    False advertising, waste of money, blaming others

    Abhorrent. I checked in a few hours ago and I'm already looking for a way to get my money back. What the 'resort' doesn't tell you: - 9 restaurants is realistically 2 due to the resort being split across 3 locations (the family section, the tower, and the private island). Within the 9 restaurants you can include 2 identical 'bars' and a Starbucks. - Island view means you get to either look at a Zara building and a busy roundabout, or a dodgy parking lot next door. The other side is the main road and/or cruise ships - Pool access either refers to a pool next to the literal main road or another property that's a 5-10 minute walk along the aforementioned busy road - Sound proofing is minimal as you can regularly hear people walking down the hallways or the cars outside What an absolute waste of money. I've stayed in Ibis hotels which provide a greater vacation feeling. If all you want to do is sit in one of the 3 casinos or shop at the same 6 stores you find in every city, go here. If you want any feelings of vacation or relaxation, you'd be better off pitching a tent. I'll be attempting to do a chargeback on my credit card for the blatant false advertising. Also, upon requesting a room change due to how poor the first one was, I was told I should've booked via the Marriott app as apparently Amex doesn't provide the right information.

    Best Cabana Couples Massage!

    My husband and I stayed here in January 2026 for business and pleasure. We had a wonderful experience. We had a couples massage on the island with Catarin and Yanetza, they were great. One of the best massages we’ve ever had!! I highly recommend both ladies.

    Don't do all inclusive

    This is our 4th visit to Renaissance, 6th time on the island. We always come back to Renaissance. The food use to be "fresher". Everything seems to be stale, days old.. one night got sick. The fruit seems to sit out too long and the bread, re-heated as the sides/corners are like rocks. They are always out of something and if you're not a big meat eater or vegetarian, this restaurant is definitely not for you. I use to come here because the food was better than the other hotels but they are on a budget I guess. Service is good depending on how big your tip is.

    Yearly Pilgrimage

    Much improved compared to last year. Staff remains superior . Totally different experience than the Marriott stelaris casino. Rooms need a little attention and satellite tv would not hurt. Free wifi is included . Has its own private beach via boat ride

    Paradise in Downtown Orangestad, Aruba

    Quiet. Well run. Hunger Games for prime chairs but towels are easily changed, 5 games of bingo are efficiently conducted in 30-40 minutes , staff is friendly and recognizes returnees warmly, beautifully appointed 1 BR suites where the bedroom is like a man cave, great breakfast for $26 with fruit, custom eggs, juices, cold cuts, pastries etc. Happy hour runs 4:30-6:00. Jose is a fabulous mixologist and accompanied by Junior keeps all the patrons well served. Alexander covers the beach and pool for drinks and food and always has a smile and a kind word for guests. Lucy and Rosalba anticipate every request in the restaurant and AiZhen makes the best omelettes known to man. Lourdes and Ana in housekeeping were very helpful in making the sofa bed as I have a bad back. Leroy , bell service, and Jihadi , front desk , are excellent first impressions upon check-in. And Alex, maintenance, helped with the regulation of the A/C to meat locker levels in humid heat.
