Breathless left me speechless!
The property was amazing. The landscaping was pristine and every area was incredibly clean. Each dining experience was great, but my favorites were Coquette (French cuisine) and Silk City(Hibachi). For an all-inclusive resort, the food was excellent! What I liked most about the resort were the vibes. The bartenders, servers and entertainers have so much personality and really enhanced the vacation experience. I was there celebrating my mom’s 60th birthday and everyone went above and beyond to make sure that she felt special for her big day. I would like to mention a few staff members that were so awesome: Our concierge, Alexis, was absolutely amazing. He really made my group feel like VIPs and checked in with us each day to make sure that all of our needs were met. He was our point of contact for everything and he did a wonderful job. We were so thankful to have Alexis. Our favorite bartenders (or “Star”-tenders), located in the Lobby bar were Giovanni, Victor and Luis, they were so much fun. Angel at the pool made sure that we were waited on hand and foot in our VIP cabana. And last, but not least, Chris Brown and Seranita had great moves dancing with my aunt. All in all, Breathless left us speechless! It was really a great resort…10 out of 10 for me! Thank you.

Entertaining resort with endless activities
We had an absolutely amazing week at Breathless!! This was our first time visiting Punta Cana and we definitely come back. Our concierge Emilo went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and had what we needed. We enjoyed getting to know him over the week! Jennifer was our favorite pool server. That girl works hard all day to make sure everyone is happy! Chris Brown on the entertainment team kept us laughing all week! We upgraded to xhale and would absolutely recommend that to just about everyone. The upgraded liquor made it worth every penny. Every morning we stopped by the Xhale lounge for top shelf drinks and shots of espresso. The drinks at the lounge are 1000% better than at the pool or other bars. We liked our swim out room but not sure we would book it again as we didn’t use it much. We loved all the activities and entertainment. Honestly all the shows were very good and the live music poolside had us dancing in the pool! Food was mostly impressive, better than I anticipated. I would recommend this resort for anyone looking for a lively resort, with endless things to do. There is definitely a party vibe but it’s not chaotic. It was perfect for us! We really enjoyed having access to Dreams Onyx and went over for a few meals and hit up the water slides a few times. There is not much else outside of the resort in this area so excursions are somewhat limited. We took a taxi to Macao beach and had a great day! We will most definitely return to this resort! We had an amazing time!!

A beautiful and lively resort with great staff, but an unfortunate reception mistake overshadowed my stay.
I stayed at Breathless Punta Cana from July 5 to July 8, and while the property itself is beautiful, my experience was unfortunately overshadowed by a serious issue with the reception and reservation process. I initially booked my stay for two nights through Booking, and later modified it to add a third night. I received a confirmation of the modification. When I checked in, reception told me they only had me booked (and charged) for two nights. I then received a message from them confirming that everything was fine, and that I was covered for three nights at the cost of two, unless I added extras like bottles or spa services. I specifically followed up with them via message to confirm: “Are you telling me that I am covered for three nights at the cost of two?” — and they clearly replied yes, everything was covered. I emphasized that I did not want to be surprised later at checkout, and they assured me it was all fine. However, two days later, I was locked out of my room. When I went to reception, they told me I needed to pay for the third night or leave. I was extremely upset, as I had a clear written confirmation from their staff that I was covered. I ended up having a disagreement with the assistant general manager, who insisted that I “should have known” I needed to pay for three nights — even though his own team had told me the opposite in writing. I consider myself a fair and reasonable guest, and from the beginning, I had every intention of paying for all three nights. However, when the hotel explicitly told me I was covered for three nights after paying for two, and I confirmed it with them directly, I expected them to honor that. This incident caused me unnecessary stress, anxiety, and frustration during what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. Outside of this major issue, the resort itself is very nice: the pool area is great, the French restaurant is a highlight, and the food and beverage staff were all excellent and welcoming. The room was comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was lively and fun. In summary: beautiful property and great service from most of the staff, but my experience was completely overshadowed by a major failure in communication and professionalism at the front desk. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures no guest has to go through this kind of situation in the future.

I won't be back
The Good: The rooms and grounds are well kept. I will say the entertainment each night was good. The Beyonce show was phenomenal. The entertainment at the DJ pool was decent as well. The food was basic inclusive resort food, nothing special, nothing horrible. The Bad: The poor communication of daily activities, the personal concierge service is a joke. Our concierge, Alexis was not helpful at all. I truly believe they are overwhelmed. Unlike true all-inclusive resorts, the rooms are NOT stocked with snacks or liquor. Your refrigerator has a few sodas/water but that is it. Drinks are also watered down, you can't taste any liquor. The beach was a BIG disappointment. The beach area was covered in seaweed. You could not get to the ocean with out treading through the gross, smelly seaweed. Also the water at the beach is not blue its brown. Someone pooped/vomited in pool and instead of clearing the pool to clean it, the pool guy did a poor job removing it and continued to contaminate the water by using the same tool with the bodily fluids on it to sweep the pool. Limited beach and pool activity ruined this trip for the 4 couples in our group.
