  Not a 5 star Resort

  I’m not sure how this resort is rated a 4.8. I would give it 3.5. Maybe.. Really a 2.7777 and that’s solely based on the private beach, spa and some of the food. I went here to celebrate my birthday in December 2025 based on the reviews and knowing 1 of my friends had visited recently. During your check in, SOME of the front desk staff are friendly and welcoming. The women employees here are EXTREMELY rude. Like 80% of them. They don’t greet you when you walk around the resort or at the gift shops. The rooms and property are in desperate need of renovations. There are cracked tiles, mold in the bathroom, mildew smelling rooms (that they are clearly aware of since there was a industrial size humidifier and blower in the room), toilets that don’t flush properly, shoddy repairs and paint jobs and last but not least roaches. And please don’t need a washcloth or towel before 9am as they will not accommodate you even if they forgot to give you one the day before. The bathroom near the Taino restaurant smelled like backed up sewage and that aroma wafted into the restaurant to the point where we walked in and right back out. But alas! There is a glimmer of hope here at the resort. The beach and the views are amazing, the spa and massage is a 10/10 (I would suggest getting it on the beach), my butler Henry was fabulous and knowledgeable of the islands and excursions. If you go to the bar when you walk down the main staircase, ask for Christian. Going to the Gala for breakfast? Ask for Thomas the Supervisor or Marisol. They were both top tier with their customer service and friendliness. Want to learn to dance? Look for Adrianna. She is an entire vibe! The balcony on the suites have amazing views of the resort and are huge. I did explain my dissatisfaction with the resort and received an apology, however, if the attitude and rudeness were coming from a handful of people, I could excuse it. But this was across the board. Even 2 of the women in Guest Services were rude. I would not return to this resort.

  Poor food quality

  The food quality is poor. My wife got dihadria..... The al a cart restaurant food quality is very poor. Will NOT stay here anymore.

  Not what it's all cracked up to be.

  This resort is overhyped by the website Majestic Colonial Punta Cana. If you write a less than glowing review, the administrator removes it. Don't waste your money on Club. The lounge is not that great, they hoard Heineken like it's gold, very limited amount of liqour choices, we stayed at Jewel Palm Beach and that lounge is head and shoulders above this one. Had a butler, he was fired for partying with some guests and wasn't replaced, not that they do anything that you can't do yourself. Had a very nice 1st week then a group of Rowdy's arrived, took over the club pool and bar,playing loud music on a boom box, couldn't get near the bar to get a drink, the bartenders Jose and Katea allowed one of them behind the bar to make their own drinks. None of them left the pool so we all know what they were doing, disgusting. Asked to speak to the manager, lady went to the office behind the front desk, returning 5 minutes later telling me that he wasn't there. It doesn't take that long, he just didn't want to talk to me. Asked to speak to whoever was in charge and was directed to guest service . I asked her if this was a joke. Guest Service is running the hotel. They did nothing to rectify the situation, so we were forced to move to the family pool with quite a few other guests. The only reason this resort is not getting a Zero is because of the wonderful staff in the Gourmet Restaurant, they treated us like Royalty.

  Punta Cana vacation

  Very nice and great service. The food was not that good the beef was very tough. I really enjoyed the Japanese cuisine very good. The jacuzzi was not a good experience.

  Love this resort!!!

  We love coming here. The staff is wonderful and so accommodating!! Miguel at Le Gourmet, Ricardo at main buffet and many more but our favorite is Luis our butler and friend. We have had him the last 4 times we have been here and he is the best!! Constant contact, texts daily and a lovely person!! Thank you everyone! See you next year!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
