    Not impressed

I usually never really write reviews, bur this is a special case....I came to this hotel from August 29th to September 5th, right from the get go our experience was horrible, we arrived on my birthday, we told staff there to see if there was something we can do to celebrate, we got nothing, but many people had balloons and banners on their doors for anniversaries, birthdays etc. When we were getting ready for bed we were greeted by cockroaches. The whole week we had to sleep with a towel under the door because the roaches kept getting in. On the 31st my partner and I got engaged on the beach there, we again attempted to tell front desk to see yet again if there was a way to celebrate or if we can get a bottle of champagne... and again.... nothing... no help. Alot of the staff are miserable and could care less to speak to other people. There was only 2 people that I can say made me feel better there and that were the bar girls Beverly and Cornela. Would I go back there again? Absolutely not.

    Terrible Resort Vacation.

We stay in Sunscape from August 27-September6, 2025. For my 25 years of vacation travel in resort, I met terrible resort. All a very bad service starting from the opening refregerator on our 2 day they did not put water inside of our fridge, did not feel airconditioner in our room, it was very hot, working terrible. We were in room 2211. Smell of towels terrible, we came with 2 people from our group of 6, for their Birthday Celebration. I came to receptionist in the Lobby and ask who can help me with some decoration and glass of wine, they direct me to a VIP people next door in the Lobby. I talk with Lady, explain situation and ask if it is possible to make something in our room, like Birthday banner and glasses of wine or something? She told me yes, and she put room # in computer. When we came after dinner it was nothing, this was disgusting. Management not working at all. I came twice, no result. In the buffet not enough glasses for juice, not enough cups for soup during the lunch. Quality of food much lower, than we are expected. No seafood at all in the buffet, just sample fish no shrimp, no salmon. long line for omlet section. We did not see in the morning any kind of cottage cheese at all. Very limited fruits and desert. Near the Oceana restaraunt, during our dinner we all saw rat, running around. From my opinion, this beautifull resort with perfect beach, crystal clear sea water beach should have a more professional and experience Management and staff. People in the bar not friendly at all.

    5 out of 10

The Curacao Sunscape needs a major refresh, and the service provided by most of the wait staff is sorely lacking. The food selection and quality is mediocre but edible. There was only one functioning coffee maker in the buffet and the lines for breakfast coffee were terrible. The shower was lacking a door and the showerhead dribbled pathetically and really needs to be replaced. We were without warm water for almost an entire day. Now the positives: the mattresses were phenomenal and the beach is spectacular, although the resort should build more tiki huts for shade since you needed to claim a shady spot by 7:00 am in the morning. There is exceptionally good snorkeling available right off the shoreline in front of the resort. The pools are very nice. The gym was small but very well appointed and the spa services were amazing! We had a couples massage and the masseuses were really incredible. An 80 minutes full body massage and sugar scrub was only $125 - quite a value! Although the PADI dive shop was not owned by the resort, it was really good. We dove twice with Ocean Encounters and had a tremendous time. We had a good week but were disappointed overall with the food selection and the service. We have traveled to many Caribbean islands and stayed in multiple all inclusive resorts, and I’d rate the Sunscape a 5 out of 10.

I left a day early — unsanitary and not the room I booked

Absolutely horrible experience. I booked Deluxe Ocean View King; I was assigned an interior review. At check-in I was pressured to attend an an off-site “vacation package” pitch (prices shown >$20k). At breakfast the on-duty cook ate from the buffet with his hand and other staff ate in the dining area while in uniform. I had no hot water in my shower despite two reports. The second time I went to report it, there was blood on the lobby floor with no signage. Fire alarms went off multiple times and there was a nighttime power outage. I was promised a FREE massage, but was initially denied unless I paid $50; it was only honored after I pushed back. The room lacked basics ( a working phone, alarm clock, USB charging ports). I left a day early (4→3) and requested a refund/compensation.
