Sep 16, 2025Very nice and clean resort
We just got back. Transfer from the airport took about 50 minutes. Check-in was very quick. it was just us checking in. The resort was not full, pretty quiet. I asked for an upgrade if available as well that we were celebrating my wife's birthday and if they did anything special. The front desk guy seemed very disinterested. Didn't bother with either request. We didn't let that discourage us in any way. The room was nice and clean and we had no complaints about that. The mini bar had sodas and 4 cans of beer and water. If we needed any more, we just needed to call, and it was delivered. Overall the cleaning staff were friendly and we had no issues. We left a tip daily. We also tipped the mini bar staff. The food we liked, all the a la cart were very good and the servers was good. The buffet was okay. Not very big and had average selections. We have been to better. The beach was very nice and basically no seaweed at all. We were there everyday. Pools were great and not crowded at all. The shows that we did go to were average. The disco was not good. The music at the resort, like all other resorts was very repetitive. Drinks, no top shelf liquor unless you upgrade. They had coors light, Presidente and Heineken in cans upon request. Small sports bar at Dreams that had various games on. A couple of pool tables that were in pretty poor shape. We did not try the lazy river. Just too much to do, but it looked like fun. We visited the Casino a few times, its pretty small but overall it was fine. We liked the resort and it was good that we could visit the Dreams as well. The staff for the most part were nice, not all of them are friendly but that's okay, we don't expect that. I would recommend this resort and I would go back.

Some parts of the resort have been upgraded but some parts could still use some love- FreeStyle pool needs some love. Food and beverage could be improved significantly - drink recipes were way different depending on what bar you went to and the overall quality of food was just mid. The staff were nice. Do NOT let them talk you into doing the Unlimited Vacation Club sales pitch- they were supposed to stay under 90 minutes and after almost 3 hours I had to basically walk out due to how pushy they were. Ruined my entire morning. Not worth it for the $100 'resort cash'.

I recently stayed at Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa, and overall, it was a vibrant, fun-filled experience that’s perfect for travelers looking for energy, entertainment, and relaxation all in one place. Resort & Atmosphere: The property is stunning—modern design, well-kept grounds, and a lively vibe throughout. This is not a quiet, laid-back resort; it’s designed for socializing and fun. There’s always music, pool parties, and activities happening, so it really lives up to its “Breathless” name.

A must come!
We have been to three resorts in Punta Cana and Breathless has been the best experience with food quality, service, and spa experience - highly recommended!
