakers - $400 cash deposit?3 answers
Wondering if there were any groups of college students that were required to put the $400 cash deposit down per person that the website claims we will be asked for at check-in? It seems a bit extreme. There is only 3 of us on our reservation, so were wondering if we can get by without having to worry about it.
2 years, 33 months ago
SpringBreaker
Groups of guests age 16-23 years are required a $400 per person cash deposit at the time of check-in. Due to your group being small, this may not be a concern. However this is up to the resort's discretion, so we do recommend being prepared for this deposit at the time of check-in.
JeannieCC
We did not and we were spring break age.
Jenroed
We were told the spring breakers reeked havoc n the resort last year. They were throwing TV's outside, over the balconies, and into the pools.....hence the $400 deposit.

Dinner Reservations - Will we have a problem making them once we check in?5 answers
Hi all!
Any help would be absolutely appreciated. Read we can only have 3 dinner reservations when staying for one week. Will we have a problem making them once arriving? Do they allow you to just walk up to a restaurant in the evening and putting your name in to reserve a table? Thank you! Leaving early June 2017.....
2 years, 32 months ago
Boston, MA
Reservations are required at all but the buffets, you can look into making your reservations with the concierge at the time of check-in. You can certainly ask about putting in for a reservation at the restaurant itself, but this is subject to availability at that time.
JeannieCC
You have to go to guest relations to make your reservations. We were told that we would have to go the next morning after our arrival. I went to guest relations for another reason and was able to book our reservations right then. So my advice is to check out guest relations as soon as possible.
Bobbij
You have to go to the guest service office located on the first floor the day of the reservation. They are open at 7am and reservations must be made before 3pm. Stay away from the Italian restaurant. The marinara sauce tastes like campbell soup. The Dominican restaurant is very delicious! Good luck.
BucketListJT
Yes if you don't know where your going. Buffets are almost always open. Food at resort all around is terrible even at restaurants. You can make reservations day of for the Mexican restaurant and pizza place.
Byma
You have to make a dinner reservations before 2pm. I don't really know about the limits on how many reservation because I made exactly 3. also you aren't allowed to walk up and be seated, it has to be reserved in advance. If worse comes to worse the buffet is always available.

Hadn't heard of plus, but we had premium. This gave us access to a lounge were we could check in and out, get breakfast and snacks, a full bar, plus personal service for any questions or help we needed. Premium also gave us access to the better liquors, though it is debatable that they are any better. Nothing else.

Special Dinners for Anniversaries?5 answers
We will be there on our anniversary and are looking to do a dinner on the beach, more intimate setting. A lot of other properties have this listed on their website and you can book in advance, but I do not see anything like this for this property. Does this property have anything like this?
2 years, 31 months ago
Texas
Generally they should have something like this available, however this based on availability and does usually come at an additional cost. Something like this would need to be set up with the resort directly.
JeannieCC
Yes but I didn't think it looked nice. They put you on the beach in the dark but it was close to the outdoors bar which can get loud. I wouldn't recommend for a quiet setting.
EMAK
They do a dinner on the beach for an additional $35.00. It gets a little windy though and Im not sure of the menu.
jnogueira
yes. they have a lobster dinner for two on the beach. the extra cost for this seemed pretty reasonable as well.
JEnewlyweds
The closest restaurant to the beach is the Mexican restaurant but it's not that big the other is the surf & turf between the pool & beach. Guests can randomly walk through this one before dinner so an intimate setting it is not! We had a nice quiet dinner there but it was part of a wedding package. You also have to make reservations for these restaurants in the morning I think they let you do up to 3 places in advance.
