Very good overall, but a little crowded

My wife and I stayed here for about a week and for the most part loved it. The food was great. They have different themes every night on the buffet and the restaurants were very good. The pools and beach were amazing, all the white sand you would ever want and crystal clear water. They were a pretty crowed and sometimes hard to find a chair. All of the staff for the most part were extremely friendly and professional. Our room was a little dated and needed some maintenance, but we made due. The beds were too firm for our liking and the mini fridge didn't actually keep things cold but mainly room temp. As far as the resort we felt that it was a little to big. There were shuttles going all day that stopped at each end of the resort and once in the middle, but if your room wasn't near one of those stops expect to do a fair amount of walking. The only other issue we had was the amount of people smoking in the non smoking areas. It seamed at times almost impossible to get away from the smoke blowing in your face. We actually left the entertainment one night as it was never ending and we couldn't handle it anymore. All and all it was a good vacation and we had a good time. I don't think that we will be back though as there are many other resorts to try in this area. Hope this review helps!

Unexpected issues whith all inclusive

When we first arrived and were escorted to our room. it was so musty smelling that we could not stay in it and had to change rooms. Trouble programming the safe because the front desk did not change the room number. The new room had a leaky toilet that left our bathroom floor wet. The next day it was fixed. Our all inclusive vacation turned out to have a few restrictions. We are used to being able to visit any restaurant as many times as we would like even if we needed to make reservations. This resort limited the number of times we could go to the restaurants that required a reservation to four times during our stay. When we went to get our favorite drinks at the bars and with a specific brand, we learned there was an extra $2 or more charge for it. If we wanted more benefits, we could upgrade to the next resort in this complex for $30 per person per night. Also, the company made an error in our length of stay and if we hadn't had trouble trying to reserve a restaurant for dinner that night, we would have never known that they had us checking out the next day When this was straighten out, we earned three more visits to the special restaurants which we had to use right away because we were there for only three more nights.

Just OK

Not sure if this was resort-specific but I found most of the employees to be luke warm and expect you to speak/understand an intermediate level of Spanish. The rudest were the front desk lady who spoke completely in Spanish to me. Luckily I picked up a few words in Spanish to figure things out myself. I asked abut WiFi and this question annoyed her. She explained quickly in Spanish, then picked up the phone like she was making a phone call (I'm guessing she wanted us to disappear at that point) but I stood there. Then she hung up the phone and walked away. I looked over at the next front desk agent and he told me we can sit down while the room is getting ready. The next rudest person was the towel hut lady. I handed her 3 cards to collect 3 towels. She gave me 2 towels. I politely told her "tres towels" with 3 fingers up. She said "NO". Then the guy sitting there tells me "There's only 2 towels left. Take it or leave it". The others were just "meh" but there were a few exceptionally nice people (our waiter at Rodizio restaurant, and guest services lady). I guess it just depends on who you get. Food was good but by our last day, we were kind of bored with the selection. All in all, I give it 3 out of 5 stars, and do not regret going, but would not go back ever.

Had a nice time

We did not get the rooms as promised. We were supposed to get second floor and ended up with third floor. The rooms were not well lit. A/c was a bit weak, it seemed to struggle to keep the room cool.
