Wonderful resort for the family in the quiet part of town.
This is a great place to stay as a family. I really don't have any complaints except that the beach isn't very good at all - brakish water and lots of seaweed. But we didn't feel like we missed that - we enjoyed the beach at secret beach which is one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen and isn't very far. The service at the resort is excellent. We used their shuttle service to and from the ferry and that worked great for us. They also arranged a golf cart for us at a reasonable rate - a six seater that fit everyone - and the golf carts were very well maintained with easy parking. I'd highly recommend renting a cart for the whole stay so you can go into town for dinners and make the trip to secret beach. Not many things within walking distance of the resort. Resort felt very very safe - there is a security gate that cars and carts have to pass through to get in. And the resort is smallish so you feel fine with the kids roaming around and going between the pools. Pools are great. The kids loved the water slide rock think in the middle of the main pool. And they also liked the warm swim up bar pool and the really hot hot tub. Never felt crowded. The paths in the resort are sand covered so you can really wander around barefoot. We never had a shortage of beach chairs by the pool so none of the madness of waking up early and trying to "reserve" some with towels. We were in a 2BR suite, which had a pullout sofa in addition to three other beds, so there was enough room for 5. One bedroom to share wasn't great, but it was all very clean and updated and had a full kitchen. There is a grocery store about a mile away so you can stock up and have breakfast and lunch at the resort. We had one lunch at the resort restaurant and thought it was only okay. Drinks at the resort were great. Quiet, calming and special. Easy to recommend.

Love in Coco Beach Belize
Top notch food, rooms and service! Hands down amazing property and the people who work here are Great! This was our first time in Belize and I fell in Love! Would like to shout out the amazing staff, Mitch, Tito, Alfonso and Joel, plus many more. I started looking at when I can book our next trip back before we had even left!

Magic Mike from WYO
Very quiet early in the day and superior customer service. It can get a bit loud at main pool due to kids having fun but just move down to beach pool. Main restaurant was very nice, bar pool restaurant was great for a quick bite. Down town area is very busy that is why I would recommend this resort just far enough out of town. San Pedro is growing not sure how long this will last. Bring lots of $$$$ you will need it.

Loved Coco Beach! Belize...eh
Coco Beach is a lovely resort. Not all inclusive, but pricing is quite friendly - you get good value for what you pay. Roughly 75% of the property is condo rental, and the remaining 25% hotel, which is where we stayed. Amenities are ample, staff is terrific, and for a resort experience, all one could expect and more for the price paid. Food is good to above average. There was a wedding party that occupied most of the resort over our stay, and we never heard them after about 9. Not a beach destination in our lexicon, but if you want to dive or game fish, close to optimal: when wind does not blow. (As it did, oddly, while we visited.) Skip the not so "Secret Beach" trip - waste of time: better lounging at Coco. There's some interesting folks up to the North, but be prepared for a bone jarring trip as you head to Margaritaville (and back). South from Coco is more chaotic as you approach San Pedro. But interesting ex-pat society, and a new mercado where you can purchase essentials like booze and snacks to supplement the resort. Though... the resort prices were really quite fair and no b.s. tack-on fees. Towels, chairs, etc. all part of the price of admission. We took the ferry into San Pedro and the Mayan flight out without real issue. The airport is an upgrade from Cancun, but crowded and wear your ears. Belize has its challenges. The residents do not respect their gift of landscape. Trash, particular plastic trash is evident nearly everywhere. Security was present and evident all along the resort perimeter.

Just Book it!
Beautiful resort. The rooms were heaven. The staff were wonderful. I just wish there was a swim able beach. It was very relaxing. Water available in rooms. Bring your water bottle with you so you can refill. All the usual expected amenities are in the rooms. Pool is wonderful and not over crowded. My husband and I had a great time.
