This was my 1st time to Aruba! I’m definitely going back. The Riu is located beachfront & walking distance (5 min) to a lively “strip” with shops, cafes/restaurants/lounges; etc. We stayed @ “adults only” Riu Antillas. All inclusive (buffet, a La carte restaurants, lounges/bars -drinks, snacks)included. We weren’t sure if we’d get into a La carte restaurants upon reading some reviews, however we had 6 dinners all @ a La carte restaurants …not a problem getting in & rarely waited in any line. Rimini -Italian (pretty good), Krystal -French (excellent), Steak House (very good), buffet “Mexican night” food was amazing (huge variety). Breakfast & lunch (main floor buffet) buffets were very good…a lot of variety. Snacks, Lounge 24 available 24/7. White party Fri. night was fun; casino was ok, Few gift shops on site too. Overall atmosphere was great! Staff members nice, friendly. Shout out to Kevin “Elite Customer Service “ he’s the Best; went above & beyond (gave us amazing room with ocean view; assisted us with few extras) The hotel is beach front…beach is clean white sand, ocean clean, white sand; not rough or rocky either. Gorgeous beach!!! Lounge chairs available 7am onwards (tip the guys -chairs locked up) palapas get taken early (grab one by 6am-place beach hats;etc on one) towels 1 per person opens @ 7am. Bring few cheap towels from home if you need to. (Strict towel policy). It’s a windy island; be prepared for blowing trade winds (sand) bring a hat & sun block…..you’re close to equator. Hotel offers free use of floats & snorkeling gear @ beach. Tons of activities (extra fees) located along Palm beach. Safe destination!!! Hotel room clean, view amazing, spacious, balcony with chairs & table, bathroom 10/10 huge mirror with the BEST lighting…”girls if you know you know” ;) Very good pool area with several outdoor bars (tip the bartenders) our only complaint was that there was “no” music playing within beach area. ARUBA is a fabulous vacation destination! 10/10 👍👌🏼

Pros: The location of the hotel is great and is extremely walkable to downtown and we loved walking the beach path every day The room was very clean, great shower and we had an amazing view Some restaurants were okay. Krystal had the best food by far. The gym was lovely and very clean but too small for the size of the resort The staff were very friendly at the restaurants, lobby bar and front desk, etc. Our cleaning person was so pleasant and really kept our room clean. Cons Getting a chair on the beach is impossible Music was so loud day and night even on the 13th floor Our keys got deactivated almost twice a day. The mop water they use in the lobby bar smells SO bad. On several occasions, the elevators were down and there would be a long line. Only to get up to your room to a deactivated key 🫠 Food is below-average for the money at the other restaurants and they only have buffet for lunch and breakfast. They tell you the restaurants are first-come first-serve at checkin but what that really means is first to wait in line to write their name on a list at 5:30pm. It felt as if they do this so you don't have a chance to eat at the restaurants. The 24-hour cafe should be avoided at all costs. The food looks disgusting and sits out ALL day. After eating one of the snacks there, I was sick the entire night.

Fantastic time at Riu Antilles!!
We had a fabulous time at the Riu Antilles! Our room on the 17th floor was awesome! Thank you Luis! The beach was awesome! Enjoyed our days in the beach relaxing and swimming. Thank you to Yahaira who was a server (very efficient and friendly) at the breakfast and lunch buffet. Also, thank you to Stella who was our housekeeper. We will return!

The Best Place Ever!
I love this place SO MUCH!! The nicest people ever work here and always make everyone feel so welcome. There’s always entertainment with music, games, dances and so much more. I can’t wait to come back next year and see all of my lovely friends I made from the resort. The hotel is so clean and modern and the services are out of this world. I highly recommend this place. I can’t wait to come back next year.
