Good Hotel

Renaissance was a nice hotel, very clean, front desk doorman, very friendly. The food was delicious. I thought I was going to be disappointed being I had the all inclusive and there were only 2 restaurants, but the food was the best part. The evening staff at the restaurant didn't seem to be as motivated as there would be under 10 people there and it took about 20minutes to get our drinks. The hotel is in walking distance to downtown Wilmstead, which was nice they had other restaurants, bars, local performers entertaining on stage if you want to venture out. The hotel is not on the beach but they have a beautiful infinity pool on a man made beach which was nice. We took an island your one day and it took us to some tropical beaches which was really nice. The hotel isn't a big resort where they have lavish grounds( large property) if that is what you're looking for. But good enough for a little get away.

Our first trip to Curacao and it was pretty awesome. We went in July 2018. It's their slow season and we liked that. Less crowds, less traffic but more attention paid to you by staff and localsl. GO ALL INCLUSIVE we did and I can't stress that enough. It's expensive. Average dinner at Infinity bar or Nautilus $87-110 US dollars. Definitely rent a car. Driving isn't bad and everything is off two main roads. There's a parking garage right across from the resort basically part of it. Free parking for guests too. The best beaches are a 45 min ride and worth it. The infinity pool and beach they have is cool but gets crowed due to size. Some beaches charge admission and for chair and snorkel gear $7-15 range. Shete Boka national park is great. The caves are cool. Now for what they don't show and tell. Huge oil refinery and trash incinerators in the middle of the island. It's and eye sore and smells going to and from airport and sightseeing. Can't see or smell at the resort though. Parts of the island are littered with trash including some of those beaches and exploring areas like the national parks. They do try but it's a slow process. And for the resort itself. It was amazing. The staff were awesome. Luis checked us in. He was the best part of the stay. Tips, advice, stories, knowledge. He's a true asset. It was my birthday vaca and he remembered, sent a bottle of champagne and a personal note. He takes pride in his craft for hospitality. I feel like I made a true friend. Nick and Blue bar is great, funny and knowledgeable. He's another asset to them. Bianca at the Infinity bar was A plus. Great food and drinks and tipped us off to a local festival happening that night. The whole beach staff for infinity pool and bar were great. The beach and pool were always clean and perfect. As for Nautilus, sadly we were not impressed. This was their signature restaurant and rumored as one of the best in Curacao. Remember slow season, well food choices are not the same when it's slow. It makes sense but have either a wider array for slow season or have local chefs prepare local dishes with the Renaissance chefs. It would be a perfect time for it. What they did offer was good though and done perfectly. In closing remember "Island time" does exist so don't wear a watch. It's way better that way. Overall a great trip and experience for our first time. Can't wait for in season to go and see the difference.

Better than expected

We had the absolute best time here — the service from the second we walked in (thanks Tiffany!) was incredible. And the all inclusive deal was awesome. The management does a fabulous job making a memorable trip for everyone. That have fun things in the lobby every night with the sweetest staff I have ever had the pleasure of being around. Well done to all.

Hotel Description

Renaissance Curacao Resort and Casino All Inclusive: Explore the Dutch Caribbean's Historic Willemstad

It's time to go to the sparkling Dutch Caribbean coast of Willemstad. The Renaissance Curacao Resort and Casino is a stylish hot-spot for guests looking for the relaxation of the beach and the excitement of Curacao. Located next door, the 19th-century Rif Fort was once an active fort that protected the island from pirates. It has since become a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to a host of excellent restaurants, trendy shops and sizzling nightlife. Order a cocktail at Blue Lobby bar and enjoy the lively setting; no matter what you're looking for, guests of the Renaissance hotel in Curacao are never far from the party after the sun sets.

Curacao sunshine feels fantastic on the shore of the hotel's elevated, man-made beach, complete with saltwater, soft sand and an infinity horizon--you get the full beach experience! If you've had enough sand, the infinity pool is steps away for a relaxing swim or sunbathing with a frosty mojito from Infinity Club Beach Bar. Slide on your flip-flops and head inside the Infinity Beach Bar for a three-course menu specially-prepared by the chef, or try Nautilus for authentic pannenkoek, yummy Dutch pancakes drizzled with aloe vera syrup. Tanned and with a full tummy, get out your lucky charm and head for the hotel's gorgeous Carnaval Casino, where Vegas-style slots and table gaming keep guests going through the night.

Whether you're chilling by day and partying at night or adventuring all day, there's plenty to keep you busy: hit the links at Blue Bay Golf Course, stroll through incredible vegetation at Christoffel National Park, enroll in the Dolphin Academy for a day or take a walk over to the colorful town of Punda for the fresh fruit and veggies at the Floating Market. When you're ready, head for the colorful and contemporary decor in the Renaissance Curacao guest rooms. We love the gorgeous Ocean King guest room, which boasts beautiful views of the coast and passing cruise ships off the full balcony.
