The resort was beautiful. The staff was nice. Everything is extremely expensive. Wish all inclusive was an option

Let me start off by saying this resort is beautiful! The grounds are well kept. Friendly staff. Cameras and security everywhere so you are safe. With 7 pools, you don't have to fight for chairs. Plenty of bars and food options so check your tablet in your room. No worries, wifi access is available throughout the resort. Be sure to check the daily specials. Each night a different bar offered a drink special. The Jazz lounge had a nice live band on a Monday night. Monkey bar may also have a drink special. Nice dimly lit spot to cozy up and enjoy the music. Think someone plays live there too. Loved the honey chicken wings and prongs at The Book. Hubby enjoyed T2. Cigars and football. Enough said! Now, for the cons.. The resort is so big that my husband and I were given wrong directions from staff at least twice. The food can be hit or miss. Food prices are HIGH! I mean high! You have a service fee and VAT fee. If you order a drink, order several at once at the pool because they do not leave an open tab. Meaning you paid for the drink with a 15% service fee, plus VAT. You want another drink, same charges apply. That service fee is shared so your server does not receive a tip directly. So if you are compelled you will basically be double tipping! Ok, they don't automatically turn down your bed in the evening. We did not know that you have to request it on the I-pad so, now you know. Oh, don't take any of the incidental snacks before reading the price menu on the I-pad! I will leave it at that! Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We would recommend and even consider staying here again. The food prices was our biggest con. There is a $200 hold per night and you can run through it quickly so pace yourself and keep up with your purchases. We didn't let that stop our fun but, it's not the place for a budget conscious consumer.

Booking on Cheap Caribbean was pretty simple and fast. I was able to follow everything and make sure I booked our trip properly. Baha Mar was absolutely amazing and it was our first vacation. No issues no stress. The workers are extremely friendly and happy with what they do to make vacationers feel the most comfortable! Everyone on the resort and off the resort were so kind and happy! We will for sure be visiting again!

Amazing hotel

I would totally recommend Grand Hyatt Baha Mar to anyone that is ready to book a trip to the Bahamas. Baha Mar is absolutely beautiful....the pools are beautiful, staff is friendly, plenty of good food to choose from inside their main restaurants or outside of hotel along the beach where you can find the food trailers. I really enjoyed the beach with their free kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling gear, and rafts to lay in the ocean. They also offered free chartering to another island called Bobmoral island across from the baha mar beach that gives you the option to enjoy a day or everyday if you choose to do so. The boat seems to run every hour to get you back and fourth from hotel to the island, so no need to worry about having to spend the whole day there. The island has a few restaurants and a chance to interact with dolphins or sting rays of course there is a charge for activities but makes it convenient to enjoy while visiting Bobmoral. Baha Mar is very upscale, so yes, it is pricy, but affordable if you stick to a budget. The hotel charges everything to your room which can be convenient, but also an easy way to lose track of your spending if you are careless. They do deliver Dasani bottled water every morning with housekeeping or just ask concierge through out the day. They also have free lemon tap water near the pools along with free sunscreen lotion. I wished the hotel had a little bit more entertainment in the evening for my teenager that is 16 years of age we would usually stroll around the hotel grounds once the pools were closed, or hung out at the cigar bar that has a DJ every Friday and Saturday evening. There is a huge casino and a club that starts at 11pm which requires you to be 18 or older. The grounds next to the hotel was under construction while we were visiting 12/5/18 I was informed by a staff member that they are building a water park that will be part of the Baha Mar and expect cruise ships to stop so they can fill the casino...pretty much to stay competitive with Atlantis. Overall, my family enjoyed the vacation and would do it all over again.
