  Excellent place to stay

  We had an excellent time at the Holiday Inn this past week. Atmosphere was fantastic and the staff was very friendly and helpful. One who stood out was Loiuse at the pool bar. Excellent service, very friendly, remembered us after the first day, and always had a smile on her face for us. We went to have lunch and beverages there sitting in her area just so she could serve us. We are already planning our return in January 2027.

  Great budget friendly hotel. A bit dated but great location! Joshua at the front desk went above and beyond to accommodate us! Sadly, the hammocks are gone and we wish there was complimentary coffee in the morning. Overall, decent.

  The only positive was the beach...

  We just returned from a family vacation at the Holiday Inn and overall I have to say we were not impressed. Starting with the good, the food was amazing, the location is great and the fact that the pool and beach are so close to one another is amazing. For those going to this hotel that pay for all inclusive need to know that bottles and cans are not included so if you want water in your room you need to either bring it in a paper cup or fill a reusable bottle. Premium alcohol is not included and bars don’t open until 11. Most other hotels I have been to open at 10. Worst of all, you have to pay for a beach umbrella. After paying over $10k for a vacation this is insane to me. We had to call front desk two days in a row because they never left us any toilet paper or Kleenex in our room. On top of all of that our air conditioning was leaking. The rooms are quite outdated and the staff were very hit and miss. Some were so nice and some were just miserable and rude. We couldn’t even sit on our balcony without being eaten alive by mosquitos. They could at least spray the property like others do in Aruba. When we would go to our chairs in the morning, there were days when garbage from the previous day was still on the floor. All in all, after going to the Riu twice, we thought we would try something new. This wasn’t the right choice. We will definitely be returning the Riu hotel instead of the holiday inn.

  Lovely

  The restaurants were lovely. The Italian restaurant had the most delicious Exceptional service from Ricardo and Leondel!

  One Happy Island

  My wife and I booked this Aruba Holiday Inn through the JetBlue vacation web site in October 2025. We chose this hotel because we have stayed there in the past. Our stay was from January 11th through January 18th 2026. At first, we were first given a room on the 7th floor in the Palm tower, which had an ocean view and a parking lot view. During the first two nights, we experienced very loud music and noise coming from the clubs and bars which continued until after 1am. On day 3, we went to the front desk and spoke to Taylaure, a supervisor, who switched us to a beautiful room facing the pool and ocean on the 5th floor of the Sea tower. The remaining days and nights of our stay were exceptionally wonderful. All of the employees of the hotel, were friendly, outgoing, and very professional. A special thank you to Eugene, Kyle and Smitte, who went out of their way to assist us in making our stay enjoyable and memorable. Although we have stayed in other name brand resorts in Aruba in the past, we have already started making plans to return to the Aruba Holiday Inn next year. This is one of the reasons why Aruba is known as “One Happy Island”
